It's a right step forward for these type of car audio product. Audio has been decent, better than stock but not at the level of pioneer.

Again sound quality is important, and i'm glad companies are pursuing it.

My unit has the built in "DSP" and while it was a little better than the previous one it in no way compares to a real DSP, once you use a true DSP and get it tuned correctly you will be blown away on how much better everything sounds.
Doesn't the stock one mess with the aftermarket one?
@@anglerandy5736 yes, I have a stock radio running into a dsp, dsp has a FLAT setting that flattens out response. Then I tune from there by ear.
Bro, it has the voltage at the top of the radio, that's a game changer
Beautiful STI! Just accidentally moved from an Evo 10 to a BMW M3 E92 irl!
That was a good choice to get that m3
Hi John i have followed some of your reviews and they are really helpful to us. Thanks! May i know for the latest android hu do you find the sound output of these Android Hu much better than 1 year ago? Even without activating their EQ/DSP/Sound setting?
I have a question. Do the cut freq only affect the speakers, or also the sub? Because i don't want my speakers to go lower than 100, but at the same i need my sub to go lower than that.
Hey man, really like the videos. I am in the market for android unit for my 2017 wrx and wondering if you could give me a recommendation. TIA
So does this unit have a actual hard wire that connects to ur dsp remote turn on wire.
What model is this specifically and does the xm radio work?
Awesome buddy!
Lol u didn't explain one thing
Yes it has DSP but the RCA output is 2volts only
And the time alignment you showed does work somewhat.
I use the android radio for the main screen because I have a 2009 accord and it gives a new look
But I'm using a separate DSP with my system for the better sound.
You point to use android auto for better sound, instead of sending music by Bluetooth from mobile. This has a lot of sense. But.. It is better to use, for example, Google music directly in the android head unit, or, to use Google music from Android auto. Second option audio processing and music apps runs in the mobile, Is still making use of dsp processing? Has better sound than using a native app running in the head unit?
tldw; a good step forward in the audio game. better than stock. Bridging the gaps between brands like pioneer/kenwood/sony (still doesn't sounds as good )
Just read about a new pioneer/Kenwood that's coming out can't remember witch one but it's going to be over $1,200. And probably won't have half the features this unit does people are definitely sleeping on Android units!!!
Any updates on if anyone found a way to use the factory HK amp/speakers in 17+? Great vid as usual
What model is this the links don't seem to work anymore.
Hello.
Just seen your video.
I wonder if you can adjust each speaker individually volume??
Thanks apreciated
yes!
The DSP is optional and an additional $60? but how do you install the additional DSP?
You can't, would need a DSP chip in the unit
Nice. But why these controls usually won't work with built in radio...? Quite stupid designing.
Do you have video of connecting external amp.
Aww man. Too bad i didn't get the DSP one. But mine sounds the same as my stock stereo so it's not that bad.
Have you tried plugging a usb dac? Does it work?
I noticed you mention that these android head units do not sound as good as the pioneers etc. is this still the case if you put an external 5 channel amp for the speakers?
I want the new 2021 daisata headunit, but I’d prefer not to sacrifice sound quality.
Dasaita vs Xtrons? What do you think?
Which specific one is this?
I have one of this xtrons unit in my vw as needed Bluetooth and android auto but the sound is worse than the original radio, the fm signal is awful and the Spotify and phone calls volume in max is not enough... Very disappointing
This is off topic from this video but i was wondering if you could help me? I just installed a Seicane Android 8.1 in my 2018 STI. I can't seem to get the backup camera to work. Do i need to buy an adapter/wire harness to get the factory camera to work with the unit?
he dont know la.he s wrx have no camera.if you need to get your camera work check on subiseed.com they selling the thing that can make it work or if you smart enough by a 6v adapter can help you as well.by the way you can search on RUclips ax5000 wrx.there are a man can tell you how to make it work.
Everything in the DSP works, but the fader. So weird
When does this release?
When does the DSP version release for our Subaru’s?
Witch dsp model would you recommend for a brz ?
I haven't test any for the brz but will when i get the chance!
Is it possible to connect an amp to these android head units?
yes, that is how my setup is.
Which brand of headunit is this? iDoing?
this one is dasaita
memy
DSP basically just screws around with your sound by applying cheap digial effects to it... it's basically pointless for these cheap headunits
It makes the sound a lot better
@@JohnNguyenVincent no it doesn't, just messes with original sound to what you think is better..
Yes. I think that it only works if you have an amplifier with dsp
and it never close to Sony kenwood. do you know why? because they making android head unit just like making a cheap phone. each head unit they make the cost are not more then 50usd includes layers.
and do you really feel sound quality good? then you have a wooden ear
You have no clue what you are talking about
