Out of all the bosses i faced Mimosa was the most disrespectful since she literally slapped me to death 💀

There’s something so raw and so fucking awesome about Chai’s scrap heap guitar becoming an actual guitar and absolutely destroying the boss with it

I love how nobody made mention of this, but the way how Chai jumped on stage was a HUGE Micheal Jackson reference. From the crowd cheering to the pose itself. To me, that was pretty cool.

Considering this battle has a full on Homage to Space Channel 5, which Michael Jackson was a character in, it fits way too well.

Mistral from Metal Gear Rising came to mind in the cutscene after defeating Rekka; in the video chat with the other Bosses, Mimosa used one of her robot assistants like a prop to sit on.
I like how her wings are lower on her body making them more believable as functioning wings
Man, seeing Gitaroo Man and Space Channel 5 referenced at the same time was just perfection. This is such a good game and it's going to be remembered for a long time.
I must’ve missed the gitaroo man one despite it being one of my fav games, where was it?

@@anova4219 Look closely at Chai's pose. One of the animators was paying attention to how U-1 plays his guitar. Also later on in the game there is a scene that is a direct reference to the Legendary theme.

At the end, she appears to be defiant, but before the final blow, she appears to be pleading for mercy, but she have no nerve do it because defying her leader is punishable by death.
Does that mean she is seceretly nice

Perhaps Mimosa could've worked out a compromise with Chai at the last minute before he swung at her and joined him like Korsica did.
I'm disappointed you don't fight her in the shark costume.

All of these bosses are phenomenal, makes me wish we didn't kill Rekka, Mimosa, and Kale. Especially Mimosa, she had style. At least we have the Kale AI, Zanzo and Roquefort possibly alive for the next game, we never find out their fate if I recall.
Given the setting, you have to wonder if any of them could be brought back somehow or if they're just gone for good.
well now we know that a sequel will never happen. Sobs.

The DUN DUN DUN at the slaps is so satisfying that I can't help but laugh
Mimosa is the first boss I actually whooped.
I kinda hit my groove right at the museum level. Except for QA all the ones before killed me once.
But about halfway through this boss I realized I was actually parrying and doing it by instinct.
7:12 first time I’ve thought about Space Channel 5 in years. This truly is a game for the Dreamcast generation.
I was not prepared for the space channel 5 segment. Got a D rank in this fight first time but this one made me smile the most

Her and kales fight really was the hardest but this boss is just the weakest out of the bosses
Reminds me of endlessly dying to Mettaton then beating Asgore and Flowey in a couple of hours. Funny enough, both Mimosa and Mettaton love being a star.

I cried tears of joy when they made a reference to Space Channel 5 (and also the left shark thing, that was funny)
Her boss fight was so flashy and epic. It's my favorite one because of how theatrical it was. I loved the part where Chai and Mimosa had that little dance off before her death

I just now noticed,the reason why Chai playing his guitar during the little guitar hero sequence doesnt match at all the bosses music is because he still doesnt know how to play guitar,he´s just super hyper about it!

For me this was the easiest boss on first play through because it’s the first you have access to korsica (the most broken summon out of the 3)

Checkout NSR aka No Straight Roads. It's another action rhythm game, it's just a fun as this game but deals with electronica music. (Tho your player characters will be rock based to combat the electronic bosses.) There indeed needs to be more rhythm games tho, I agree with ya.

No matter what I do I can't parry her slap attack and I'm going insane even though I swear to god I'm doing it at the exact right time is anyone else having a problem with this? Am I just meant to stun her before he has a chance to slap me? Because before I've just been deploying macaron, peppermint and korsica and then waiting to try parry the attack instead of attacking myself
I thought the move is unblockable, kinda like a grab move.

you need to continuously attack her to get her stun gauge to 0, then when that happens she becomes defenseless and vulnerable to combos. remember that korsica's assist makes them take more stun damage for a while (when their bar is dark green)
You can spam if you want by getting everyone attack her on your team and fight then keep doing the same way this boss is easy ngl
