I'm not really interested in Aquariums and all that but the way your videos are taken and the way you edit them definitely adds something to it and makes it much more enjoyable and attracting. Loving the content, keep it up :D
What a beautiful plant. I've been looking for an alternative to frogbit but not duckweed. I think I just found it. Now only if I can get my hands on some. Thanks for sharing and as always do what you do if it works for you.
I have a Fluval U3 internal filter which has 3 flow settings. I was using the top one which gave out plenty of flow which oxygenated the water well. One of the other settings is a spray bar which according to the manual is for a planted aquarium. There's little surface movement. My Frogbit arrived today and what a lovely floating plant it is. Sadly the roots go right down to the surface which is not what i want. After researching more it looks like Salvinia Minima is the plant for me. I would rather have the red root floater as it looks beautiful but my light probably isn't strong enough for it. So i have just brought Salvinia Minima off ebay. It's still a nice looking floater and is perfect for me. Can't wait to see it in my tank. What catfish is that at 5.11 ?
Instead of using 1 high-end light use 2 low end submersible light to grow floaters and stem plants. Put one under them and one above floaters they come with suckers stuck em on the lid.
I have duckweed on my tanks. They get easily into the flow of the filter and it is a mess work to remove the excess of duckweed. Where can I get one of these here in Mtl?.
Have you thought of installing a surface tank divider?..you can control the area it can cover, keep it away from filters but still have a nice section of floating plants...just an idea I'm going to do now I have purchased some water lettuce.
Based on your experience, is it ok if the leaves get wet from the “spray” created by sponge filter? I find that the water droplets don’t really roll off the leaves easily..
I was looking for a video on a particular part of British history and RUclips decided to recommend me this! I have absolutely no idea why. I sat through the entire video not once or twice but three times. It was like i was watching a promotional video. I can see myself playing this while soaking in the bath. I've clicked the thumbs up and subscribed. Now back to what i was actually looking for!
To anyone looking to get this, please ensure your tank has a low flow. This plant requires a still surface and bright light to thrive. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk
also what editor? your editing skills are something ive never seen before on YT, definitely unique. Definitely something to be proud of. If u ever need help w/ anything including advertising hit me up.

Not sure how your water pump is set up but try to avoid too much perturbation on the surface. You could try to isolate them inside of some sort of floating straw, a close ring.
The light must be good if my floating plants roots tripled in 4 days and my plants on the bottom got new shoots already unreal I never had luck with live plants
@@mom2four527 Oh i could not even change water honestly, the down side of floating plant is the plant below are shaded and algae start to get the best overtime, my tank now is more dirty, i neglect it for a very long time.
Aqua Splendor I just started with the floating plants an I do water changes weekly but I’m checking on things now since I have some of them to see if it’s necessary to do it that often I also have plants under but mostly Anubis an so far so good. I’m sure you will get back on top of things I think everyone goes through down times. Have a great day!!
Bonjour, on s'était parlé chez Aqua Plus. J'aimerais en avoir, aussi comme alternative à la frogbit, juste me contacter sur Facebook. Michelle Savard. Merci à l'avance!
I struggle with this floater and gave up. I still enjoy watching this video though. I'm growing and selling Frogbit and Dwarf Lettuce. The latter being the easiest to growfor me.
this plant is sooooo adorable. I stole a tiny bit from the New York Botanical garden years and years ago, it's so cute and so easy to grow!!! :)
Why’d you steal it lol
Just kidding around
@@adonscadlock1704 you're right I could have just asked
Thanks for the disclaimer at the end. 100% right

Loved the camera work! Nice music too. Subbed instantly!

Beautifully made video, I came to check what species I have&got almost a spiritual experience 😂😇
Thank you ;)
Such a beautiful video, thanks for putting that bit about invasive species they can be very detrimental to native wildlife 👌🏼
We are the invasive species

The worst part of salivinia and duckweed is the arm coated in them after reaching in your aquarium!
Loved it, will try it in my pond the thank you
My salvania minima is drying up in the edges, I need help and tips to grow it, please help me
Well done!
Thank you Brian!
Lovely video and music. I'm looking to buy this floating plant. Bit worried that i have quite a bit of current.
Yeah watch out with the current on the surface, you could protect them with some sort bent straw floating on the surface.

It doesn’t care, trust me!
Great video. Any idea what is the difference between Salvinia Natans and Minima?
Natans Is way bigger and leaf are more folded together sometimes.
Instead of using 1 high-end light use 2 low end submersible light to grow floaters and stem plants. Put one under them and one above floaters they come with suckers stuck em on the lid.
Because it is so invasive--I just saw plenty on a kayak trip in NE Florida, it shouldn't really be sold or made available to the public.
love it ....... awesome
Thank you Em Sultan :)
Super
I have duckweed on my tanks. They get easily into the flow of the filter and it is a mess work to remove the excess of duckweed. Where can I get one of these here in Mtl?.
I give some to Aqua Plus or Aquarius time to time :)

Yeah, has long they are not submerged

Very good Ted talk. I feel smarter already
Mine is dying off, the big leaves always melt and die. I'm left with only babies and they don't grow so big either. What do I do?
MAybe you have too much light? Or not enough, can't tell sorry
simply fantastic photography. Sub'd. Wanna know what cam tho haha

Can it be eaten by fish like grasscarp.please ansar.
I don't know I don't have carp, it's possible.
Wow !!!
Should you just throw the extra plants? Can you use them for anything?
Sometimes I put them under dirt for other plants outside
It has 12% protein and makes an excellent addition to chicken feed!
due to water pump my plant drone under water ... how i get them back in good shape
any suggestion or idea ?

@@AquaSplendor love you for your support
I just got a bunch of that plant for my tank I got a 7500k light is that good I'm not to good with live plants just starting out
Kelvin is a useless unit for plants, spectrum nm and par are more valuable. Just for your information.
It says Im on it to what's that mean
The light must be good if my floating plants roots tripled in 4 days and my plants on the bottom got new shoots already unreal I never had luck with live plants
Thats interesting, cuz mine keep dying !!! I keep buying ziplock bags full of em locally but they always thin out and die !!
It might have to do with the difference of light.
I got twelve pieces for my five gallon betta tank… Should I be scared?
Scared of what?
my salvinia is all dieing but the rest of the acuarium is thriving any ideas
Maybe it receives too much light?
How often do you do water changes
Every week when i'm discipline, every month when i'm not ;)
Aqua Splendor I would think you could get away with monthly with all the plants lol you have a beautiful tank!!

Hi. Would Salvinia and Azolla grow together? Nice video. 🙏
Yes
@@AquaSplendor Thank you for your quick response. Appreciate it.
Duckweed won’t grow in my tank so I’m going to try this plant, let’s hope it grows :)
I have never heard of someone failing to grow duckweed, is your temperature too high or something?
No Face temperature is good, same with lightning. It just didn’t want to grow, it kept dying! I tried salvinia and it completely took over
@@noface17244 I couldn’t grow duckweed either! Tried twice and both times it kept dying off. May have been too much surface movement?
