This vlog is about a fort which is famous for its great history with beautiful city and mountains to explore.
Ajinkyatara (literally "The Impregnable Star") is a fort on one of the seven mountains surrounding the city of Satara in the Sahayadri.
1190 - Fort was built by Shilahar Bhoj Raja 2
1580 - Adilsha 1 wife Chandbibi was kept as a prisoner by Kisvar Khan for 3 years & Bajaji Nimbalkar was also kept here as prisoner
1673 - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj defeated Bijapur king Adilshah & bring this fort under swarajya.
1699 - Aurangzeb Surrounded this fort & started attacking
1700 - All the rasan & ammuniation was over
Later Maharani Tarabai Rajaram Bhonsale attacked on Aurangzeb army and win this fort back to swarajya.
There are many more things happened but same can't be cover in such short vlog but I tried my best to present the most in this vlog.
How to reach :
Vehicles are allowed to park near Maha darwaja after 8.00 am only, so you can take your vehicle.
Trekking/Hikking, there multiple trail for treeker & hikkers easy to reach to top from base.
