I found another toon that was on that vhs, it is called the mild west, it is on daily motion in case it is not on you tube and another song that was on there is strike up the band here comes the sailor, then there is she'll be coming around the mountain when the skunk got shot at by the cats and dogs shot at her in the end, I think there was another on that vhs but I cannot remember
I always thought that the diversity in the music of this as a child was amazing. For those of us who are musicians it is interesting that you can tell when there is a European American who is playing their particular music and then when they switch it over to an African American style of music. Even though it's a little racist LOL with the black face on the sheep but you can see and hear the difference in the music and it happens throughout this video I had this as a child and this really was an amazing piece of music to me

wow thank you for the upload! instant flashback. this cartoon used to scare me when I was younger, and now that I rewatch it, I don't quite know why lol my dad had this cartoon on vhs and now that I think about it, I have no idea why he would have it on tape. on the other side of the tape, there was another noveltoon that was about two siblings (a brother and a sister) who entered this place with a staircase and the steps would light up with the music. any idea what I'm referring to? I'd really like to see that one too if you have it or know the title!
nevermind I found it! it turns out that the noveltoon I was trying to recall is actually Raggedy Ann. great memories I can't believe I forgot about! :-D

The musicianship is amazing in old cartoon..... 1:42 a little racist lol but did give recognition to the black influence in music and the blue notes played here.
