Some good hard pruning. They look better for it and will love the extra space they now have

I think they’re really happy with it. Most have started to push a lot of new leaves. I have them on a bottom shelf near a sliding door and the temp stays around 60F. They seem to be loving that too.

Thank you! Quite a set back for them but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

Thanks J! I’m seeing a lot of new buds so this should be a good restart for them.

They’re back budding really nicely after that. Pretty much starting over but I think it will be worth it. I would love to get a white one too. I passed up an orange one on clearance at the end of last year and am kicking myself.

Looks nice but I would have left them to grow in the deeper pot for another few years to get a thicker trunk faster. 😃

I actually decided to try to air layer the large branch this Spring. That is currently in progress. I will make an update on that soon.

It is the fall/winter temp requirement that I can’t deal with. I live in zone 5 so my plants need to be hardy to this zone (in my shed) or tolerate wintering in my living room. I don’t have Chinese elms for this reason…
