Did he just say that Puccini only wrote ONE aria for the Baritone voice? Yeah, obviously he's never performed or studied the greats if he actually think Puccini only wrote ONE aria for the Baritone Voice; matter of fact, he's crazy if he think Puccini only wrote ONE role for the Baritone Voice! Has he NOT heard of Jack Rance from La Fanciulla del West with the great aria "Minnie, dalla mia casa son partito" or the amazing role of Barone Vitellio Scarpia and the many arias there "Te Deum" and the Act 2 aria right before Tosca does her scene of "Vissi D'arte"? Or did he forget that Puccini also wrote Marcello and Schanuad in "La Boheme"? How is THIS considered top tier at all?
It is the only real aria for baritone, in the traditional sense. Everything you are naming are scenes. Ofc there a lot of baritone roles, but he didnt say anything about roles.
@@floriantavic2992 Except no it's not. "Te Deum" is the main aria from the larger scene; "Minnie, dalla mia casa son partito" is also a standalone aria from Fanciulla, which is Rance's main and only aria. Michele has his aria of "Nulla, silenzio" and then sings a final duet with Giorgetta in Il Tabarro. Finally, we get two the last two baritone roles of Gianni Schicchi and Schaunard from La Boheme; both, having their own arias, with Schuanard being the only other male figure to have an aria besides Rodolfo in Boheme and Gianni Schicchi with the aria "Era Ugale la voce?" and Schuanard with "La banca di Francia" This is not including the fact that the baritone leads in both Le Villi and Manon Lescaut have their own arias; respectively, Le Villi has the wonderful baritone aria of "No, possible son e...Anima senta" and Manon lescaut with Lescaut's aria "Sei splendida e lucante".
Which, he'd be so wrong for. Scarpia's gia dicon mi venal, jack rance's minnie, Dalla mia casa son partito; Michele's Nulla silenzio, and finally Gianni Schicchi's era eguale la voce. And in the lesser done aria from Puccini, Schanuard has an aria in Boheme (even Marcello doesn't have an aria). All were written for baritones by Puccini.
Germán, Come On .. Let's try to sing the opera with a subtype as follow : Among The Others : Baritono Contraltino Baritono Leggero Barítono Ligero Barìtono Ligero Baritone Altino Baryton Martin

You have a beautifull voice. There are little points which you may notice yourself. Now it sounds sometimes a little flat. A masters might help you in order to make is cry . Please keep on singing.
I've always loved this aria. It's a pity Edgar is not performed more frequently. Bravo!
The best interpretation I've heard of this aria.

Do I understand this right in what he says - Its the only aria as in the definitiom of aria that puccini ever wrote for a baritone?
True

@@tonshaad1230maybe he meant this is the only aria really written for a lyric baritone?
@@boundary2580 Well, he should've said that because he's not being truthful without that addition.
Nice.

Not a fan of this singer. He swallows his tone too much. He needs to get it out front more
Absolutely agree
