Vauxhall Astra 2007 (H) Front roll bar drop link replacement.

This was an MOT advisory. "Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint has slight play Offside Front Upper (joint)" So I hadn't got a clue what this was where it was and how much it would cost? So a quick look on eBay and I found the "drop links" for only £11.00. So I thought it was worth a go to replace them. Anyway as is the case most times the video took hours to edit but the job took no more than about 30 minutes.

Very good video, I found out that if you don't jack up both wheels together it makes this job so much harder, good information.

Thanks man useful video, just had mine mot'd and it came back with the knocking still , they didn't pick it up, I thought it was the spring which I had to replace for the mot but now I know what it is and how to fix it . Thanks

Great video and I am tackling this tomorrow on my H 2006 1.4. I have found them Delphi ones on Ebay for £33 for 2x.
If yours cost £11, what's so special about the ones i bought??

I basically brought the cheap pattern ones. I paid £11.25 in Feb 2021, you can still get a pair for £12.85. Not sure how long mine will last but they looked ok at the time.

good video mate..did you take both wheels off the ground?

yes, you should lift both wheels of to avoid one side putting force into the roll bar.
