    Dang, that box didge threw me. Lol
    I have one of the cheap book size box didges and it's terrible. I thought all box shape didges might have sounded like mine, but I'm glad to see they don't.

      Rick Ellis was the maker, but he no longer builds them! Try Noah Frisch or DG DOO

    Question: How would you compare playing a DGDoo with a traditional didgeridoo? I am curious about whether you need to employ the same amount of forcefulness, air pressure and mouth/palate muscle tone to use them, or is one easier than the other? thank you

    I went with the dg doo. Thanks for the video, it really helped narrow it down. I’m excited to try it once it arrives. :)

      The maker is no longer building them, sadly. Your best bets are to look up Noah Frisch for a box didge, or consider DGDOO for a decent circular version of a box didge. (Tell them I sent you!)

      @@scotchbox It depends where you live. If you're in the States, I'd consider contacting Tyler at primaltones.com/ or Kyle at desertmountaindidges.com/. Please tell them I sent you!
      Another option is to post in the Didgeridoo Learning Community on Facebook and ask if anyone is selling a beginner didge.

    I bought a eucalyptus didge from an Australian store and sadly is sounds somewhat muffled like the second compact didge you played. :-( I am pretty bummed about it... wondering why my bamboo $30 didge sounds better than my $$$ didge.... ever had/heard this issue?

    • @Breathwood
      @Breathwood  4 года назад +1

      Some eucalyptus didgeridoos are too thick-walled, sadly, so their sound can be weak. Now, a strong player MIGHT be able to change this. It can take a LOT of power to get a thick eucalyptus didgeridoo vibrating....but sometimes they just aren't good instruments no matter the level of the player.

      Breathwood I ended up taking off the wax mouthpiece and made another out of oak and it helped quite a bit. Also my playing improved and strengthened over time.
