My husband and I started dating in March of 1985. This became our song, and the one we danced to at our wedding six months later. In less than two months, we celebrate 35 years of a very happy marriage. This song still means so much to us!
@@debisjoy8017 That's what put them on the map,but later they had more success with the ballads, and sadly that's what most people know them for,but that live album kicked ass!
I agree its awesome . It was the 1st concert I ever went to . When the tornado sirens went off in that building the crowd went wild . #UcanTuneaPianoBut UcantTuneaFish
Yeah REO Speedwagon is a rock group that I heard back in the 80s. As of 2020 they are still touring. The longest rock group that still touring the country
I remember my sister telling me she wanted this for her wedding song. Her fiance wanted an Elvis song. He won the coin toss. But...they're still married over 30 yrs. later, so it was all good!
Warning: Rabbit hole ahead. OMG, you are going to love REO. They just simply sound great. They touch the heart. "Out of Season" is a lesser-known song but one of my favorites but follow all the suggestions here. Marvelous. Marvelous.
Thank for doing this song it holds a very special place in my heart. As it was dedicated to me by someone very special. The lyrics are so beautiful. And I could see you felt it to by your reaction. You put a massive smile on my face. Love R E O speed wagon.
REO Speedwagon was a great group. Loved their music. Loved your reaction, too. It's rare to see a young man enjoy a love song. I think you feel the music, though, as much as you hear it. But that's what music SHOULD do. Great reaction.
I just saw REO SPEEDWAGON at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines IA on 9/4/22. The lead singer Kevin is now 70 years old! It was a GREAT concert! He can really play guitar. This band has been playing for decades and it shows! Please react to "Don't let him go, Tough Guys, and Riding the Storm out!!!"
Great reaction video! REO is one of my top favorite bands. I saw them 3 times, on-air, land, and sea. Actually, it was in the upper level of a theater, in a Park, and in the water at Mandalay Bay Beach. Getting up close right in front of the stage was amazing! I felt the bass bouncing off my body. The security guards pants were all vibrating, literally!
These guys were awesome in concert...they played for over 2 hours straight with no break and this was only a few years ago! They sound just as good live!!!!
Brings tears to my eyes such great emotional memories still married to my husband since July 4, 1978. Well worth the fight lots of great memories yes you really related to the song thank you for the wonderful comments 😊
Kevin Cronin rocks ... I saw REO and Kevin at Allstate Arena (then called Rosemont Horizon) on the *coldest* day ever recorded in Chicago ... Jan. 20, 1985 - the wind chill was around -85F ... The coldest low temperature the city has ever seen was -27 degrees, which happened on Jan. 20, 1985. The overnight low for Wednesday into Thursday could break that record, marking the coldest temperature ever recorded in Chicago. My ex and I took my mother's Ford E350 in-line six manual tranny van to the arena; there were eight of us total. It *never* got warm inside the Horizon, but the crowd was rocking. When the concert was over, people started going out to the parking lot...and *nobody's* car would start, except for a very few. My ex and I made sure the rest of our group stayed inside the Horizon, we ran out to the van with the key and - miracle of miracles! - it fired right up, not a bit of hesitation! My ex drove me back to where the group was waiting and said, "Hey, Joe (or whoever) - I need you to ride along with me for about 15 minutes so we can jump people". My ex and the first guy drove off with the jumper cables, stopping every 2-3 minutes to jump a car to get it running, then off to the next car or truck and repeat. My ex and the gang and I worked at this for close to three hours, and finally got enough peoples' vehicles running so that they could get help. Remember: this was *way* before cell phones! We finally got back to our house somewhere around 3AM, called my mom (and dad) to tell them what happened and that we'd bring the van back the next day...and we went to bed and slept for something like 10 hours. Mom finally got her van back around 4PM the next day. Explaining our absences at work was - ummmm - tricky, however. Fortunately, we still had jobs once it was over!
I have to thank you once again for reminding me of this wonderful band and their great songs Jayvee. My husband and I are on our 2nd marriage and this September we will have had 27 wonderful years together. This song fits how we were for a couple of years, frightened to speak about our feelings but when we did we were wed a couple of months later and my son and I moved away to a wonderful life. The song reminds me of the worry and the fears which were all for nothing lol. This is a truly wonderful band who play together so very well, I will have to find them on RUclips as I know they have some fantastic other songs I love but have forget, getting older and my meds affect my memory but you have found me some real gems that I love young man. Your reactions were brilliant to watch and listen to, the weird thing is I was able to sing along with it lol. Take care and stay safe please everyone, love and hugs to you all Mary-Ellen UK
One of the very best songs by REO Speedwagon back in the day...In my humble opinion, the 1980's was the absolute peak of musical expression that will stand the test of time, and will entertain future generations, long after we are gone...
Great strong feelings Great song thank you for the great music from my generation still loving the song makes me feel young again KEEP finding great old classic songs AMEN love the way you Express your feelings thank you 👍🙏♥️💜💚💞
Please do Journey soon- you got a lot of requests in your live yesterday- “Who’s Cryin Now.” Live from Houston! Steve Perry is wearing a yellow shirt! Phenomenal concert! GREAT song! And many more by them? “Lovin, touchin’ ,squeezin’”, “Open Arms” for great starts! ❤️💛💟☮️
Man this is my favorite band they have so many great songs you should do "keep on loving you" "Take It on the Run" "In Your Letter" "Time for me to Fly" "Don't Let him Go" "Roll with the Changes" They are all such great songs by them they have more to many but they are the best ones
I had front row center seats for this show - it was kind of a double-header with Survivor, who also had a big album out at the time (Vital Signs). You should check them out also. They have a few hits, and also They wrote a couple songs for the Rocky movies!!!
REO Speewagon was the first concert I ever went to, back in the summer of 1981 when I was in high school! :-) They also had hits with "Keep On Loving You," "Time for Me to Fly," "Roll With the Changes" and "Take It on the Run."
Gotta check out the 1977 live versions of ‘Ridin’ the Storm Out’ & ‘Keep Pushin’’ (or studio versions if you prefer), plus ‘Roll with the Changes’, ‘Time for Me to Fly’, ‘Keep on Loving You’, ‘Don’t Let Him Go’, ‘Take It On the Run’, ‘Back on the Road Again’, ‘Tough Guys’, ‘That Ain’t Love’, ‘Keep the Fire Burnin’’, ‘157 Riverside Avenue’, ‘Live Every Moment’, ‘One Lonely Night’...🤓🎸

this was their biggest hit. # 1 for 3 weeks in March 1985 from the album Wheels Are Turnin. Also check out I Do' Wanna Know from this album. The video is very funny. Also listen to Time For Me To Fly from the You Can Tune A Piano But You Can't Tuna Fish Album 1978 it's the best breakup song of all time. Also Roll With The Changes is from that album as well. My personal opinion Roll With The Changes is one of the top 5 Rock Songs of all time. But I'm very biased since this is my favorite band and their music is the sound track of my life. And of course their biggest selling album of their 50 year career Hi Infidelity from 1981. It was the biggest selling album of 1981 Enjoy the REO journey my friend.
My husband's 1st cousin was Gary Ritchrath who played lead guitar on their early albums. If you want to hear one of their best songs but not the most radio played is "My Love Is A Rock".
Memories of me and my bestie on the floor in her room taping her Hi Infidelity album and copying down the lyrics. I still have that cassette somewhere.
Love the video. Definitely coming back for more. You really can’t go wrong with REO, but if you want to hear a great song that’s under the radar, give a listen to “Follow My Heart”
I'm loving your reaction videos. Seeing a young person enjoying so many songs that are part of the sound track of my life is truly heart-warming. I'd like to recommend that you checkout Tom Jones. He has a great voice and his career has lasted for decades so he has many hits including: "I'll never fall in love again", "It's not unusual", "Help yourself", "Delilah", "She's a lady", "Kiss", "You can leave your hat on", the list goes on and on.
My husband and I started dating in March of 1985. This became our song, and the one we danced to at our wedding six months later. In less than two months, we celebrate 35 years of a very happy marriage. This song still means so much to us!
The only natural follow-up to this Jay is to listen to their song Keep on Loving You
Best song to get dumped to at an 80's prom.
Or maybe "here with me"
I was obsessed with this band as a teenager in the 80's. Keep On Loving You and Take It On the Run are more great songs.
In my 40s & still obsessed😍😬😂
so was i,even converted my next door neighbor who was a huge kiss fan to follow REO.
"Take it on the Run " is another great song by REO Speedwagon.
That was on the radio when I got in the car to go to work this morning and again when I was heading home 9.5 hours later.
cobra kai season 1.
ROLL WITH THE CHANGES A must. Guitar and organ solo battle.
Great song! Great solos!
Or golden country. This dude picked the worst REO song possible
The entire album You Can Tune A Piano but you can’t tuna fish!!
“Keep on loving you” is a must! We used to couples skate to it at the roller rink back in the day- 😉. ❤️💛💟☮️
👍💯💯💯💯👍
If you wanna hear these guys ROCK do "Riding The Storm Out " from the live album. You won't be disappointed
Gary Lindsey oh man I love this song!
@@debisjoy8017 That's what put them on the map,but later they had more success with the ballads, and sadly that's what most people know them for,but that live album kicked ass!

The live version is much better than the studio one.
Great song man. Check out their song "Time for me to Fly"
This song!! Yes yes
I've always loved that song!
My favorite REO song. Especially some of the live versions. Golden Country too!
I was literally about to suggest this. Thank you
My favorite
This probably was one of my favorite songs for many years not to mention REO as a group ... they were really really popular in the mid to late 70’s
I think from 1977-1988 is their Successful era. 1971-1976 REO Rocks.
Roll With the Changes, Keep on Loving You, Time for Me to Fly, Don't Let Him Go. All excellent REO songs!
Yeah REO Speedwagon is a rock group that I heard back in the 80s. As of 2020 they are still touring. The longest rock group that still touring the country
STYX is still touring and rocking, too!
"Roll With The Changes" is probably REO's finest song. Outstanding keyboard and guitar solos.
Memories of 1985. Great song.
I remember my sister telling me she wanted this for her wedding song. Her fiance wanted an Elvis song. He won the coin toss. But...they're still married over 30 yrs. later, so it was all good!

Should be in the Hall of Fame
1984. First concert I ever went to, 3rd row center. Cheap Trick (another band to check out) was the opening act. Great concert!
When I saw them, Survivor was the opening act.
Cheap Trick fkn rock🤘🤘🇭🇲
Awesome!!! So glad to see you react.Check"Roll With The Changes"
"Don't let him go " The intro is phenomenal.
Dude ... one of the best groups to not make the hall of fame. Its ridiculous
Should have been in 10-15 years ago
Completely Agree.
indeed ,but making the hall has lost its luster
REO Speedwagon/Take It On The Run
Next one of Reo Speedwagon - Take it on the run .. very good one 👌😎👍🎸🎶
My first concert was to see REO Speedwagon. They are great!
Huge hit! Singing right along!😂❤

I absolutley wore out my album "You can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish".
I also really loved "157 riverside ave".
You get what you play for, is also a great album.
I forgot they came up with that line, I loved that
One of the best album names ever is High Infidelity
My favorite band since mid 70's. Time For Me To Fly is my request to my friends and family to play at my funeral.
How about a blast from the past when brass was a big thing. Check out Chicago doing Color My World.

REO Speedwagon - I Do' Wanna Know.
One of the best songs ever written. Might be my all time favorite secular song. another 80s classic
"You're a candle in the window on a cold, dark winter's night" is such a great line.
I'm not bored listening this love song..studio recording great..
Need to hear ,keep on loving you
The lyrics... still give me the goosebumps.
Phenomenal Song💗💛💙💜💚❤

Roll with the Changes is awesome and also "All Heaven Broke Loose" and "Half way" from their later 1990 album "The Earth, a small man and his Dog"
The Earth...such an under rated album...it’s one of my favorite albums
Time for me to fly is another great one

Hey man one of their best rocking songs is Back On The Road Again! Gary Richrath's guitar solo on this song is really good and the song kicks ass!!

Our farm bordered the municipal fairgrounds so we often stored several vehicles in our machine shed. The BBQ chicken is so goo... The REO Speed Wagon was special even back then. And the corn in September is sweet and drool... It had a big sign drawing attention to its new hydraulic expanding brakes from back when brakes were just an option, buy brakes or carry a big stick? Sounds about right?
In 1981 hearing Keep On Loving You in Kamloops at the soon to open Woodward's, pre-extinction, parking lot. Time to play a little Foosball and listen to the whole album.
Another album at the same time was Toronto, Lookin' For Trouble.
