- Today is a first for us! We are flying to Singapore to see this beautiful country for the first time in business class with Singapore Airlines! After some serious research, we found a reward flight with Singapore Airlines from Manila, The Philippines, to Singapore - something that would usually set us back a few thousand dollars… HOWEVER, we grabbed SUCH A DEAL for only $10!
After a bit of shuffling around of KrisFlyer points, AmEx, and other credit cards (one that's not mentioned much on the internet) - our first time doing some serious credit card hacking/churning was very successful. Having passed through Singapore Changi airport numerous times previously, we have only ever seen a glimpse of Singapore - it was about time we visited. What a way to arrive… champagne glass in hand, in business class! A dream come true!

As an airline crew... Hope you have the chance to experience the full service on board Singapore Airlines... This service you got is a truncated one due to the short flight time from MNL to SIN, hence it was served on a tray. For longer international flights, you can experience the full table layout, full meals plated on china wear and trolley service..
Oh wow we really hope we can in the future!! Already this “short” flight was amazing and we were on such a high for days afterwards! Amazing experience!

Yep, that's Singapore Airlines Business Class for you. Easy check in, pleasant lounge, comfortable seat, decent food and GREAT service. Little side benefits too like much better on-time performance and reliability.
However, I warn you now about future flights. Just think about now getting into the back of the plane for a long-haul, low-cost flight with 'Cheap as Chips' airlines where your knees are up around your ears and you only get water if you bribe the attendant. Suddenly, actually paying for a good airline and seat doesn't look like luxury. It looks more like how rational human beings travel.
@@markjones2781 How rational is it to spend 1000s of dollars more for an 8-10 hour flight which can be more than you spend for an entire week of vacation for food and hotels?
@@robcanad Like I say, try an 8 or 10 hour flight in the front of the plane and then see how keen you are to get back into cattle class. Now, maybe my perspective is coloured by where I'm coming from. I an older gentleman, just shy of 2 metres tall, and not broke. But stlll, a bit of basic comfort and dignity is surely a universal pleasure we should all aspire to.
You both have a presence where you make your viewers feel like they are on the trip with you. I love that! Looking forward to the Singapore series!

Best business class ever, I flew from L.A to Singapore, long flight but the business class seats, and service, was incredible. An amazing experience for sure.

Just to add, Singapore Airlines has a 'Spontaneous Getaway' promotion usually around middle of the month to selected locations. For Feb the promo was 16,000 miles from Manila to Singapore.

Love your videos and the genuine upbeat vibes of your travel experiences!! We were in Singapore a few years ago and we loved every minute of it. You have to try as many of the hawker centre delicacies as possible. They are delicious and very reasonably priced. Have a great time there!

Forgot to mention that the hawker centers are quite busy at certain times and local etiquette for reserving a table is to leave a small personal item ( such as a packet of tissue or an umbrella) on the table while you order your food from any of the stalls. This can save you a lot of time hunting for a table with a tray full of food later. But of course you may already know this being such seasoned travellers!😁

Everyone should get the chance to fly business class on longer fights. It's just so nice being able to eat your dinner, enjoy a few drinks and then lie flat down and sleep during the entire flight. Wish i could afford business class every time i flew from Denmark to Thailand 🤣

4 hours I would think about it. But flying out of Australia where your looking at 7 hours to Singapore or in my case 9 hours to the Philippines. It really was worth it. Arrived so relaxed and feeling refreshed.
Flying back out the next day and on my return I was so happy to have the lounge access as Manila international area has just about nothing to eat.

Damn RUclips, I should have finished my comment before sending the money as the page refreshed and I lost the comment. Here goes again. I have been watching lots of videos of people traveling by van/campers (I watch King... IT and love them 😁) and the video on Dylan picking up the camper popped up. I loved the video and Adriana's reaction on seeing the van. Since then I've watched lots of your videos and I must say they are beautifully done, you two are amazing and I love seeing Adriana's reactions to new things and food. I love it because you guys are real, are down to earth and please don't start going overboard with reactions like a certain K&N channel (pretty sure you know who I'm talking about) Keep up the amazing videos coming, I can't wait to see you guys travelling with the van now that you have bought all the Ikea items 🤣 I'm retiring next year and plan on buying a camper in Europe and travel there for a few years, will start with UK first because I so badly want to visit Scotland, Wales and the Island of Skye

I flew on the A350-900 with the same medium haul cabin type as your Dreamliner from Adelaide to Singapore last month. Flight time was 6.5hrs. It's not the more spacious business class product on SIA but perfectly fine for a medium haul flight like this. Cost was 47,950 KrisFlyer miles + AU$90 with 30% off miles required. Your excitement onboard is delightful!

I love Singapore airlines. Have flown Business Class a few times (business trip so I didn't pay). On longer flights they bring a trolley with chicken and beef satay sticks. So delicious! Food is always good on SIN

I'm from Singapore but I don't think I'm being biased to say that Singapore Airlines has hands down the world's best business class. I've flown many different airlines including their business class for work, and none can compare to their level of service.

Did U ever fly with Qatar Airways or Emirates? They are much better.
@@airborneltc Hi indeed I have although not as frequently as SQ. Emirates in particular I find rather over-rated. Yes their 'hardware' is indeed better - more luxury amenities, newer planes, chauffeur pickup etc, but I kinda feel it lacks in the 'software' department. It doesn't feel premium enough because the are so many business-class seats on the plane (and omg the 2-3-2 configuration), I don't feel I got the same kind of service and attention as I do when I fly Singapore Airlines.

We have a decent amount of amex points but because we're travelling so fast we're always in a rush to book flights, and when I see a low fare I rush to book it due to fear of prices going up! Random Q but we've never transferred our points to an airline partner before - do you find the processing times stated by AMEX to be accurate (usually says like X working days) or do the points normally just map across straight away?
They usually take 24 hours. Some have taken less!

Best value for a short sector is Manila to Singapore using Krisflyer miles as flight time is longer. Did the same flight last week, chose the chicken main, was going to pick the beef.

We used 24000 points from our Currensea (they're automatically moved to our Krisflyer account) then moved 24000 from amex!

Stop the press there finally going to Singapore. I instantly wondered if they took advantage of the 2 $$55.00 hotels in Chinatown [[ bet not ]] There very excited. Adrianna was so excited for Free Champagne. Lounge looked awesome and so much yummy food. Beef looked delicious. So much room from the pods. Cheers on the glasses on champagne. I too use the Amex Platinum card, primarily for the travel insurance. How do you manage with their 90 day rule that your trips can only be for a maximum of 90 days then you need to return to the UK. Can you share who you use for travel insurance if different from Amex? Many thanks

Just curious what where the question that the Immigration Officer(IO) asked you guys?
For us locals depending on the IO we undergo strict questioning(even with plane ticket back and forth and hotel accommodation) and need sometimes to show proof that we are capable and even if capable still get offloaded.

Great video. No way I am getting Amex, charges are too high and its not a popular card in Oz. Charges at the POS terminal are way above Visa or Master Card..
Hey Brock! Do you get charged the POS fee in oz? In most countries the shop/restaurant etc pays that. If you travel a lot it's worth more than the card cost!
Yes we do, the rate to merchants is too high, so its passed on , about 2.2%.
Thats for AMEX and Diners Club.. (Almost no-one takes Diners Club)
I will check at the next POS and update. There is usually a sign telling you before you pay, so you have the option to use another card..

I went London to Tokyo on business Japan Airlines in November, cost my company 8k return! it was a flat bed seat. you can order anything from the menu any time you like and as often as you like but I didn't take the piss
