    Only just came across your channel. This series has helped my Haas career so much. Just done Baku and I got a race win with K Mag, due to strategy after a red flag, couple of VSCs/safety car and then rain😂😭

    There are some instances of robotic audio on this one, probably me being a tad to loud resulting in this problem.

    Does it seem realistic to be able to attack that much and not lose that much tyre wear or time?

    • @NeroBax
      @NeroBax  7 месяцев назад +1

      Not really, rather I would personally prefer it if attack got nerfed a bit as it is just straight up the most effective strategy for most tracks as you can for the most part just ignore the tyre wear as you will just be so much quicker.

    Would you say it’s too early to start research around Miami on my Alfa save on hard difficulty have gotten a few points already in the Sprint in Baku?

    • @NeroBax
      @NeroBax  7 месяцев назад +1

      Aslong as you can reach the board goals by the end of the season you can start researching anytime honestly. The main thing is to avoid debt. Starting research in Miami shouldn't really be a big issue.

    I like this Haas série. Huge fan of the team. Do you planning to scout a new driver to replace Fittipaldi?

    • @NeroBax
      @NeroBax  7 месяцев назад +1

      Probably in the future, however right now the focus is on Magnussen and Hulkenberg so for the first season it would probably be best from a growth standpoint to keep Fittipaldi rather than pick up a talent as they won't really get practice time and we are still lacking a proper race sim.

    Swapping out the gearbox at 9:26 did nothing to imporve your car. Both ERS and gearbox only start to slow you down then they are damaged (yellow and later orange). But as long they are 40% or above they perform just as well as a fresh one. And since it is very unlikely that your gearbox loses over 7% of durability during a sprint, there was no rational point to swapping it out. Yes, you could have crashed and damaged the gearbox. But then a damaged gearbox would be the least of your problems.
    Badly damaged ERS / gearboxes can lose you about 2 seconds of lap times on a track with about 1:30 average lap times. For the engine this is of course a different story.
    I took over 100 test samples to verify this btw. This is not guesswork.
    Edit: I generally enjoy your work. Take this as constructive criticism. And keep up the good work. :)

      @hebisty4163 7 месяцев назад

      What did you test this on? Because I use yellow/red parts for practice and consistently get top 5 times. I also use them for q1 and always reach q2 and use my best for the latter stages of qualifying and even then the times are normally 1 second difference max. And that's 3 90%+ parts vs 3 red/yellow parts. Defo not 2 seconds per lap.
      So having 1 yellow would maybe lose you 2/3 tenths of a second per lap not 2 whole seconds lol.

    • @NeroBax
      @NeroBax  7 месяцев назад +1

      It is as you say that you generally don't lose anything from ERS/Gearbox before they hit 40%. I switched them out slightly early as you will generally have more wear as a result of practice rather than Quali+Race. As such even if there is no benefit I prefer to switch the first set out as soon as it hits around 45%. More of a personal preference thing.
      Don't worry about criticism though I welcome it.

      @@hebisty4163 Here is one test run with 20 test samples. I did this about 7 times with different states of the power train duration.
      Power Train (Ferarri) Tests in Silverstone:
      Bottas flying laps in Silverstone with 100% Engine, 76% ERS and 92% Gearbox: 1:28.554, 1:28.656, 1:28.619, 1:28.619, 1:28.802.
      These parts I use as default for the test.
      Engine Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Silverstone with 56% Engine: 1:28.714, 1:28.841, 1:29.045, 1:28.841, 1:28.705.
      Gearbox 100% - Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Silverstone with 100% Gearbox: 1:28.956, 1:28.717, 1:28.839, 1:28.786, 1:28.686.
      Gearbox with minor damage - Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Silverstone with 32% Gearbox: 1:28.750, 1:28.916, 1:29.646, 1:29.029, 1:28.556.
      All flying laps were clean with no car blocking him and with fresh softs and with automatic mode.
      The 56% engine is a bit slower than the fresh one. But you can still use it.
      The 100% gearbox is not any faster than the 92% one as expected. The 32% gearbox however shows some performance drop represented by a loss of about 0.2 sec laptime.
      Here is another one:
      Power Train (Ferrari) Tests in Austria:
      Bottas flying laps in Austria with 100% Engine, 84% ERS and 44% Gearbox: 1:05.119, 1:05.092, 1:05.056, 1:04.977, 1:05.064.
      These parts I use as default for the test.
      Engine Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Austria with 63% Engine: 1:05.047, 1:05.043, 1:05.061, 1:05.152, 1:05.149.
      ERS with major damage - Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Austria with 18% ERS: 1:05.526, 1:05.650, 1:05.667.
      I don't think we need more samples for the ERS. And since Logan Sargeant (a different driver in a different team) is somehow crashing his car in the first two minutes of Q1 (which results in a red flag) every time I start Q1 with the 18% ERS, acquiring these samples really takes some time.
      Gearbox 100% - Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Austria with 100% Gearbox: 1:04.955, 1:04.994, 1:04.953, 1:04.993, 1:05.164.
      All flying laps were clean with no car blocking him and with fresh softs and with automatic mode.
      The engine at 63% really surprised me. It seems a bit slower. But hardly noticable.
      The ERS at 18% clearly slows the car down about 0.5 secs.
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      Generally I would not give much on being faster in practice. Also if you car is much better than the others then you can run with a damaged part and still win of course. But does it help? Certainly not. The numbers clearly show that.

      @@hebisty4163 I found one more, that might interest you. This one has a 2% gearbox in it:
      Power Train (Ferrari) Tests in Canada:
      Bottas flying laps in Canada with 100% Engine, 89% ERS and 54% Gearbox: 1:13.551, 1:13.217, 1:13.217, 1:13.329, 1:13.531.
      These parts I use as default for the test.
      Engine Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Canada with 69% Engine: 1:13.387, 1:13.499, 1:13.502, 1:13.444, 1:13.441.
      ERS with minor damage - Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Canada with 21% ERS: 1:13.654, 1:13.763, 1:13.588, 1:13.580, 1:13.637.
      Gearbox with major damage - Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Canada with 2% Gearbox: 1:15.736, 1:15.466, 1:15.343, 1:15.473, 1:15.374.
      Gearbox 100% - Power Test:
      Bottas flying laps in Canada with 100% Gearbox: 1:13.267, 1:13.396, 1:13.318, 1:13.374, 1:13.267.
      All flying laps were clean with no car blocking him and with fresh softs and with automatic mode.
      This time the engine wear is more visible with 11% under the threshold. But it is still somewhat usable in a competitive setting.
      The ERS with 21% also loses you about half a second of lap time. Needless to say, it is not recommended to use a 2% gearbox in qualifying, since it slows you down more than 2 seconds.
      The 54% gearbox shows no performance drop compared to the 100% gearbox

    Are Arthur Leclerc and Ollie Bearman the perfect choices for the 2025 lineup in the HAAS save for this game?

    • @hebisty4163
      @hebisty4163 7 месяцев назад

      Bearman can reach overall 80 by the end of the 3rd season. If left to level up with the AI. If you take him on as your reserve driver from season 1 you can get him to 80ish overall by the end of your 2nd season.
      Arthur is poo. I'm about to finish season 3 and he is only 71 overall.
      Zane maloney is good. I got him middle of my first season, kept him as a reserve (used for p1) until start of second season I got him from 71 - 78 in half a season. Then I replaced alonso , I'm 15 races into my 3rd season and he is 85 overall aged 21.
