Ohhh my you are a speed knitter can not believe how far you got on your moms sweater. wow looks so good. You bunting will be so cute. I just put my tree up but not decorated yet, but hopefully later today I will start. We are not exchanging gifts this year as my oldest daughter is unemployed right now and money is tight. But we plan on getting together and playing games and eating way too much food. Happy crafting Patty
@@pattysmith9266 I'm not a fast knitter but I've been knitting a few rows before work and all evening after. If I'm sitting I'm knitting on THAT jumper. I much prefer the family get togethers, meals, games, etc to the presents. X
Hi Anita. Lovely sweater for your mother. And, wishing you many happy travels in your new caravan. Very exciting! And perfect name for it... Thank you for sharing from a snowy Connecticut, Janet
I hope all goes well with the collection of your Campod! It will soon feel very cosy once you’ve added all of your own little touches - star bunting will be just perfect! When I was growing up, we always put the Christmas tree up on my mum’s birthday, 16th December, so over the years we’ve always tended to do it around that date… but in more recent times, I’ve put some decorations up sooner when I’ve been doing some sort of Vlogmas…! xx
Martyn's picking the Campod up Tuesday now because of the weather. I shall just have to be patient. I can't wait to start using it. I agree if your doing Vlogmas it's nice to have the place looking festive. I always use my Christmas tablecloth for Christmas hamper day as otherwise it doesn't get much use. My Nan and Grandad bought it many, many years ago on one of their 'foreign' holidays. I think it would be classed as vintage now. 🥰
I love how you make it real Anita, I think we all make mistakes in our projects, I know I do. We used to put up our Christmas tree later in December but for years now we've put it up on December 1st. I love sitting by the light of the tree it makes it all cosy on these dark days. I've knitted hats for two of my grandchildren the other two aren't fussed about wearing hats and some socks for my middle daughter, I'm not making anything else for anyone. Looking forward to seeing your little caravan, your bunting is going to look so cute!
Thank you. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who makes mistakes in their projects. I'm not making anything else for Christmas presents after this jumper. I don't usually knit big items for other people especially with a deadline. X
Hi Anita, both your jumpers are lovely❤ thanks for sharing about the star bunting, I would love to add that to my list of projects😊😊Have a lovely time collecting your new wandering star 🎉🎉 xx
Hello! I’m so with you about putting the tree up. Usually the second weekend for us. Down for New Year too so short and delightful. I think the children now must be so washed out with it by the time the event arrives. A bit sad really. Looking forward to catching up on some of your earlier videos, Amo 😊
Hi Anita, love your mums jumper and your partially made one. The snowflakes are gorgeous. We have always had a touring caravan, however we sold the last one 18 months ago. But we have been looking for a camper for awhile and today we actually found the one. But it’s above our planned budget. So we came home and played with figures and hubby is going to make them an offer tomorrow. When we had our caravans, it was my favourite time to craft. I even sat in it on the drive some days. So I imagine you are very excited. I don’t put my decs up until 1st full weekend in December. Anyway enjoy your weekend picking up your new toy and getting to know her.xxxx
Also I still haven’t decided on my advent make, I’m going on a crafting for charity day tomorrow, so maybe I’ll take my options and get them to help me decide.xx
Hi Anita, I have 3 advents this year, can't wait!! Also been making stars, for small gifts for work mates. You could try some baking paper on the window (the white translucent one) to cut the glare but not the light. Happy travels with your camper!!😊🌻💕🦘🧶
3! You lucky thing. That's a good idea re the baking paper, thank you. I'm looking forward to going off on our travels. Although the Campod has limited storage I shall have to find room for my craft projects. 😊
I am expecting lovely colours from Ellie. I've bought her yarn before and it's beautiful but it's my first yarn advent calendar. It's very exciting having all those little packages waiting to be unwrapped. X
How exciting, getting your Campod. Can't wait to see it. Love the jumper you are wearing, I have so much kidsilk haze in stash so it might be on my needles. xx
That jumper is so warm and not restrictive to wear. Definitely a favourite. Collection of Campod posponed until Tuesday due to horrid weather. Fortunately no flooding in my part of Wales. Hope you're keeping safe and dry. X
Hi Anita! All your makes are lovely. Don’t mind the little mistakes, as that just proves they are hand knit. I did the same on a jumper I knit for my son-in-law. I forgot to cross the cable. He will probably never notice it. No tree here, maybe the week before Christmas. The election here in the states has made me very sad and the next four years will be a bit of a nightmare. Happy crafting!
As with my camera it looks the wrong way round when you're recording but it looks ok once you upload . I bet you're so excited about the pod. It will look fab when you've added the little touches I usually have our tree up the 2nd weekend in December until early January cos i love the lights xx
Using imovie was so simple once I got the hang of it. Collecting pod on Tuesday as they are such a new company insurers didn't have them on their databases. Definitely a case of the computer says no. All sorted now though. I love the fairy lights too. X
Hi Anita. I sent you a message on Instagram re the short rows. I’m also going to see if I can find some clear instructions in one of my knitting books. No one will notice the cable cross missing in your mums jumper. The jumper is lovely and your mum will wear it with pride. I’m the same as you. Christmas tree goes up no earlier than two weeks before Christmas. When we were children and used live trees that were placed in water they only lasted a short time before all the leaves dropped. I think Christmas is starting too early now. My tree is well and truly down before the new year, hopefully within a few days of Christmas. We have a tradition Christmas lunch with roast pork, roast chicken, gravy, roast veges etc followed by plum pudding. My kids aren’t a fan of plum pudding so I usually make them peach cobbler with lots of whipped cream. ❤️🌺
Thank you Lenore. We are very similar. My children don't like Christmas pudding either so I usually make them either a cheesecake or pavlova. Unfortunately I like ALL the desserts. 🙄
Thank you so much for the ‘shout out’ 😘🧶xx Your stars look fabulous and I’m excited to see them hanging in your caravan … how exciting !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️xx
You're welcome. You and the projects you make are very inspiring and you share so many designs for free. It's very generous of you. X
Anita I love your color choices for your projects, they are lovely. Thank you for helping us get in the holiday spirit
Thank you and not a Christmas bauble in sight ?........ not yet anyway. X

Thank you Janet. Snow. How lovely. I hope we get some this year. Of course the UK comes to a standstill if we get more than 3 inches.

Thanks Eva. Sorry to be adding to your neverending list. We might postpone caravan collection because of the pending bad weather. Very frustrating. X
@ I dream of an uncomplicated knitting life one day😂😂might be a good call re camper, I’m glad I’ve got a quiet weekend lined up, stay cosy!

Thanks Sue. I can see myself sat in the caravan on the drive too. A new take on holiday at home. I hope your offer is accepted. X
That's a great idea. I'm not very good at choosing when I have lots of options. I hope your fellow crafters choose well. What are the options? X
@@GagaKnits I think I’ve decided to do Strobulus Shawl. Xx

Jennie I too am in the US and agree with you. So happy to have this positive channel to help me craft my way through
Thanks Jennie. I'm definitely not going to point out the mistake to my mum. At least you have crafting to take your mind off things. X
Thank you. Your comment is very kind. I'm glad you feel that way about my channel. X
