i really wish ISN would have better swatch photos for their polishes. i always appreciate your swatches and combos. i ordered candy castle last night actually and had hoped the jelly would show more but it is still pretty. i will probably use for jelly sammiches

I would wear firefly over black most. It mostly reminds me of an autumnal polish. I think the candy castle looks nice over white. Also, the firefly would look nice over a black dupe polish

i do paint my toenails, more in the Summer months, but at least once a month. I typically use my harder to remove or glittery polishes since they seem to last longer.
An Easter skittle mani with all the colors with the white as a base 😍 or a galaxy skittle with all the colors with black as the base 😍😍

I'm quickly discovering that sheer isn't my thing, but the flakies themselves are really pretty! I'm more excited about their Fortune Tellers collection, those seem so vibrant and fun and I think I'd wear pretty much every color. Loved the video and the layering differences you showed!
I'm definitely intrigued by those too! I'll hopefully swatch them soon, I wonder if they can be used as toppers too 🤔

I keep my toenails painted although they do not always match my fingers. My toes don’t need to be painted as frequently so while I do paint them at the same time as my finger nails and they will match at that point, I change my fingers much more frequently and let the toes go for awhile.
I'm by myself in my basement staying "WOOOOOW" to this without any sense or irony or thought before speaking. I probably should do something else with my life but hey - life can be sad and this helps. This video was really fun though - I've wondered about this brand for awhile. Thanks, Kelli
Another fantastic video, Kelly!! And don't worry, you are not alone with your fun fact. I used to wear polish on my toes all the time until I had a cuticle infection on left big toe and took my nail polish off to keep an eye on it. Even after it healed, I haven't painted my toes. (And similar to you, I paint my fingernails 2-3 times a week!)
12:00 These are so sheer it makes me wonder what they'd look like in 1 or 2 layers over a one-coat cream of the same shade as the base. I reckon that Fire Fly shade in particular would absolutely pop with a neon red base. ❤ Edit: these also remind me of the Holo Taco Unicorn Skin toppers, which I believe have clear bases, but similar vibes.
Ooh that is a good idea! Yes definitely a similar vibe! I Scream also has a version of their own iridescent flakies toppers that don't have the jelly base!

I’ve always done my toenails infrequently but I’ve been doing them a little more often recently and did pink for Valentine’s Day even though I’ve always been single lol
Fairy Fountain and Firefly are very pretty. Love them over black the most! I’m a sucker for flakies and these really shine that way. Lol I also don’t paint my toenails often, maybe a couple of times a year! I try to use more neutral colors so you can’t tell as much when they chip 🤣
That's a smart idea, it's so frustrating when toenail polishes chip cause they're so far away LOL
I never used to really care for iridescent flakies but have come to really enjoy all the looks you can get from them. I want to try the fairy fountain and firefly for sure!
I wore toenails polished nonstop for about 10+ years but a couple years ago I started taking time off in January-March or April. I have to pay to get pedicures since my back pain prevents me from bending far enough to do them myself. I love having more nails to paint but only get them done once a month without nail art so I can just focus on the polishes! I’m also one of those people that wears flip flops any day the temps are above 40 because I hate shoes! I take really good care of my feet every shower so I think as long as you take care of them well they just finish your look! Like an accessory. I wear rings and bracelets to accessorize and feel like toe polish does the same!!

fairy fountain over black is SOOOO PRETTY
The blue and yellow are really gorgeous! Also i would probably layer them over a matching creme base to get the most bang. But they're also cute as is

Iridescent polishes are so pretty you did a great job showing these. I think they will be a really great transition from Winter to Spring polish set. Over White they are soft over Black it gives them other times during the year to wear them. I really like the different shades of Flakes too!! I love to Matte my iridescent polishes sometimes....OOhh endless possibilities! Thanks Kelli

1- I love flakie toppers. I have Kbshimmer's Take It Or Leaf It on right now over Orly's Opulent Obsession. I'm calling it a Valloween look, because it's vampy.
2- My strategy for my toes is to paint them every 4-6 weeks. I try to sort of pre-plan what to wear if I know I'm gonna dress up or need to look nice. I'll at least try to match my toes & fingernails with my outfit.
Before I got into nail polish last year, I would just put on one of my 2 or 3 polishes at the beginning of the summer & touch it up as needed.
Hi Kelli 👋 I usually do not put polish on my toenails in the winter because my feet are not in sandals. Definitely a pedicure as soon as it warms up!
I only paint my toe nails in the summer and am much more willing to go wild on my toes than I am on my fingers.

Oh wow, I really like the yellow overall - I like yellow polishes but I wasn't expecting for this coverage. The more vibrant ones are beautiful as well, plus the purple. :). I love the transformable polishes as well. I have to paint my toe nails for flip flop season. It is hard to bend enough to get to them easily, so I only paint them when the color starts chipping. It has been several months since they have been painted.

I always paint my toenails... I have a slight ingrown toenail issue but if I trim / file them regularly I don't have issues. At that point I might as well paint them too! I use Orly Breathable a lot because they typically only need 1-2 coats.

I loved Fire Fly and Fairy Fountain the most over black. I'm always eager to see a pure yellow, like 24-hour Sunshine, instead of too green-leaning. I can wear a sunny yellow and green, but with a green shimmer in yellow, they pass prugly and go directly to ugly with my skin. I'd love to see you do some Easter nail art. Imagine a bunny face with pink-flake ears. A duckling in 24-hour Sunshine. Or simple ovals of the polishes over a blue or white background to look like eggs. Also, you could put on some of the pretty pastel cremes, and paint the flakes over part of the nail. I guess I found the collection inspiring! I love that you could basically wear them year-round by pairing them with different bases. They seem the most versatile of any recent collection.
Haven't painted my toenails in years. Not sure why. I think I'll start this summer too.😊

I really like Candy Castle and the yellow! Marshmallow is pretty too. I like them one their own at two coats. It’s cool how even they are over white though, makes it versatile.
I only paint my toenails in Summer. The last two years I went for two coats of Everything Taco over the naked nail and that is actually enough to last me the really warm months where I live. You don't really see if there are bare patches/chipping with a topper lool
YES! I never paint my toenails and realized that it is not a thing in the indie NP community either! I act like I need a 5 hour time period to paint my toes or something and the whole thing is blown way out of proportion in my mind....

I usually paint my toenails only during the dry and hot months (March-May) because then it starts raining here and I don't wear sandals anymore 😊
I probably wouldn't wear the same color on both but I think I'll try to match them with complementary colors haha!

This is a Spring collection that I want!!! I typically skip over all Spring collections because they seem the same pearlescent pastels. I’m really impressed with brands this spring season.

re: toenails -- on me polish just lasts so dang long that I end up not needing to paint them often. Now I get regular pedicures so I'm changing the color at least every four weeks. Strangely enough, I will wear any color on my nails but stick to red and pink mostly for my toenails with the occasional purple. No idea why.
Ooh that's interesting! I wonder if it's because they're more of the "mainstream" color palette, I used to stick to blues and greens on my pedis for some reason but I definitely want to dip my toes into new colors (pun intended 🤣)
You’re not alone with bare toe nails. I used to get professional pedis, but because of the “plague” I stopped. When I finally took off warn polish I had white spots on my toe nails. They have been resting for about a year now. Maybe this summer.
I used to wear open toe shoes all summer and always had my toes done. About 5 years ago I started getting plantar fascitis and still have it, and had another foot problem, so I was in sneakers and almost no more open toes. I have done my toes like 2 times the last few years, once when I went to FL for a day & a half for a work trip this year.
Like you I have not painted my toenails since the summer of 2019.

i have the Snow Angels set of iridescent flakies (Nov ‘22 limited release), so didn’t know what to expect from these. thank you for all the swatches because while these are pretty, i know i’m fully covered with the set of toppers that i have. some of these i could see myself wearing over a matching creme but i don’t think i’d wear any on their own as “jelly” iridescents
Oh yeah tbh if I had to choose between the two collections, I'd choose Snow Angels for their versatility!

I am not normally a jelly girl but I am an iridescent girl. I'm going to have to try some of these. I am leaning towards the three that you liked the most the blue, the orange, and the yellow. I had Achilles tendon surgery 7 years ago and have not painted my toenails since. Which is totally funny for me because I used to go in and get pedicures monthly. After my surgery I didn't want anyone touching my feet.
Totally understandable haha! Would you ever be interested in painting them again yourself??
@@KelliMarissa unfortunately the surgery did not go well and I have limited mobility. I can clip my own toenails but I can't bend over very far or for very long. I don't think I'd be able to give them enough attention for them to look nice for a pedicure.
Hi Kelli! I'm not sure if anyone has asked yet, but there was an alert that Orly has retired Synthetic Symphony. Saw it on another streamers live. I asked Orly CS and they confirmed it. I love your vids and bought Synthetic Symphony on your recommendation (it's my favorite too!) and was wondering if you'd heard anything about this? So I’m absolutely loving these over black, but I’m terrified of staining. I bought a popular indie brand’s fall collection and even with Orly Bonder base, I’m still growing out the stains. Any tips on your favourite black or using dark colours without staining?

I love jellies and iridescent flakes, but I don’t think I’ll get these. They’re pretty, but I don’t think I’d want both the flakies and the tint it’s already in often enough to justify buying them. I am pretty picky though.

@@KelliMarissa my spin on your floral v-day art, right hand fully your design and left hand just the solid colors on separate nails, white, light pink, pink and 2x rose gold because I was lazy. I later added some flowers and dots on the left as well. 🌸
I remember you painted them for the Bahamas lol i haven't in awhile either. My two big toes had a horizontal line near the cuticle and they both just grew out. Like the nails split Still don't know if polish related but probably won't polish for awhile.

I always wanted Holo Taco to do a similar collection to this for their June Rainbow sets they do.
These are pretty. I think perhaps you may get bigger pay off if you used them as a topper over their own base. Green on green, blue on blue, and so on. You'd save polish that way. I am not a fan of these kinds of polishes on white. I think it makes the white polish look patchy or wrong. I'll probably pass on these unless they have a huge sale and I can get a great deal on them.
I think that's a smart idea! Maybe two coats over onecoat of a similar base for maximum payoff!
Omg. My love for flakies that started my nail polish collecting habit back in 2009 or so. I love this collection so much, it might make me break my no buy. Does anyone know where's the best place to buy it, if i live in Canada?

I don't have the patience for toe nail polish upkeep. I love doing my nails, but for my feet I just focus on exfoliation/hydration.
I like these as toppers. The blue is especially pretty. My gripe with I Scream is always going to be the bottles. I wish they would just transition to the plus series bottles, because I’m not trying to store or paint with those giant cone caps. 😣 I would own so many of their polishes otherwise
I feel like they're in a tough situation because a LOT of people were upset when they came out with the Plus line (because those people prefer the ice cream bottles haha), I think their only option is to keep making both to make everyone happy 😅
@@KelliMarissa Very true! It’s impossible to make everyone happy, and I imagine changing all the bottles would also pose a logistical challenge.
