Well my grandfather on my dads side my dads father has loads of hair so does his brother and his father which would b my great grandfather and my great great grandfather had loads of hair to
Nick is right I inherited my dads juvenile hairline. My dad also inherited his juvenile hairline from his grandfather. My older brother has thiner hair and seems to be sort of maturing. Me and my brother have compmetely different hairlines. We all inherit a specific hairline that a male has in our family
It mostly, not all, comes down to the shape of the frontal lobe (of the skull). men who tend to go bald, later in life, have that frontal forehead slant/curve. More egg shaped.
I have made this observation my self, i'm turning 32 soon and my hair is as far as i can tell the same as it was when i was 15. My head shape is not curved, i have more of a square smaller head, i'm pretty much an asian in terms of skull size and shape, but i think it comes down to genetics for the most part, my grandpa still has a full head of hair being in his 80s, his brothers also the same, my mother have really thick good hair so i think i lucked out. As for my father i have no idea as i never knew him.
@@HansensUniverseT-A I, too, have a squared skull and I am not bald at 62 years old. That said, I must have less hair than I did when I was 32. Hair texture is also different I used to have more curly hair. Now , they are still curly but less curly. Best of health to you.
My brother has straight hair, i have Wavy Curly Thick hair! He's thinning out, i think i am taking after my Uncle on my mom's side, he was 70 when he died and he was a Norwood two, i also take after him personality wise too lol he was a great guy.
I have one uncle who’s bald. He’s the only one in my whole family who’s completely bald and everyone else has most or all of their hair. With my luck though...
I am turning 32 and my hairline is an exact copy of my grandpa, we pretty much have the exact head of hair, he is in his 80s now and still a full head of thick hair, but nearly all men in my family do, my great grandfather died at the age of a whopping 103 years old and still had plenty of hair on his head.
I have 3 brothers and then me, so 4 brothers all together and we all have different hairlines and all 3 of my brothers have slowly begin to lose their hair in their late 20s, we are all a year apart. I’m the only one who shows no sign of any hair loss. I’m in my 40s now and have all my hair and they are still going bald like every other male on both sides of my parents families. I’m literally the only older male who has all of my hair, can someone tell me how? And why that is? If all the males go bald, but not me🤷🏻♂️
I got my mothers hair texture and she got it from her mother. My kids have my wifes hair texture. I have a boy and a girl. They are adults now, but they didn't get my hair. I am diffusing at the top and thinning slowly at the vertex at 52. But I still look like I have good hair for my age with the help of some Toppik. I think that the mother is a better determination than the father. In my experience anyways.
I've got my dads hair texture my mother got fine curly hair and me and my dad got thick wavey hair. My dad aged 60 and he's still got thick hair but now its all grey I hope I take after him lol x
Sad . I must have much north American indian blood, and no one In my family is bald . Just getting a few silver threads after 60. But now at 64 I still have lots of hair ,like I was 18
My uncle is bald my biological dad has hair but my moms side all have hair lays into like the 60s biological fathers side has possibility of going bald. I have strong confidence I won’t go bald for a long time
@@NickShellVideos The thing is I have my dad's hair type which is wavy/curly but my moms hair texture being coarse and my brother has curly hair like our mom but hair texture is medium like our dad. So I was wondering if the hair type can be a mixture from both sides of the family instead of just one which is what me and brother have.
luckily for me baldness dont tend to run in the family. My father at 75 still has a full head of hair and both my grandads lived to well into their 80s and both had a full head of hair at the end of their lives. All my uncles also have a full head of hair in their 60s and 70s so i think its reasonable to say i wont go bald
You won't. Same in my family. We have mix blood from Mexico and Spain and every man has always had a full head of hair. And silver hair doesn't start till were in our mid 60's. I'm just surprised Europeans have families with full hair .
Same here my dad became bald due to extreme tense family conditions and stress he had .My grandpa was 47 when dad was born still grandpahad very good hair and mothers father when he's was dead had low hairline with gooddensity no one other than my father have baldness I am 17 experiencing hair loss
My grandpa went bald at 30ish and my dad has a full head of hair so does his dad my hair just feels weird tho. I’ve been obsessing over losing my hair since 8th grade
Not sure how it works with my family. My maternal grandfather died with a thick head of hair. Paternal grandfather was bald young. My father, brother and all cousins/uncles on both sides of the family were severely bald (Norwood 5+) by their early 20s. Mine seems to have started later and is much slower (I'm 33), but the way I'm diffusing I can tell that my end destination will be a Norwood 6...
I have wavy hair unlike my brothers with straight fine hair. My dad was the only one with wavy hair and his whole family had like either bald heads or noorwood 0s I’m currently noorwood 0 so am I good?
my family baldness history: my father's father was nw 2 in his 60's, my father nw7 was in his early 30's, my three of uncles from my mother side are nw1-2 in their 50's, my maternal grandfather was nw 3 in his entire life (late 20's- 60's) and guess what ? i am nw 2.5 in my 21 :D gg wellplayed
Hey nick! Great video. I agree with your statements. I was wondering if facial hair genetics and the hair on top of your head are capable of being from different sides of the family? Like could your beard be from your moms side and the hair on top be from your dads side? Thanks!
My brother has really thick hair and its really dark i don't have thick or thin hair my older brother has the same hair thickness as me but he has dark blond hair i have really dark brown hair my youngest brother hair is brown
100% spot on Nick. Its the biggest myth out there regarding hairloss. I think your father can be the biggest indicator regarding it. I very often see sons that resemble their dads hairline and hair type, imo it holds true for me and my father. A great example of what im talking about is the Duggar boys. All of Jim Bob Dugger's sons have the same norwood 2/3 hairline and quite thin hair, even from a young age. And we all know he has a lot of sons lol.
My mums dad lost his hairline at 30 but my dad still has hairline at age 54 so I beg I get dads genes
Bro same
hopefully
Well my grandfather on my dads side my dads father has loads of hair so does his brother and his father which would b my great grandfather and my great great grandfather had loads of hair to
Same here
My dad and my grandpa are bald. I’m screwed
No one in my family has hairloss but thankfully I do 😁

Crap I better prepare mentally
Edit: wait you said later in life LETS GOOO bet I’m down to go bald in my 60s

Omg same I get so worried both of my grandfather's have hair though my great grandfather went bald
Bro his balding is not from his father or your grandfather it might be from stress and life situation so your father have hair you too will have

If my dad is bald and my moms dad has a full head of hair, would I go bald to?
Watch my newer videos to find out. I know the answer.

all my relatives say I have the same hair type/texture as my mum's dad, and he had thick hair at 50. I hope they're right lol....

@@angelzamora2642 yh man I have the same thing
Can u get your dads fathers hair?
Then with the hair loss Look if you losing hair that's rock out about it you don't need it
That made no sense
the bald people in my family are my moms uncle my father and my fathers father the rest got hair what are my chances
Answer the 5 questions.
photo at age 1 norwood 1
age now 15
no beard
hair now norwood 1
not asian
So based on what I teach in my videos, you are now able to answer your question.
from what I've seen in from your videos I shouldn't go bald but I'm not sure cause even my dad is bald a closer family member
All that matters are the 5 questions. Don't complicate this for yourself.
i have the same hairline as my brother which is identical to our maternal uncle
