When I heard the start of Beethoven's fifth, I thought for a split second that it was going to be yet another remix of the song, but I nearly lost it when it was actually Wolfgang Garther's 5th.
I thought I was the only one who decided to walk towards Roquefort?! Glad to have found someone who did this as well.

Got to applaud the game's licensed track choice. Even some that I wasn't familiar with they fit so well with the fight or theme of the area. I quickly became a fan

@@Lunardivider24 Personally speaking, I find the streamer mode songs to be better overall, since they were tailored for the game AND also because I lack the benefit of nostalgia for the licensed tracks.
Even so, tracks like “Invaders Must Die” and “Honestly” do work better, while a few others are a tie for me.
Also, Wolfgang’s 5th Symphony is undeniably the superior theme for Roquefort.
I love how they went with Mozart of all people, what with his name literally being Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Wolfgang is the name of the guy who made the rest of the song but the sample comes from Beethoven 5th symphony.
I like how Rougefort is EXTREMELY loyal to Kale. Wolves have often been seen as symbols of loyalty but also rage hence him getting stronger the more you enrage him. That mixed in with the remix of Wolfgang's Fifth (the Fizzith), a literal Wolf of Wallstreet, and a few Werewolf inspirations... this is one extremely wolf themed boss. I love it. Edit: also forgot to mention the attack called the "Big Bad Wolf" where he blows air and the only counter is a girl in red. Some... obvious Grim Fairytale influences there.
The one thing I don't see fitting is the Samurai and Japanese things in the arena. With the wolf form painting being clearly based on those old timey Japanese artworks and the kanji on the wall banners and the Samurai armour. Maybe its cus hes like a personal bodyguard (guarddog haha) or I'm just pulling at straws...
Also find it funny that Kale says hes a dog person when you try the 808 charm thing.

@@BlueCollaredK9 Wolves actually have a strong significance in Japanese mythology, since they're considered messengers of the gods in Shinto religion. Works perfectly for a man who lives to serve and protect his powerful boss.

@@sedlyholmes3722 I wouldn't say overused. I just think they didn't use his character as much as they should have.
Compared to the rest of the cast he was very very underused, with only one real mission dedicated to him.
Only bad parts of this fight were how small his hp bars were, and the parts where you have to chase his human form
This could also be on Normal, but I think it is a bit symbolic. He is only immortal in the sense that he can regenerate his armor. And a thing that size does is do the work for him. He looks intimidating. He looks strong. Only Chai had the balls to actually stand up to him. I think that even Roquefort would have had his limits. He looks kind of tired after the third round. Falling gold or not, I think the last round would have been the last one.
I mean I just used the hook each time I had to do that
For me it had to be the last rythm part. I couldnt tell the differents from the left and right clicks so i swapped to controller for it.
@@johankhamaruddin3775 I thought I was going mad when that goddamn scrolling part was kicking my ass! It just ends up smearing in a blur, especially those two buttons. I probably wouldn't have had as much trouble if they color-coded the L/R mouse buttons different colors like they did with the respective console buttons. I had to power through it because I both don't have a console controller and have never been good at using them in the first place.
when he first changed into his human form i thought maybe something would happen if i just let him run, so i just stood watching him for like 20 seconds lmao

I love how even the weak parts of this game's boss fights, like Roquefort 3, are still evocative and entertaining.
I literally just noticed his name bar changes between normal Roquefort and wolf form. So good.
This game has more story than most TV shows
This is one example of how music can elevate a game.
This boss fight is special cause of the score and the correlation of Wolfgang and a wolf villain.
It is disturbing how close Chai's outfit is almost exactly the one I outfitted him with, except I finalized with the rock ripped-jeans as intended by costume design (though I did consider the sweatpants). Even the shirt is the same because it's simply the best.
Least my guitar was something else; the solid black one that had the weird curve.
Small obvious detail that's still worth mentioning, the glass cases of that one enemy he has in display, so that you think the boss fight will be fighting a ton of those, and then the game's like "haha, NOPE, you're fighting a giant robot wolf man thing now"

Every single animation in this game mesmerizes me so much and especially how the sound effects in the cut scenes are so incredibly well timed to the beat, it's insane!
Holyshit the fact they're actually use in this remix fucking brings a tear in my eyes! last time I heard this was in an obscure puzzle game for the PS Vita
Its still so impressive watching him drop the wolf form as you're playing. Not easy to get that stuff to work
Reminds me of Hooked on Classics, they really need to make that again for nowadays

Agreed, and it's not like the others aren't great! I also think the OST is incorporated so strongly into the attack patterns and the little licks your attacks add fit so well. Just exceptional stuff , still can't get over it

Guessing this was done on normal, anything higher and this wolf will make chai into a chew toy. (20 bucks says some ones gonna say how they beat this same guy on the higher difficulty and it was easy)
I record my fights on Easy for the sake of being able to get all the song in one go

Hard isn't too bad, I think I only died once, it just takes longer and he hits harder. Hard Kale took me 7 tries though, absolutely absurd. Kind of scared to come back on very hard or master.

The furries who created this boss fight knew what they were doing.
I feel like Roquefort is the weakest designed boss in the game but to be fair the bar is set preety high. Playing on Hard mode he had about 2 or 3 moves for the first two phases and then the coin dive move on the third phase and that was it. Kale and Mimosa where definatelly the best due to their beat parryable moves making you feel like a God if you manage to pull something like this

I just realized Roquefort’s dialogue kinda sucks, it feels really disjointed in the worst way possible. Like he randomly goes into a speech about how he got here right after he just says he’s getting angry and it’s like that almost the entire fight. All the other bosses at least have some cohesion to their characters while Roquefort is over here like “Me get angy, me horny wolf man, me make munny”.
Only issue with this game is how generic Chai looks.
