People don't live there. It's a recreated 1830's New England village. You could call it a living museum. You can chat with costumed historians as they recreate tasks of that time period. There have been historical movies, tv shows and documentaries filmed on site.
I remember this from a school trip when I was younger, it's a great place! Still very fascinating. I'd love to go there again:)

I went here for a school trip once. We made biscuits here and they were great. There was even this cool blacksmith dude with a shop.
