    Love the point that it's NOT RESTRICTIVE! I try to explain this time and time again (and had to explain last night to a group of non-vegans who asked the age old question "What do you even EAT"). I have never felt limited when it comes to making my own food choices.

      Exactly!! You can make anyyyy dish vegan and that’s what I love the most 😍 plus it’s often a healthier, better for you (not to mention the animals and the planet…) alternative 💚💚

    So true lol it's to a point I actually hate telling people I'm vegan. I actually tell people I'm a conscious eater because it becomes the topic of conversation 🙃

      Conscious eater I love that!! Maybe let’s start making it a thing since “vegan” gets so much hate 😓😍 thanks for sharing!

    Good tips! ☺I consider myself to be plant based. I do not put rules on myself and primarily choose to not eat animal products. In the rare occasion that I do eat any animal products I express gratitude for it and tend to feel a bit grossed out afterwards. Just follow your heart and what your body tells you to do. 💜💜💜

    I started out alone, with the exception that I was cooking for my husband and dad. But now, 3.5 years later, my husband and daughter vegetarian and my dad is mostly veg. It’s been fun to watch those transformations. 🎉

    I cut our most diary, eggs & beef 20 years ago so going vegan wasn't a big switch did it over 2 weeks I hung on to my salmon the longest.

    Went vegan 0-100 April 10 2021. I’m the only person I know IRL that is vegan so it can feel isolating at times. However it’s the best thing I’ve ever done and wish I’d done it sooner.

      Wow 0-100 is amazing! Definitely it can feel isolating without a vegan IRL friend or two but so glad you are feeling it’s the best thing I 1000% agree! Thanks for your comment 🥰🙂

    It took me about four years to become fully vegan as well. I started giving up meat and I certainly took baby steps, but I did finally make it and I’ve never been healthier or happier.

    I could never get rid of the gas when I went vegan. So 8 months in I chose to go Mediterranean, and solved the gassiness. Still very plant forward, but eat occasional fish and occasional other animal products.

    Just remember everyone is working towards eating plant based, most people find it too difficult, scary and won't even start. So congratulations to the ones that start on the plant based diet. And remember organic, seasonally, just picked fruit and vegetables are the most healthy. And you should not worry about the protein, but more about the fibre, you tell your complainers. Be the example and do not try to convince others of your choices or try to tell other to become plant based, it has no use. If people are interested, they will become plant based eventually. If not, then not. You should not care. Focus on yourself and if someone ask you, then you better answer their questions as they are interested.

    • @KirasWholesomeLife
      @KirasWholesomeLife  Месяц назад

      Yes exactly 1000% agree with this. You can’t tell anyone to do anything, they will do things at their own process when they are ready 🙂

    lol - it's the same with carnivore. I had some of these questions when I was plant based but got some different ones when I switched to carnivore.
    Bathroom - yeah - our body really does not want those plants inside at all, with meat only I go twice a week and if I add some fasting I can almost go once every 2 weeks. Nice to rest the bowels.
    It took me 2 years to find out that plants are not for me, I got so many more health problems after 2 years of plants only, all of these gone now and have been gone for a few years:
    obesity, prediabetes, loose teeth, bleeding gums, sensitive teeth
    cold sores, blocked sinuses, mouth breathing, left eye twitches (tetany)
    heartburn, calf cramps, yellow stool, blood in stool
    edema below the knees, painful feet when walking, sunburn is less
    shoulder, back and neck pain after waking, lower back pain and stiffness
    5+ Years on the carnivore lifestyle now :)
    Eat Meat, Not Too Little, Mostly Fat

      Once every 2 weeks is so unhealthy 😫💩

      @@KirasWholesomeLife That's what you think, when there is a 5 to 6 day fast in there it's easy.

    • @irmabronder

      @@KirasWholesomeLife Eating meat makes you stupid and further away from God. Just let people experiment, eventually they will find out that animals can get diseases and plants not. The meat industry doesn't care about their health and will put any meat in the food chain. These disease will become part of your health. Look you can eat plant based healthy and unhealthy. The gut health tells us enough, but meat eaters do not understand anything and keep pricing it as a healthy diet. Yes, it is an healthy diet, but not for humans.

    • @the_blue_lotus_portal
      @the_blue_lotus_portal Месяц назад

      That is kind of gross to be honest. Your waste is just rotting in your intestines for such a long time leaching into your bloodstream. It sounds ridiculous to say we are not supposed to eat plants.

    • @Meathead-10810
      @Meathead-10810 Месяц назад

      @@the_blue_lotus_portal Meat is digested while plants rot.
      Plants ferment in your large intestine as the acid in your stomach does absolutely nothing to the plants you swallow.
      The bacteria in your large intestine only spend a little time breaking down the plants for you before your body expels those nasty things :)
      Why do you think vegans fart all day? It's the fermenting (rotting) plants dummy.
      Meat does not rot and that is why people eating only meat have low to no farts.

    There is a difference between being vegan and plant based. That's something that really needs to be cleared up. Plant based is a diet, veganism is abstaining from all forms of animal exploitation, animal use, animal entertainment, and animal products.
    It is an ethical position against the commodification of animals. You can be mostly plant based, but not mostly vegan.
    Consistent anti-oppression is the point. You can be plant based and not vegan.

    • @KirasWholesomeLife
      @KirasWholesomeLife  Месяц назад

      That is correct, vegan is the whole lifestyle that generally when people go fully plant-based also go vegan because we don’t want to exploit animals for ANY thing. But yes thank you for your comment on this matter! 👏🏼
