hi david great to see you on the mend! This is a brilliant tutorial. I have learned so much already from following you and now just managed the longest straight drone I've yet done , thanks to your number 4 breath. Hope you come to England some time and give us some live demonstrations.

    Hey David,
first let me thank you for all the amazing stuff you're sharing with us. I've been following for a few months now and I've learned a lot thanks to your great videos. You are a natural born teacher, do you know that?
I checked on this Olaf guy and his idea /technique of circular breathing. The way I understand it it's about creating some kind of negative pressure in the whole system (didge, mouth, throat, stomach) and by expanding your stomach when breathing you sort of suck in the air through your nose. You also have to open your epiglottis (is there a better English word for that?). I've already tried it and I have to say that it feels pretty relaxed. Olaf also talks about some way of using the voice, which he calls passive voice and which you can do on the breath. I watched his video on that but I really don't understand what he's talking about and what he is doing. Can you help?
So long and keep on didging

Thanks for the kind comments!! I understand the same thing from Olaf's videos, but I still don't fully understand them. The closest I've gotten is feeling like I can make a "yuh" movement with my throat while voicing, then breathe almost the very next instant so it sounds like one movement all combined. However, I'm not 100% sure if this is it yet. Gotta keep exploring!

Hi ,I’ve got to a stage where I can inhale whilst blowing out with my cheeks ( thank you ) but how do you keep the ‘buzz’ going I’m really struggling with this next step ,
    Thanks
    Kind regards
    Franco

The best answer is practice. Eventually your cheek and lip muscles start to work independently. Until then, it's tricky!

What key is that didge you are playing? I just got me one a few days ago and maybe got 10hrs of practice so im definitely nubie. Thanks for your vids. They are really helping with the breathing. I made me a mouthpiece and it seems to be working. Thanks Man!

the first one you start with, the second one sounds like bounced breath, the third one sounds like the wobble, the fourth one is the one you don't hear, I do one more, percussive breath, heard this from Marshal Whyler
