Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament in 100+ Degree Heat! 🌞🔥💀 At Least I Caught a Limit!

I fished the NVKBA (Northern Virginia Kayak Bass Anglers) Trail Stop #4. This is the "Battle of Five Lakes I" where you get to choose from 5 different local lakes to fish: Occoquan Reservoir, Germantown Lake, Sleeter Lake, Lake Frederick, Burke Lake"
I chose to fish the Occoquan Reservoir AKA "The Rez" for this tournament. I caught mostly small fish up shallow and that was the only bite I could consistently find. I have a feeling the bigger ones were out deeper or suspended but I wasn't able to put together much of a pattern there. I am still happy with catching a 5 fish limit and staying in the running for Angler of the Year.
It was super hot on tournament day, getting up to over 100 degrees. I made sure to stay hydrated but even with that, felt exhausted by the end of the day.
