HI, please update this video, there are several things that the manual suggests that would make it easier to use. 1. Turn the bowl around, the small little nodule is to be placed in the back which helps secure the bowl to the base, 2. You should always start the machine before you pour your mixture, this will keep it from hardening before you start your churning, which could cause it to be too hard to remove from the bottom & sides of your bowl. Not being critical, just sharing.
I was gonna buy an Icecream maker until I saw one of these......I bought a pasta maker attachment for 109 bucks for my oldlady. It made the perfect Christmas gift. Just found one of these for 69 bucks.....I can't wait for next Christmas.....It's summer in Texas.....We have bluebell so it's hard to top.....
No way I'd have enough room in my freezer for that big ole bowl. I use the Ninja Creami. With that you freeze small containers of the ingredients. Take it out and mix it with the creami. Takes less than 5 minutes. Same results in the end. I would've tried this if I had space to freeze the bowl. I wonder if you can make sorbet with this? I make sorbet with my creami more than ice cream.
What do you mean it’s not the better one? It’s kitchen Aid. The others that I’ve seen, the knock offs, the liquid in between the bowls walls ends up eating through the bowl.
It’s only works with some models. I don’t think it will work with smaller one. When you go to purchase it, there is a list of models it does not work with so just read very closely.
I feel like taste testing is so subjective because everyone has their own idea of what’s good and what isn’t, but I thought the ice cream was pretty good. Honestly, not as good as what you can buy at the store from some brands though.
In my opinion this is a waste of time and money. The ice-cream is never firm enough to eat straight out of there. For the amount of room it takes up just buy an ice-cream machine.
Remember to add ingredients as your mixer is running so that you don’t strain the mixer motor.

The nub on the bowl is for lift mixers
Solid helps man!
Nub doesn’t do anything with this model
Waiting for mine in the mail. Can't wait to use it and make my big guy some butter pecan (his fav) and me some Mint chocolate chip. yum!!!!
How did it work for you?
You need to start the machine before pouring the mixture in
Too late l just broke the attachment 😢
I am amazed as to how many RUclipsrs pour the base in the bowl before starting the mixer.
@@cherylcabral4People don't read the instructions.
Was so helpful thank you
Why is this kind of cute??❤
Hi you should add ingredients to already running ice cream maker otherwise you can break your machine

Just got this in the mail and can't wait to try it out. Have you tried to make gellatto yet?
I have not, but I imagine it would work well!
I might end up getting two of them so I can rotate them. My new mixer is coming this week.
I just received my second bowl yesterday. Purchased my first one last July. No longer paying over $4 for a cone of butter pecan.
I bet this would make bomb slushies!
Great idea. I just got mine yesterday, I'll have to try slushies for sure!
@@SayMyNameAgain lemme know!

I’m sure you can!
It says we can! Can’t wait to get mine and find out!
To each his own.
So my question is do you have to use one of the powder mixes?
No way! You could use any recipe for ice cream that you wanted.
@@AJSWoodworks Thank you.
No
It is not the better one, but it is cool to make your own ice cream.

@@maryjanepartlow7267 Wrong. Please do your own research before annoying me with your dumb comments.
@@maryjanepartlow7267 Do you understand what I said to you?
Does this fit the biggest KitchenAids - 5KSM7580 and 5KSM7990?
Yes, it does
@@AJSWoodworks Thank You VERY MUCH!!
Will this work with a Kitchen Aid stand mixer?
That was a KitchenAid stand mixer in the video. Are you referring to a different type of KitchenAid stand mixer?
It works with the 4.5 Qt Mixer, 5 Qt Mixer, 6 Qt Mixer, Bowl Lift type mixer, and Tilt Head type mixer.
@@AJSWoodworks Yes, the lift type.

@@maryjanepartlow7267 Thanks
How does it get cold?
Keep it in the freezer. It has a freezable liquid inside the walls of the bowl.
Has mixer…mixes by hand.
I thought the same thing lol
How about taking the bowl off and trying the ice cream…..

@@AJSWoodworks I totally disagree. I make a custard base and I will never buy a store brand ever again!

@@itznadzii lol, thanks
Are you aware of the fact that before adding the liquid, the mixer should be on? You would not hear the scraping sound.
Yes, thank you.
You have nice arm actually lol
That's what I was thinking too. Made me not pay attention to the ice cream maker haha

It’s certainly only worth it if you enjoy making your own flavors
