    I’m totally against cheating in football but it’s a bit rich calling a referee out for something that happened nearly 20 years ago for which he was punished and served his time for when Toney has only just returned from a ban which included bets on games he played in. We either accept people make mistakes, serve a punishment and give them a second chance or ban them for life.

    • @binbag5238
      @binbag5238 Месяц назад +17

      The difference is that Toney isn’t required to display objective integrity on the pitch. He doesn’t have the power to influence the decisions in a game. The referee obviously does, has failed to act with integrity before, and should be banned.

Why he keeps giving centre half's a free ride wandering deep forces the midfield deeper. Then the defense drops deeper again. It all comes from him. I'm getting tired of this "You can't leave Kane out ". He's been pretty poor throughout the whole tournament. No player should be bigger than the team, but Kane clearly is. Bring on Toney from the start , rather than bringing him on with 10 mins to go when they're struggling.

    Alan saying The Dutch only came 3rd in their group, they beat Poland, should've beaten France, unlucky with that goal disallowed, and the Austria game was just a great game, could've went either way they battered Romania, beat a good Turkish team, saying they haven't played a "big gun", England have played Serbia, Denmark, Slovenia,Slovakia, Switzerland hardly world powerhouses Netherlands have scored 9 goals to England's 5, The Dutch should be favourites on that form

    • @lws7394
      @lws7394 Месяц назад +1

      Gotta take in account that the Dutch had to leave 5 (potential) midfielders home with injuries : Frenkie de Jong, Atalanta's Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon. and 2 Feyenoord players Quinten Timber and Mats Wiefer (now Brighton) are all injured !
      With the midfielders Reijnders, Schouten and Veerman, they have just 24 caps between them ( with many as subs..) !
      There are a lot of 'new' players that still needed to fit in like Xavi Simons (had to play wing in stead of '10' ) , Jeremie Frimpong ( a revelation at Bayer Leverkusen, but Dumfries has always been great in the NL team) , Micky van der Ven, Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee , Ajax Bryan Brobby ...
      There was a lot of puzzling what works best for the team ... Koeman still relies a lot on Memphis Depay , who was often injured the past 2 seasons ..

    I think Netherlands are a better side than the lads make out. The teams they've played have been stronger than the teams England have played, and they've created more chances, while conceding a similar amount of chances.
    I see them as a threat. England have been defensively sound but we haven't played a team with the quality the Dutch have up top yet. I see this as a very tough test for England. If we get through it then I'll start to believe!

      @@TheSpoovyAgreed! The way we've been playing, nothing is a foregone conclusion. I just feel some pundits have underestimated the Dutch quality and threat. They're only ranked 2 places below England in the FIFA rankings and England have struggled against far worse opponents. I expect neutrals would be making this one too close to call - possibly the Dutch being marginal favourites.

    Hi gang. Not sure if you read these comments but hopefully someone who moderates just might and could forward this question for you to touch upon in conversation at some point (soon if possible)
    "Having been part of international squads for tournaments, is there really such a blank out of outside media that management and players don't hear that could influence performances?. With all of the English nation discussing everything from formations to lineups and reviews of performances, is it really realistic to think that there isn't someone in the England camp that isn't taking notice of the outside critics and praises that might make their way back to management?"
