- I finally arrived back in #Singapore, after 17 hour long haul flight from San Francisco (with Singapore Airlines)! But traveling internationally through COVID-19 period, it's very tough. I needed to prepare extra documents to show to Singapore immigration, schedule my COVID-19 test, logistics at Changi airport, 14-day SHN quarantine in the Singapore government designated hotel.
Thanks to Singapore Airlines, it made my experience better. Singapore Airlines 新加坡航空 (SIA) is the flag carrier airline of Singapore with its hub at Singapore Changi Airport. It has been ranked as the world's best airline by Skytrax four times and topped Travel & Leisure's best airline rankings for more than 20 years.

@@TheKrazyKoala life with SQ was wonderful, lots of fun, i just love visiting different countries and I did not pick up drinking and smoking 😆, I just love plain photography, took lots of photos, those are great times. SQ has a very high standards during my times, not sure now but I believed they will maintain the standard. I always feel so safe flying with SQ. Now, I am contented housewife. 😊 my kids are all grownups and I just stay home and relax. Btw, Love your videos! Keep it coming, ya! I flew SA in October a year ago. It was a fantastic flight, and I had a 13 hour layover in Singapore. Even the airport was amazing. I could only dream of getting business class tho x x lucky you x x
I always have this warm fuzzy feeling when I hear "... all Singaporeans and residents a warm welcome home". Don't think that this was practice in other airlines. Thumbs up Singapore Airlines so proud of you.

Agreed with you, Singapore Airlines the best . I always take SQ. The standard is high and the booking online process very user friendly , simple and fast for booking . Only 17 hours? I would LIVE on that plane! What opulent luxury! It looks reminiscent of the golden age of 1960s flights with TWA and Pan Am, when every flight was a formal event.

Yes, SQ is my favorite too (though I had not fly as much as you, lol) It is ready sad to see such a great airline is in such a state due to COVID, but the great thing is that they did not drop the standard of service. Keep it up SQ!

I feel the same way about flying SQ. There’s no better way to fly. At the end of a trip, it’s always great to get on board an SQ flight home to Singapore. Gives you such a warm feeling inside, not to mention the inflight service and amenities.

I Love Singapore Airlines!! My many flights from SFO to South Korea and few flights to Singapore were with SQ. They always made me feel so welcome. So much good food. I always tell people you have not lived until you fly with SQ.

Its good I left this video for latest cos I recently got to fly business class from SIN to LHR. It came as a surprise at it was a last minute upgrade at the boarding gates. I did not use the entertainment service but they gave me free wifi for the entire trip.
The starter, appetizer, desert, mains and drink were great. I has some red wine for the meals then tired two of their Japanese Whisky Suntory and Hibiki for taste. After the 1st glass I was so red I kindly returned the other glass. Its was filled with half a cup of ice and 1 centimeter of spirit.
The amenities was great! Then there was this craze about Pentagolins the UK fragrance brand. Later i found out that Quercus was specially made for SQ business class. This particular scent is not sold in the store. And in the process i found out what are the popular scent by the brand.
The sleeping chair position was the best. I could not imagine a full incline flat over. and the blanket was was so nice the quilt and fabrics. All the mini pockets in the plane for charging and storage or small items was very well thought of. As my seat was right front i could even store my cabin luggage.
I'm looking forward for the next A380 business class!

I remember SQ flight food was even more hawker-ish (due to the caterer used) when I flew OUT-OF singapore, which of course was a really fantastic treat for me 🤤

I remember an incident with United on my flight to Seattle. There were 2 asian women in front of me who were not English speaking. When they kept asking for chicken for their meal, the flight attendant replied "I already said no chicken, didn't I! So what do you want??!!" Wow, I was shocked. How rude!

Wow I’m so impressed with Singapore airlines. I can’t wait till I have the opportunity to fly with them . I very seldom fly 1st class but it not as good as your flight and you didn’t fly 1st class . I would never have guessed they would be so accommodating. Great report from you on what appears to be a wonderful airlines. Hopefully Your quarantine is going ok . I read last year in the news that they were hiring and training pilots from India!! I had a very bad experience with an Indian dentist in gvt clinic a while ago. I m absolutely fine with local Indian docs , though.I just wont take chances with life , just like taking the vaccine.

My last flight with them was in Dec 2019 to Shanghai. Look how the time flies, it has been about 1 year + since the covid-19 pandemic started. Really hope this can end anytime soon so I can get onboard with SQ again!😍 Thank you for sharing your experience with SQ Biz. Honestly, I’m really surprised the fact that there were only 5 passengers and SQ still went on flying without cancelling the flight, that really create a lot of confidence to the consumer considering an airline must be very financially strong to do that. Great video. SIA is the best and our pride and joy. The service, the food, the product. Did you do the Book The Cook? How I missed the Business Class flights!!! I remember driving past the airport once and seeing the whole row of SIA planes parked on the tarmac due to Covid. Really broke my heart. Hope SIA can weather the storm and fly high once again. The Singapore-San Francisco flight is not a traditional flight. It has only business class and premium economy class. The quality is superb!

I just experienced Singapore Airlines business class earlier this month and there were only 3 passengers in our section, me included. I enjoyed it but the there hour flight was too short to fully enjoy the experience. The way they take care of you is superb.
I took an SFO-SIN flight in 2018 but not SQ. It would've great to experience SQ's business class for a 17 hour flight than a full cramped flight on premium economy. I couldn't complain though since it was an all expenses paid trip for me. If i had the choice though, I'd go with Singapore Airlines. 👍

Well I am Australian , and I live in Budapest, so I fly Zurich Singapore Sydney. My favorite airport i Europe is Zurich !!! And of course my other fav. Is Singapore and the city of course. Business class with Full flatbed seat is more comfortable. Some business class seat is Angle flat seat, less comfortable and the ticket is cheaper

Glad you are able to ENJOY your flight rather than just experience your flight. I had the same experience as you before, when completed your work, quickly get some shut-eye so you can appear fresh when landed.
I know! 17 hour is such a torture but I’m glad they make it such a joy!!
@@TheKrazyKoala A total of 5 passengers on that flight. Cost of fuel alone is about $55K (90 tonnes) + labor + aircraft depreciation+ landing fees etc. SIA is losing its shirt! BTW, you could have your own flight attendant serving you for that flight ; )

@@SporeMich there should be at least 8-10 tonne of cargoes in the hold. So they should be able to break even as the cargo rate is high.

I did fly SIA business class one time from SFO to singapore not long after they started the direct flight.
SIA is way up there in quality for sure but I still like ANA & JAL more despite their older fleet of planes ✈️
Have tried ANA / JAL / SIA business & 1st class flight, before COVID.
SIA don't really treat SG citizen that well compared to foreigners, unless you made big inflight purchases.
ANA still the best in terms of hospitality and English speaking.
JAL is depends on your luck, sometime the flight attendant English a bit challenging and I have to switch to speak in Japanese.

Other than their premium price points..SQ is a reliable airline with on time performance n usually good service! I wouldnt usually fly non-stop 15-17hrs prefer a stopover to stretch out. Glad u enjoyed SQ!!
