Yes! Thanks confirming that I can still be frugal and buy the yummy fruit and veggies. I’ll never understand why the organic ones are SO much more expensive!
Great video. Here are my tips and I live in the UK. I have a cheap smartphone and intend keeping it until it breaks. I intend to keep my car until it's completely busted and I'll only change it then. I budget for each month, as this helps me to control my money.
I shop online, searching for the best price with free shipping. No going to malls/stores, finding parking, etc. the packages come to my home, get checked off the list, wrapped and put away. So easy ! Yes, I am ruthless when searching for something lol. Thankfully, 2020 didn't affect us, because we are prepared. I just had to buy a new laptop, and a new phone during the last 2 weeks. Both were each about $200. Costco had a wonderful sale on the laptop with an extended warranty, and my son found me a wonderful new phone on Ebay, and I "splurged" on a pink case. My desire for shopping in general has waned over the last year. I'm really only interested in intentional shopping. I do enjoy my Starbuck's every day lol. But because of this I do get a lot of free ones. When I plan on a big trip (like when I've gone to Europe) I buy my plane ticket 9 to 12 months in advance. This way I travel in Business class, and its half the price. We stay at nice hotels that offer breakfast with the room cost, stop for a coffee in the afternoon then have dinner at the end of the day. I have been wanting some new clothes, and hit the mother load at my local Savers thrift store last week, I bought 14 tops and a beautiful dressy jacket, all from higher end stores. $93 very well spent. tfs 💐🌵🐤🐣🐇🌷🌼🌞🏜️💐🌵🐤🐣🐇🌷🌼🌞🏜️
First of all, I love what you're wearing ! And secondly, I smiled to myself hearing #4. My sister once said she hardly ever goes to a movie. I said we don't either. But , come to find out, her definition of hardly ever wasn't what ours is ! Hers is "maybe once a month." Our definition of hardly ever is " a couple times in a decade....at the most." 😄
The only problem with buying a gift for someone when they mention they want it, is that, by the time the event arrives they may have already bought the item for themselves
Traveling to other countries is a priority for me. I did plan it when I could travel, now I am just angry that everybody here always speaks Portuguese. I love to speak other languages, visit great museums and experience a different place.
@@beatrix2583 You do have to laser focus on what you want in life. I chose to travel once every year, or couple of years and squeeze savings out to fund that. As the philosopher Jaeger said: "You can't always get what you want..." :)
Started laughing when you mentioned that frugal people very rarely throw food away or eat out. Was standing and chopping odds and enss of vegtebal for a salad before a trip so I didn't have to buy food at a restaurant.
Satellite TV has become very expensive. We have had it for years and now you don't get much on it except reruns. When our contract runs out we are going to drop it.
You might ask your provider how long you have left on your contract. You might find that it is less expensive to pay the early out fee, as opposed to the amount of money per month times the amount of months you have left.
Brand of car actually matters though, in general some brands tend to last longer and require less maintenance than others. This does not pertain to the “luxury” brands that are over priced and not typically super reliable.
We went out to a restaurant last weekend for the first time in over a year. When we got the bill my husbands eyes went wide and he’s typically the spender between us. LOL it wasn’t even a super fancy restaurant but a nice pizza joint my kids picked out. Let’s just say we won’t be eating out again for a while .
Create a sinking fund now for Christmas. If you want to spent $500 total in December you need to set aside $62.50 per month from April to December. Put it in a separate account. Then budget out what percentage of that money you will spend on each person. 🤗
Taking care of your health is the best use of your money
My favourite frugal quote that keeps me on my journey to financial freedom is "only gratitude can compete with boredom"💪🙏❤️
I consider myself to be frugal, but I spend weekends watching Netflix ;)
amen to that
I prefer to eat at home.It taste better and you know it's clean.
Let’s not demonize rest.. if you had a long hard week at work and some Netflix and popcorn is gonna help you decompress don’t feel bad!
Yesss I agree with all of this! I totally spend so much time looking for what product is going to give me the best cost per use 🙌
"Being frugal is fun for us." Yes!

If they ARE better, that's why. If not, it's because enough people are willing to pay more.

It’s funny because since becoming a minimalist...I never realized how frugal I have become. I love it!

Sorry, I am a frugal person and I don't have to spend all my tiime being busy. Relax, life is too short.
I’ve never understood the point of going to a mall to hang out. I hate shopping as well.
Not my thing past my teen years.
I love being frugal. Go TEAM FRUGAL! 😁

I have only ever had one smartphone, which I still use. The Samsung S3, which I got after it had become obsolete in about 2013. It still works.
Being newly wed, your videos helped me to be more intentional with our financial lifestyle. Thank you Jennifer😊.
there are many ways that you can go on vacations without breaking the bank, even abroad. It just takes some planning.

@@antiantipoda unfortunately lots of people think that you have to be rich to travel to other countries... big mistake!

Love these! Thanks for another great video.
Your list is spot on. 🤙
Congrats 🎈🎉🍾 on your growing channel.
Frugal ppl do care about car brands- the most economical and lowest maintenance costs like Toyotas lol.
I just give everybody CASH as gifts for birthdays or Christmas. Everybody loves cash!! And it will get them what they surely need so its a win-win.
Great video
My Christmas gifts are the same every year: socks and chocolates 😁

Some of these things describe being productive and responsible, which can be related, but not really the same as frugal if you look at the definition.
Frugal people don't stress about large things that happen...like 2020 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The people who don’t take care of their cars it’s because they don’t have the money
Yes, been there. But some people are just way too ignorant.
Which jeans?? I am looking for good jeans

Now you have to tell me what kind of jeans? (What woman isn't always on the hunt for the perfect jeans?)
Cynthia they are by the brand Democracy and the "ab"solution jeans. They have this stretchy stuff around the waist but still have a button and zipper.

Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda" style. $16.99 on Amazon! They usually retail for $40+!
Wait ✋ I drive my car to almost empty all the time because I hate going so often to the gas station are you saying that's bad for my vehicle?!!!
I’ve been told that there can be sediment in you gas tank that can harm your engine if you run too low on gas. True or not, not sure 🤷♀️
Actually it's hard on the fuel pump.
Christmas is a struggle for me I always go over budget and for many people 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. #adviceplease
