Nu Metal is just the sound of the late 90's, early 2000's. Sounded very "Nu" metal.

I was 16 when i bought the chocolate starfish album. It's still in my liked on Spotify and on my DAP. I never got the hate for Durst and Wes Borland was epic, 3 Dollar bills, significant other and chocolate starfish have some great track. I even liked their cover of behind blue eyes, and i liked eat you alive.
Frankly there was a brief bit of bad blood between the two, but the fact of the matter is: Corey is just a humble down to earth person, regardless of how bitter the feud may have seemed, Both sides just bonded together with the rest of the Nu Metal crowd and just set their differences aside, Slipknot distanced from the Nu Metal label and limp Bizkit’s popularity sadly declined.

I like both. absolutely love Slipknot but the reality behind it all is they literally do it just for the rep or the "clout" as some of you may call it. There's no hate in the metal world they do it so instead of "Hey yeah this band is cool but there's really nothing about them other then they make great music". There's more to the "feuds" then just the feud itself. its all about the fame. 50% of people like this band and 50% of people like the other. That's cool cause half of that 50% for one band likes both and that's why they do what they do. They don't actually hate each other in the end it comes down to instead of being boring rock stars who make great music, they're great rock stars who "talk shit" to each other and make great music. I don't know it I explained that correctly but I think I kind of got my point across.
Well not a better frontman but personally Corey and Fred are two great guys. I guess sometimes people overanalyze. Coreys work and dedication to Stone Sour was a turning point for me. It was refreshing and cool at the same time. Durst has an incredible and satire singing style . I'm a fan of both.

one thing we can agree on is smaller venues, i honestly prefer them too and yes the vibe is better, but considering that were from opposite ends of the world our views on who likes who more is going to be different, maybe more people in australia like LB more than slipknot, out by where i live its really not the case, most people i've encountered got bored of LB over 10 years ago

I actually had the chance to hangout with Fred Durst for a little bit last January and he was the nicest dude! Of course, he has settled down since the 90’s but that guy is nothing but good vibes! Him, some of his buddies, and I played CoD and we just talked. He asked about where I was from, how I was doing, complimented us when we did well, and cracked jokes. He may have been a tool or a dick 30 years ago but he’s just so fucking cool now.

Lyrically good LB songs are mostly less popular,slower ones like Build a bridge,Walking Away,Rearranged,Down Another Day,Lonely world etc
About the feud,it started with a false rumor with no source,LB never said anything about Slipknot but for some reason Slipknot fans(and even band members) believed it.Corey and Fred are cool now

and btw LB just played house of blues in chicago a week or so ago near where i live, which is not that big of a venue in size, and they couldn't even sell out that show, one of my friends was there and said so himself, theyre also playing at pop's in sauget IL. this week which is even smaller, lets see how that goes, & some of these festivals you mention take place in other countries, im sure their fan base in other countries is different than out here in america

I'm just gonna throw this out there for everyone who says "Fred is a cunt and Corey's a cool dude" or "Corey's a douche and Fred Durst is a cool dude". I like both. absolutely love Slipknot but the reality behind it all is they literally do it just for the rep or the "clout" as some of you may call it. There's no hate in the metal world they do it so instead of "Hey yeah this band is cool but there's really nothing about them other then they make great music". There's more to the "feuds" then just the feud itself. its all about the fame. 50% of people like this band and 50% of people like the other. That's cool cause half of that 50% for one band likes both and that's why they do what they do. They don't actually hate each other in the end it comes down to instead of being boring rock stars who make great music, they're great rock stars who "talk shit" to each other and make great music. I don't know it I explained that correctly but I think I kind of got my point across.

Well not a better frontman but personally Corey and Fred are two great guys. I guess sometimes people overanalyze. Coreys work and dedication to Stone Sour was a turning point for me. It was refreshing and cool at the same time. Durst has an incredible and satire singing style . I'm a fan of both.
all i can say is that lb opened up for metallica one time and they were getting booed but at the end of the show they were getting an encore
