As a lifetime athlete, I started running more seriously when I was 38. Each year, my goal is to run my fastest mile, 5k, 10k and 1/2 marathon. Still getting faster at 44. Still breaking PRs each year. Learning a lot. Knowledge and nutrition has been the real reason I’ve gotten faster. I am a cyclist too, and I am WAY faster on a bike than I’ve ever been.
Age has always been a “limiting” societal pandemic. We only feel old or older than we physically are when: 1. We live a sedentary lifestyle 2. Don’t fuel our body with quality food It’s been proven that you can be 70 years of age and have a 50 year old fitness age. Never settle!
I remember when you filmed your run with the iphone 6! Sadly, I had to retire my iPhone 6 this year😢 but picked up the iPhone 11. It made it through my big fall unscathed when I fractured my ankle the other day!
QD: I bought my brother a coros pace 2. He has recently started exercising/running again and I thought it would be good encouragement to provide him with a piece of tech. We don't live in the same state (in Australia) but when he was visiting last weekend it felt really good to go to our local parkrun with him. Was very enjoyable seeing him learning to butter that bread.
Last piece of tech I bought was building my first PC. So much fun doing the research, buying all the parts and getting the performance you want. And is definitely just to enhance our lives. Wife wants to start taking photos. And I want to start filming running and fitness content. And it starts this weekend going to the high desert of California and climbing my first mountain.
QD: Garmin Enduro 2 watch. It’s the best Garmin watch made and beats the Fenix 7X solar bc it IS the same watch but with a better battery and brighter flashlight.
Qod. Last piece of tech gear were some Shokz Open Move "headphones". I always have headphones on and this years training is 90% trail. I wanted to be able to ear my environnement and podcasts/music. I lov'em! Lol
Garmin Instinct by necessity…the viviomusic Garmin was a lemon. You’re right Seth, Skechers came into the running shoe industry and attacked them at their weakest; the footbed! Will be interesting to see how the others now respond! Innovation, baby!
Anyone deal with runners knee? Quad and patella tendonopothy? I’ve been dealing with this since June last year. Took 7 months off and surgery (Plica) and still have tendon discomfort.
Question: how does the KT tape help with recovery? I sometimes wear it on the ankle to help not rolling my ankle but I’ve never seen it worn for stretches post run like this.
Where do you go to try on Skechers shoes? Every outlet or mall store that I see only has their boring shoes. I can't find a place to actually sells their real running shoes
When go pro first came out they were loosing money not because they were to high priced not because they were nothing changing enough and were not making enough money of them not because people were not buying them lost of people were buying them it was because they made the first go pro so good and all most impossible to break and damage or just stop working for no reason so people Didn’t need to buying a second one for really long time before the first one broke or stop working that where they were losing money
I found the video of the little boys being brainwashed into worshipping sports stars to be disturbing. “Sports, a curious spectacle of human folly. The masses cheer mindlessly as grown adults chase balls and trophies, wasting their time and energy on trivial pursuits. Instead of focusing on intellectual growth, personal development, or solving the world's real problems, they revel in this shallow display of athleticism. Truly, it is a sad reflection of misplaced priorities and societal distractions." - Crowley

Started running 14 years ago. I’m 56 now and leaner and faster than ever. I’m hoping to run for many more years God willing.
Last piece of tech I bought was the Garmin Fenix 7 for both running and backcountry skiing. It’s been awesome so far!
QD: Polar H10 chest strap to see if there's any big difference in heart rate tracking during workouts compared to the wrist sensor on the watch.
SJD is digging the Skechers 2023 lineup and I'm loving it!
just got my first run in, in the new ride 11’s and i agree they are amazing !
QD: GoPro 10. the plan is to do some filming of my running and biking. Also son’s projects.

I'm from CLE and a Cavs fan. This is how we felt in 2007 when we went to our first Finals!
QD: last tech picked up for life was the Fujifilm InstaX Link 2. Portable way to print small pics of my life’s moments or share them with others

I have the GORun Ride 9, which I liked a lot. The 11... the carbon plate isn't making my old feet too happy. They feel great otherwise.
Yes
Just replaced my fenix 6 pro with the forerunner 965
QD: Apple Watch Ultra....great purchase!
CO native Seth! What Tribe?

QOD: in January bought a garmin 255s to replace my vivoactive 3...had a ton of kohls cash so I ended up paying $50 😊
This Christmas went from my Garmin 55 to a Garmin to a on sale 255. I’m a high schooler who is trying to be more serious and scientific on his runs.
My favorite running shoe brand 😢
