@@Isaacandadler Ah, well, you can just bring the cable in those few times it happens. And there are also cheap tiny power banks you can get that attach directly to the back of the watch and charge it a few times.
The ultra is too sporty for me as I am not interested in those health features as that would be the first thing I would disable, but not worth it at $600 since that model is aimed at the health nuts. I am curious to see if you can squeeze 5 days of battery out of it if it's properly optimized like with the watch5 pro is able to do. I don't see any point in the watch7 as I already have a watch6 classic and watch5 pro. The ultra is less than $300 if you know how to do the trade-ins, coupons, and other various promotions floating out there.
I don't think a rotating bezel is a good idea for a general purpose adventure watch. An extra mechanism that can break probably don't go well with say rock climbing.
I'm always excited for new tech and a bigger battery, but between them removing the rotating bezel, the reverse wireless charging, and the ugly circle/square design this year, this is a hard pass for me. I'll keep me Watch 6 Classic another year.
It depends really, if you feel like you can do everything you need to on the 4, then I'd say there's no need. But if you're after some of the new tech that is available on the 7, then it's worth it; but only you can really decide that! Personally I'm upgrading from a 4 to the 7 because of the large increase in health tracking sensors and dual-frequency GPS (as living in the dense urban jungle, the 4 can be quite jittery), way higher responsiveness from the 3nm processor is obviously a huge bonus.
I was in the same boat. I took the leap 2 nights ago and did the pre-order. Battery life is the biggest motivator for me, and this is supposed to be as good, if not better than 5 pro (on paper). Also a tip-there is an option to chat with a Samsung rep...they can build a cart for you per what you request. Not only did I get the 350 dollar credit for trading the 5 Pro in, but also got the education discount along with the rep slapping another 50 dollar discount on my pre-order! For 240 bucks all-in, it was totally worth it!!
Oh, and somehow they put a second band onto my order for free...lol. Let the rep know you aren't sure if you really want to buy it, and after a couple back and forths, they hook it up
I have the six classic and perfect condition and they're offering me like around $350 credit and I might going to pre-order the old truck I want something different so I'll be paying like around 200 bucks that's super cheap I mean amazing I'm so happy that I have to six classes because I can use it to catch the next one
Yotuber should know that the rotating bezel belongs to Xlassic series, Ultra is the successor of the Watch 5 Pro. Just stop complaining about the rotating bezel.
Honestly premium-built, with an array of new sensors, but excessively bulky. 49 mm Apple appears smaller and more app-friendly, it was a stupid decision to adopt square but circle concept. don't they realize that for smartwatches, screen size is more important to properly use apps? I'm quite disappointed, and I'll keep my money first. No upgrade and I still enjoy my 6 classic rotating bezel, and for that price, a big no!! These greedy companies attempt to mainstream this pricing range, and people enthusiastically accept it 😢😢. Don't you all think it's overprice? does it have blood pressure monitor in the US?
Can you connect to a external bluetooth Hr chest strap?
Please test the speakers. Their supposed to be louder.
The speakers are much louder just got mine today
Has the charging speed increased from 10W to 15W?
Yes.
It is very clear that excluding the rotating bezel relates to the mil-grade protection and the extreme build quality.
I have a small wrist too and dont have a store nearby to try it. I know you mentioned the wrist size? I have the sane size, do you think it looks too big? It seems to look fine on you. Do you know when the White will be back in stock
What do you think about the 7 Ultimate vs Huawei Ultimate regarding the algorithms and accuracy sensors, heart rate, sport and GPS live tracking ( without taking into consideration the design battery life or mobile compatibility between iPhone or Android systems )?
You are the best tech reviewer at CNET. You should do all of the android related videos.
Thank you 🙏
Omg the reverse charging is a deal breaker. Just saw this video but pre order Ultra yesterday 😢
I never used it on my watch 6. Why would you need to top up on your phone when the battery life is so great?
@lukastemberger my case is a bit unique, I didn't bring watch charger with me for day trip or few days trip. Top up watch using phone.
@@Isaacandadler Ah, well, you can just bring the cable in those few times it happens.
And there are also cheap tiny power banks you can get that attach directly to the back of the watch and charge it a few times.
@@lukastemberger yup. That's my plan. I hope the samsung powerbank with wireless charging will work with the watch. Come free with the watch
I never once used that feature 😂
That was a fun short review. Can't wait for the full review with the ring!
Pls correct: The battery of the Ultra is NOT the biggest up to date, but actually the same as Samsung watch 5 pro.
Someone needs to make on of those phone rings on the back to wireless charge the watch.
how much time does it take to charge from 0 to 100%?
So if I use it as a standard watch and track steps and heart ( manually) how long will it last?
A rotating bezel would become stuck over time with grit and sand.
I don't think a rotating bezel is a good idea for a general purpose adventure watch. An extra mechanism that can break probably don't go well with say rock climbing.
I love the design of galaxy watch ultra. I already pre order the galaxy watch ultra i can't wait
*insert generic comment about apple watch*
AWU users are so mad 😂😂
I'm always excited for new tech and a bigger battery, but between them removing the rotating bezel, the reverse wireless charging, and the ugly circle/square design this year, this is a hard pass for me. I'll keep me Watch 6 Classic another year.
Are sendors better and gps more accurate
4:25 it's ok NOT to have reverse charging, since I never buy a wireless charging phone,.
Hi, I own galaxy watch 4 . Do you feel i need to upgrade to galaxy watch 7 44mm. Will it make a difference.please suggest
Is night mode available on standard? And other ultra watch faces?
Dear Lexy, thank you for not once saying Apple Watch Ultra in this video. It's a great review.
Does it have a bigger speaker if you need to take a call?
Yes
I have the 5 pro wondering if i should upgrade
Let the rep know you aren't sure if you really want to buy it, and after a couple back and forths, they hook it up
I have the six classic and perfect condition and they're offering me like around $350 credit and I might going to pre-order the old truck I want something different so I'll be paying like around 200 bucks that's super cheap I mean amazing I'm so happy that I have to six classes because I can use it to catch the next one
samsung today: copying like apple
Are you able to make payments with the watch?
Cushion Case Design is Only used
in Premium Watches for a Reason.
But the Design is aimed at Men Only. 🤷🏻♂️
Taking the power sharing feature away definitely sucks. I guess a power bank will work though, so whatever.
So you're gonna have to buy the S25 Ultra in order to reverse charge your Ultra watch lmaoooo
they could've easily made the middle button a rotating crown
Dive watches have rotating bezels, that's what they are used for. 20, 30 ATMs and deeper.
@@MegaTank1965
You're 100% correct but unlike dive watches the bezel has multiple purposes and could activate something unwillingly
@@MegaTank1965 Dive watches are not digitally activated and don't perform various functions. They just turn and don't do anything to the watch itself.
Thank you
My point exactly 👍🏽
Are all those features only with the ultra? Or do most apply to the 7 as well?
Most are also on the 7! Including the dual gps, new bio active sensor
Yotuber should know that the rotating bezel belongs to Xlassic series, Ultra is the successor of the Watch 5 Pro. Just stop complaining about the rotating bezel.
I want to know how that sleep apnea feature works.
Can you use the night mode on the watch 7? The red watch face?
Honestly premium-built, with an array of new sensors, but excessively bulky. 49 mm Apple appears smaller and more app-friendly, it was a stupid decision to adopt square but circle concept.
don't they realize that for smartwatches, screen size is more important to properly use apps? I'm quite disappointed, and I'll keep my money first. No upgrade and I still enjoy my 6 classic rotating bezel, and for that price, a big no!! These greedy companies attempt to mainstream this pricing range, and people enthusiastically accept it 😢😢. Don't you all think it's overprice? Forget Apple fan, but we are android user should be more smarter 😢
no, it's not overpriced. It competes with Apple Ultra and is cheaper than Apple. Preorder and you can get $200 off or other great deals. You expect Samsung to put out an Apple Ultra competitor and charge hardly anything for it? Get real.
We should be "more smarter"? Not an encouraging statement for being smarter.
👉GW4 with rotating dial, GW5 no dial, GW6 with dial, GW7 no dial.
👉GW4 with lower battery size, GW5 pro higher battery size, GW6 with lower battery capacity, GW7 ultra back with GW5 pro battery capacity to claim "increased/larger" battery.
👉Wireless charging will be back next year
Samsung is playing marketing games with us instead of innovation like they used to.
I TOTALLY AGREE ,IT'S A JOKE THING TO DROP A FEATURE JUST TO BRING IT BACK THE NEXT YEAR.
I've had the gwa2, to gw4, all the way to the gw7. I've never had an opportunity to try the rotating bezel.
@corey7219 I agree, but that is beside the point. Plus, it was fun to just rotate the dial.
I liked the style of ultra
Reverse wireless charging for the watches always sucked even back with the S20 ultra. Its a nice gimmick but I feel like it wont las much longer
I do wish it had rotating bezel
Can I get it to work on my tab's wearable app?
I cannot sleep with this big watch on my wrist
That's why you have to buy the ring too lol
It doesn't feel larger than my old watch 4
Get a bigger wrist
I have a Garmin Epix Pro 51mm and sleep with it on without any problems.
@@ibby81ae I did. It wasn't the best for me
I wasn't clear why the rotating bezel was removed, but another commenter on another video made a great point. Why would you want a rotating piece when it's meant to be more rugged? You dont want particles to get stuck under there, etc.
