***** After firing the L85A2, You really learn that they've upgraded that weapon in one sweep to make the best battle issue rifle in existence.
+The Royalist I can't say it's the best, but it's certainly good. Personally, if I had to go to war with either this, an M4, or an AK, I'd probably take the M4 simply because it's a "smaller" and more easily adapted rifle than the SA-80 is. That said, I've got an airsoft SA-80 and I love it to bits. The 19mm top rail is annoying though.

Yeah apparently the L85 is bad for left handed shooters.
***** I really don't see why. Sure the shells would eject into your arm, but that can't be too bad? IDK Everything else seems to work just fine.

For those who are saying "wow only 6 shots hit?"
Only 6 hits showed up on the vest.
More than likely after the first pass in the car, it would be seriously damaged. Shrapnel and stray bullets would pass through the car and injur/kill the driver.
The rounds that would of gone through the car won't show up on the vest system.
Also i didnt see any GPMG's or Minimi's shooting at the car.
The rate of fire and calibre would have definitely destroyed the vehicle and its occupants

+MrLauritsabel you'd be suprised actually, it doesnt take many bullets to kill an engine (5.56-7.62ish) but it does *generally* take more than one
especially on a moving target like a old fat man in a porsche

SA80A1 was probably one of the if not THE worst modern rifle in existence. Jammed, unreliable, shitty plastic parts broke easily...you name a problem, it had it. The SA80A2 is SO much better, as a serviceman myself, my SA80A2 has only jammed on me once on a 3 week long exercise, and even then, it took moments to clear.
@@odinharou7112 wasnt the m16 when it was first introduced into nam also really shit? like i heard soldiers would dump their m16 for the "ak" if they had the chance
@@majorchaos5000 Yup...but the L85A1 was a lot worse...
@@majorchaos5000 The m16 itself wasnt the issue, it was the powder they were using and the fact they told troops it was self cleaning at first. Which while the m16 is reliable like any gun it still needs to be cleaned.
The difference between the British army and the United States Army is that the United States would explode the car then start shooting it repeatedly until the car dissolved into the atmosphere

we've had both version of the porsche and i must say, the new version is a beast! if you like the power of porsche, get the boxster s than the 911 - boxster has the same but throssled motor. .. the new one has a limitless list of additional accesoires... i just can recommend the Power and Super Power keys, it just sounds amazing
Boxter's design is timeless. If I had to buy (could buy) one, surely it would be the Porsche.
The only full screen Top Gear episodes are the ones posted by Top Gear and they're not even full episodes.

I love the SLK, the noise when you accelerate is amazing. It just says, look at me, especially in black.

for all the people who think 6 hits is poor remember that its the vest that Jeremy is wearing that logs the hits if the hits were logged on the car it would be alot more and the car obscures some of the vest aswell

definitely... The SLK is great and I have driven a couple of them, but they are gas guzzlers compared to the Boxster... I once got an average of 25-27 mpg with the Boxster on a 30 mile trip.

I love Porsche's, I will own one one day! Im an American and I love our work horse M16s and M4s but I must say that the L85 (or SA80) is my all time favorite rifle XD

No. The SA80 "Small Arms 1980's" is the entire family of weapons, including the L85A2 rifle and the L86 LSW. The rifle itself is called the L85A2.

They use blanks, normal bullets BUT with projectile (that part of the bullet that shoots out from the barrel) replaced with something that produces sound and flash. They are used so marines can have training battles that feels like actual combat sitsuation (Without a change of getting a speeding piece of metal betweeen your ears)

@Dragon12203 the sa80 takes a paint round but only fires accurately at short distance.i know because i use them when training in room clearence with the SBS
Yup, think laser tag games, but using blanks for more "close to the real deal" simulation effects. Actually, there's one more set of sensors for the helmet as well, other than that on the vest.
And that's about standard simulation equipment in the western bloc armies, or whichever country that's rich enough to purchase it.

It's ok. A lot of programs will call it the SA80, but that's the whole family. L85A2 is the rifle itself.

Right at the beginning where the Irish Guards are loading their mags... you got the amen drum intro, dark bassline and scary high end synth over the top. I did a search on that jessica and it just produced the Top Gear theme, which I'm not bothered about.
that's why car enthusiasts are car enthusiasts, for all the impracticalities and uselessness of some cars, they sure make you feel amazing driving them
@flanke14 they use blank rounds thats why theres a bang.the laser is a targeting systerm not a round
They could have used Simunition, it's flight is close to live ammo but the "bullet" is basically a shaped paintaball.
The top cars all have something similar, they are more like track car than street car, it's much easier to build a car that simply go fast as they throw away everything else. To be quite honest, no matter how fast your car can round the ring, at the end of the day, you still need to drives it back home, and that's where it really test them as a "street car".
Can't argue with Top gear logic.

i was a little surprised how the Snipers faces werent blurred out or anything because Ithought sepecial forces teams were supposed to keep their identity a little bit secret.

+HV Milsim Blanks still eject cartridges because the only difference is there is no projectile in the round :D I think...

@Ho88e5 you should try the SIG "commando" 552.thats what alot of your seals are using.its short with folding stock and very accurate.piss's all over a M4 i know as i own both :o)
