that's nice, LS460 here, the V8 is what sold me. I haven't driven a V8 in 40 years, forgot what they're like. Quiet, powerful, smooth AF my only problem is people ahead of me only drive 5 miles under the speed limit and won't move over.
Hey Sam just subscribed to your channel. I want to know in your opinion would you consider the LC 500 better built than other high end cars? Say compared to the German makes or even the so called super cars like Ferrari and Lambos?
Suprised to see a substantial amount of engine mass ahead of the front axle. Nice that an engine like this can run in Atkinson Cycle. Decent fuel mileage for something so big and heavy. Wonder if the port injection runs often enough to keep the intake valves clean...? Tend to think so. They put a lot of work into, certainly. But, no transaxle. No attempt to be a front/mid engine car.
There's a couple videos of people looking at the intake of toyota's with the D4-S system like this has and they are all super clean, even after 200k miles
If Lexus could actually clean up the engine bay and actually show the engine, I’d buy one yesterday. Why can’t Lexus get this right when Americans and most European car manufacturers have beautiful engine bays?
Engine is a work of Art! Reliability is awesome!
Got my 2018 LC 500 in nightfall mica w/ 16 K Miles about three months ago, it’s an absolute dream car and I’m proud of myself for buying it.

@@robertmaybeth3434 I want a 2021 + LS500 badly
I like the way you romanced the description of what is under the hood.
LEXUS 👌🏻 LC 😍
Where is the power steering fluid reservoir?
None. Electric power steering.
Do you know under what driving conditions (speed and load) that the engine switches between Otto and Atkinson cycles? Thanks.
It varies depending on load, throttle position, speed, gear, temperature, air density etc. It's variable.
Very informative, quality video.
Hey Sam, do you know if an aftermarket exhaust system affects that exhaust note? I wouldn't want to ruin a good thing
It most certainly does affect the exhaust note....that is the whole point of an aftermarket exhaust system ;)
@@TDTVGarage I wonder if its the intake noise he's referring to
This was very cool, thx man!

Our feeling is that the build quality, fit and finish is equal.
I've owned high end German cars and my LC500 is a touring ride and fun to drive. Most exciting point is my wallet is jumping with joy. RELIABILITY
@@TDTVGarage lie’s absolutely not equal the lc500 takes the win by a far unless your talking Bentleys or rolls Royce
