I just bought the Modwave about a week ago, and wanted to buy the VST later but this video tells me to buy now. It is just that I got tired a bit of editing sounds on the computer so the knobs of the hardware are a joy, but I guess I will sound design more hybrid now. Thank you for the great info.
I've stopped with the development of sound sets, they are for personal and demo purposes only now. This is because I had to close my shop once people started torrenting the premium sound sets, the sales went immediately to 0, so I had to shut it down. Not a big issue for me, because I have more time now on creating tutorials on youtube for the synths / keyboards that got the most response.
I tried out the free demo. It looks like there is more to the VST displays than the hardware version. I'm not big on knob tweaking so it looks like the VST version might save me about $700 over the hardware version. It looks to be very workable. It seems to be a little more intuitive than I found the OpSix VST.
I was thinking the exact same as you. I have the demo installed, and I've looked at the hardware version, I definitely think the VST is better, which I find really odd. I normally always go the hardware route, but in this case I'd definitely go the VST route. I have the Wavestate hardware and it's VST, I prefer the hardware on that one. I'm thinking of buying the VST of this one though, I'm really enjoying experimenting with the built in Kaos pad, it's giving out some Totaly new modulation sounds which are really good and different I tried Pigments 4 also but found it quite boring.
Thanks for the great tutorial. Appreciate also that you don't have a relatively-useless talking head squashed into some corner taking up valuable screen real estate.
Would absolutely love to see some series of indepth tutorial on this from you! Absolutely love the sounds you're creating!
So looking forward for your videos on modwave!

can you add your own samples directly with menu or drag and drop?

Great video! For evolving ambient would you pick modwave or wavestate or OP6?

This reminds me of phaseplant and pigments
