Schweikert like all his phony pals on Capital Hill have not only been ignoring the predatory lending practices of the international bankers that own the FED, but they've been purposely helping to waste our tax dollars for the purpose of creating that National Debt.
Why is it important to mention the National Debt ? Because the N.D. like any other bank loan has collateral backing it. The collateral for the N.D. is ALL public and private property, as well as the labor of the American people.
So in FACT the FED and the international bankers that own the FED, set themselves up to own the lives of the American people. This BTW is why they're trying to curtail the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. They realize that America will become a land of another civil war if they try to jack up taxes, to cover the debt.

We know what would happen. Ron Paul was saying all of this over 10 years ago, we saw what they did to him. We see what they're doing to Trump now.
The Washington 'right and left' would both invent rotating smear campaigns against him, everyone in his family would find their jobs targeted and the justice department would be working overtime to manufacture a legal allegation just plausible enough to act as an 'insurance policy' in case he won. If he did win, the 'activist' cartels would return to the violent riots and violent 'free-zones' while the permanent deep-state bureaucrats would begin using their departments to sabotage any policy he brought in, with media cheering on 'the resistance'.

Raise in investment in healthcare means investors think they'll be making MORE money there not less. The US debt bubble is going to burst at some point, and when it does the human and social cost is going to be catastrophic, not just for the USA but for the whole world. It never ceases to amaze me how economically illiterate so many people are, that they think we can keep just borrowing and borrowing and borrowing, and there be no consequences. I applaud Mr Schweikert for presenting facts, not opinion.

The problem is that the US has been subsumed by the colonial project we've been installing around the world for over a century, and as a part of that process we have accepted neoliberal rhetoric that justified the outsourcing of government functions to corporations who profit from the cannibalization of populations through the theft of their resources and opportunities to function naturally in truly free markets.
By painting people making this observation as communists and then citing the atrocities of communist regimes which had been in fact propped up by capitalists behind the curtain so that industrialists could profit from single-payer markets, the economic masters ensured a project that has successfully brainwashed voters in democracies to fight against their own interests for the removal of legislation and politicians who served as a firewall against runaway economic predation.
This is most obvious today in the function of the WEF and nefarious groups installing fake libertarian leaders ("fake" because they get elected by selling the rhetoric and then immediately borrow more money so as to put shackles around the necks of the population, but "real" because this is what all neoliberal leaders do).
Unfortunately, as obvious as all of this is, most working class voters still think it's propaganda when you point out what the real propaganda is... mostly because it's been too horrific and successful to be believed.

It cleared up alot of my misunderstanding of the government's spending and our national debt. I am so glad that there is a path to helping our economy level out and hopefully avoid double tax rates 23 years from now. My children as well would really appreciate that not becoming a reality! I have been striving to be more fiscally responsible myself as a new business owner and I am trying to pay off the debts I incurred to start my business. I work 14-16 hour days trying to stay ahead of my debt payments and to pay my necessary bills. I truly appreciate the understanding of why we are facing some of the challenges we are financially and how it is tied dramatically to our overall personal health. I have been striving to be healthier by eating more fruits and vegetables and to exercise regularly. Also, my faith has laws of health that have really helped my life. There is more nuance than how I present it *but* in general there is only a handful of issues Americans need to focus on:
      1. End Lobbying
      2. Ending the 2 party system
      3. End Congresses abilities to participate in the stock market

Since health is such a huge problem, one simple way others have not suggested already, is to do some really simple things:
      1) avoid junk food, sugar, etc and instead practice good nutrition - making meals instead of getting fast food for example is huge
      2) Exercise and do it continuously everyday for the rest of your life. Don't just go to the gym for 4 months to get in shape and then drop it, keep going forever.
      3) Encourage everyone you know to do this, and support them in making the difficult journey away from obesity to health.
If American culture about health changes, we will reduce that huge gap and the problem might even change itself. While I wish Congress would cooperate in order to help us change, we have to start with ourselves, our families, and our friends first - and not depend on them to fix it for us.

@@futuza i think there are more grand reaching changes we can make than trying to shift the entire countries eating habits when there are such varying degrees of differences in diets, budgets, available markets, etc. etc.
But I believe that making our representatives disband/regulate the Corporate Lobbyists and Think Tank groups because they are the main culprit for setting terrible trends in the food industry.
By doing so these corporations that have been influencing Congress to allow questionable food options, where many regions and countries have out right banned them, will actually allow americans to open business and make competition that will allow for healthier and just outright better options.
As well as allowing Congress, and the greater population, to better regulate the food industry without these businesses spoon feeding misleading information that goes directly against public interest.
      #EndLobbying #End2PartySystem #EndCongessStocks
Supporting these three things are what will directly impact your ambition of a more health conscious America by systematically taking as much capital influence out of the equation as possible.

Dear Sir, I'm speaking as a very blessed yet underprivileged adult American male. 53 years old and I live with my mom. No insurance. No retirement. With an increasingly bleaker-looking future. No bots here.
I have watched 3 or 4 of your broadcasts and I am in agreement with you on the math(I'll take your word for it. Lol) and I appreciate the vigor in that you exude over the issues facing our country. Truly! Thank you.
The reason people comment about cutting your salaries isn't because we think it will make a huge impact on our deficit. The one our elected officials have brought to bear upon ALL of us. It is because every American knows that when you are broke you don't spend. Even if they don't always practice it. If they do spend they know that the credit they are using, if they are fortunate enough to have any, will only deepen the problem. And when we are in those tough times, like we are now, EVERY PENNY COUNTS.
But the takeaway is why should you receive any salary at all? When it is the people in office who can't budget and yet work less and still make more than those who elected them. This is your negligence(collective past and present administration, ect.) that has wrought this upon our society. We have trusted people who didn't deserve that trust. I would give examples but I suspect you understand the concept of diminishing return. We have fully invested in you and your colleagues. We are getting much less than we are paying for. One would think that salary cuts would, at the very least, be appropriate considering that we need to tighten the belt.
I make these comments with all due respect. I for one appreciate your hard work but would expect a little more bang for our buck. But I know its is going to take a collective effort to gain ground on this. So I pray that you'll have success in bringing our two retarded halves in office together to make a somewhat functional whole. Good luck and God bless

I think his point is more that it's an emotional solution rather than a grand solution. The pennies matter, but if you stay in a perpetual debt cycle, where you borrow everything you spend, then penny pinching won't give you enough traction.
It's penny wise and pound foolish. Why don't you have some retirement going? If your disabled, I understand, but if you're a healthy, working adult, why haven't you put away anything for retirement?
He acknowledged congressional salaries are probably excessive. But what he's pointing out is that government funding everything through debt is pushing inflation what little you have doesn't go as far.
You have to get government out of a perpetual debt cycle for cut backs to make an impact.
Trimming back congressional salaries is fine, but cutting them entirely would mean only the independently wealthy could afford to be congressmen.

    • @lVideoWatcherl
      @lVideoWatcherl Месяц назад +1

@AmoebaInk Since retirement in the US is pituful, and the financial Situation of the US middle class worse than it comparatively was 20 to 40 years back, it's not crazy to hear that he has nothing put aside for retirement. If every penny is needed now, there isn't one for the Future.
Additionally, you didn't understand the argument being made. The point of the original comment was that these people have unlearned frugality and monetary efficiency - because they live in luxury. Basically, they have lost appreciation for what the money actually means, namely lifetime of the citizens they are meant to represent. With this Background, the original comment points out that reducing the salary of professional politicians could lead to a change in financial opinions amongst the congresspeople. Additionally, the point about politician's incompetence is also relevant - most employees have a role to fulfill, and not doing your job in a satisfactory or even _any_ meaningful way is grounds for termination for any other person. Only these elected official are.exempt, and thereby have no external incentive to do better.
Tying their payment to specific policy goal could be one solution.

Government attempts to pay ONLY THE INTEREST on that money (because our tax revenue doesn't even cover the INTEREST ALONE), with TAXPAYER DOLLARS, received from hardworking Americans.
Therefore, Hardworking Americans are giving back to the Federal Reserve hundreds of billions of REAL DOLLARS, which are backed by our LABOR, while they just bring money into creation willy-nilly?

If Schweikert's target audience is staffers and the public, he should break this down into numbers the average household would understand. Instead of trillions, use a $60k/yr family budget (or whatever). His point is that the USA is living lavishly off credit cards pretending like we won't have to file for bankruptcy when the bill comes due.

    • @rickevans7941

We hold the debt. Bankrupt to ourselves. It's fiat. None of it matters. Wall Street is gambling in paper trillions just in derivatives and speculation alone, off-market side gambling. That is ALWAYS what crashes the economy and WE BAIL IT OUT; main st. paying wall st's tab. Just like in 2008! It is NEVER spending on actual goods and services or government overhead...it's rich, evil, parasitic banker class pukes. But sure, cut cut cut cut so they can party party party party! It's end stage anyway, fk it. Collapse imminent.

I love Schweikert's attention to the debt and trying to wake people up. When he got to the medical part and the sickness costs within the USA he failed to take a stabe at the primary reason we are hostage to the Medical Industry because of growing health issues over the last 60+ years. We eat primarily crap foods (animal & plant) and way to many highly processed foods. We've killed most of our soils with mono crops needing synthetic ferderlizers, herbicides and insecticides which in turn kill the natural biospere of organisms in the soil if the earth was properly farmed. Unless we change many things within our great USA, we're doomed in many ways..........
