Such a good looking shoe! Well they did drop the price when compared to Ride 10, made it alot more affordable and a much better value for your everyday runs etc.
Hyperburst is the OG and still one of the most remarkable midsoles. First time in one I was like "how is this both cushioned AND responsive?!". I just wish they wouldn't have gone Hoka in that each evolution gets heavier and harder. MaxRoad is ruined, now just a lifestyle shoe due to all the weight and thick upper.

I like this shoe, but the archfit is a bit too extreme. It's finally forming to my foot now. The archfit in the Max Road 6 is not nearly as built up, and I enjoy that shoe more than the Ride. Edit: the Ride 8 was one of my favorite shoes EVER.
Tried on and promptly returned. Narrow toe box, tight, low mid foot. But the midsole felt incredible. Skechers, PLEASE bring this in a 2E or anatomical last!
Thanks for adding this. Sometimes I want to forget that my feet are more like yours, when the narrower guys get all excited by stuff. But, unfortunately the feet can never forget. When Thomas commends a more sculpted midfoot, my feet might as well curl-up like a wicked witch, and go home.

Can you use your running clout to have Hoka produce a normcore version of the Speedgoat 4? It still is the best sneaker I've ever worn for daily use, especially in hospitals, and I see a lot of other HCPs wearing them too. Thanks.
Have you found they stretch at all? I am deciding between a half and full size. The full size feels too long. The half size (the size I wear in Nike Pegasus Trails) is fine in length, but the sides are a little snugger than I would prefer. Not tight, just less width than the full size above. Now you have got some miles in on these shoes, I wondered if you could share some insights on how they stretch or don't. Thanks
As much as I would love to try this one, in Canada it is priced at $185 which puts it the same as the Novablast 3, Ride, Rebel V3. Does it compare to those?
Wow high praise , glycerin 20 was a workhorse for me . I switched to puma forever run as was lucky to pick up on sale and I am happy with it as well for those daily cruiser miles .
Sketchers runnings shoes look like they would great but it is impossible to get any in Australia. You occasionally find some from 3 years ago that seem to have been shipped from other parts of the globe 😢
Personally, I would be more upset if you were missing any of the other more traditional or "serious" running brands. Robbe gets some grief for even liking these as much as he does. It's an interesting foam tech, but the few models aimed at serious running don't accommodate/suit everybody. They don't always get all the other aspects beyond foam-tech perfect. And there always seem to be dozens of more casual Skechers models (their core market) which they hope you might confuse with the more scarce serious running models.
Best used for night running so your friends don't see them on your feet. Maybe paired with some Dockers cargo shorts? All kidding aside I'll pass on this one.
Personally, the Ride 11 for more of a max cushion/bouncy ride... but also love the Cloudsurfer for what it is and you can also wear it in public when not running - R
Too many people I know say this and it's too bad. I've loved their shoes for year. They've had some misteps (all the knit upper'd ones were awful a few years ago). Their trail shoes are still improving, but overall, a great bargain brand.

When I had Skechers I never felt excited to grab those shoes to go run in and this is a subjective thing but I've also hate the look of every shoe they make most of their shoes look like knock offs and blocky looking. It has been a while since I ran in their shoes maybe I'll give this a shot blind folded.
Velocity nitro 2 at $120 has been my best value daily trainer. Competes with the novablast, rebel, and Pegasus of the world too

I still wear my three pair of my favorite Ride 7, still most comfortable skechers running shoes
Cut my teeth in running with the original Skechers GOrun back in the day. I think they stopped after the GOrun 5.
