This video hardly represents how bumpy/gusty/tricky this approach was! Max crushed it!!!!!
So great flying together Mindy! Can’t wait to see the next videos on your channel and mine! Let’s do it again soon.
I'd say he earned a chocolate chip cookie!
I imagine it was worth it for him... just to have you in the right seat. I mean that in the most professional way.
He is the King Of Grease
@@thomaspittock4018 Indeed.
Jetlinx: "pull over!"
2RF: "No it's a cardigan but thanks for noticing!"
Great comment 😂
that guy on final at Telluride was stressing out hahahahhaah mans on a 9 mile final and asking them to be quick as if they're just going to park it there lmao
As a traffic controller, I absolutely love Mindy's radio work, its short and right to the point. There is no hello how ya doing, whats going on and all that other chatter. You saw how the controller didn't have time to engage in a conversation on if its going to be an RNAV or a visual. Its very busy being a controller. Excellent video, nice jet.
As an additional comment, that last controller should have told you what to expect, but like stated above she must have been busy. Having retired as a controller we get in ruts, sometimes we forget things especially when the last 10 arrivals flew the XYZ approach
This is the one thing I don't agree with my CFI, he always insists in calling in and greeting to establish communication before anything else.
I've noticed now the controllers just ignore me saying 'hi' and go straight to the point. It's the one thing I won't do when flying by myself, they're busy enough.
@@whiffy506 you bet, controllers are juggling multiple aircraft at the same time, you might not hear them but they are often on another line getting clearances for you at the same time that they are directing traffic or talking to other controllers on the status of other aircraft etc,. I have often not to responded to Hello, how are you or whats going on or how are you doing etc, not trying to be mean but just dont have the time. Mindy's radio work is a controllers dream come true lol. Just tell us what you want and we will try our best to accommodate and get you on your way.
My PPL was done with a CFI who was also a local ATC. I completely agree. He taught me like you said. Get the point. I remember he use to count the number of words is used and ask me if I could say the thing in shorter words.
My most annoying thing I hear on radio is pilots saying “with you.” Not duh they are with you lol
I am a big big fan and subscriber of Mindy but I have one critique to a few of her radio calls I heard here. I hope I don't get flamed for it, I am not trying to armchair or call anyone out lol. But... "up to 320, 2RF" or on another radio call "220, 2RF", these numbers can mean 3 different things. I always like to say or hear the words "altitude/ft/flightlevel, heading, or speed" preceding these numbers. As a private pilot, I like to know exactly what other aircraft are doing and know that they copied the right info, instead of just relying on hope that everyone is on the same page. "Flight Level 320, 2RF" or "heading 220, 2RF" is more appropriate while still staying short and sweet. Love you Mindy! I hope you see this as a friendly critique and recommendation. Absolutely not trying to correct a pilot with tons more experience than me. Mad love to Max and Mindy. You both are easily in my top 5 favorite youtubers. Keep up the great work!
Two CitationMax uploads in a month? I must be DREAMING
Haha! Oh yes!
@@CitationMax PLZ keep it up !
Looks like he was bragging about flying with Mindy. I would :) Maybe there's a little more there?
The professionalism between Mindy and Max is astounding
"Pretty slow day with Southwest cancelling all their stuff."
I think the peace on the tarmac is not indicative of the turbulence inside the airport.
Great stuff again, Max.
“ Do you have somewhere to pull off?”
Max- shoulda said “ yeah we’ll pull off in the grass for ya!”🤣
Exactly......what an idiot. Acted like everyone else had to get out of his way
"If you had done adequate flight planning and studied the airport diagram before arrival, you'd already know the answer to that..."
@@matt_waddy right!
Yeah!
Wow your call sign, I knew it it was for the pets, brought tears to my eyes, your mom is amazing, Thank you again for loving pets, as you can tell am the same way, 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
2 legends flying a “famous plane.” Love the banter and hearing Mindy work the radios (that’s always my favorite part of videos fearing Mindy, she has such mastery and great rhythm with ATC).
Thanks very much Eric! Appreciate you watching the video. Take care!
A big shout to Reggie and Figo! 2RF has never been so meaningful.
Sold my 310, years ago and I want to get back into flying in the next 5 years. I reserved 3 so far since November... My dream tail number was available on the reservation site. Thank God!
I know the work that goes into these and they are so well done. Thank you for continuing to upload these and letting us live vicariously through your adventures. Your professionalism never wavers. Also, I fly this plane in MSFS and learned so much along the way. Thank you!
Thank you very much! That means a lot. Hope all is well! See ya on the next video.
Gotta love the impatient guy on the long final , like he owns the airport
He was coming in 09 so head on to them. Both Max and Mindy missed this in his radio calls and thought he was also coming in 27. Definitely odd he didn't realize there is no where to pull off though. Not an airport you should fly in to without studying its layout.
“Possession is 9/10ths , I’ll tell you when I’m off my runway young man” you just keep approaching your 7.5 mile final 🤣🤣🤣
The team work and communication was outstanding.
You two are totally awesome. More, more, more!
Excellent flying! Thanks!
What a wonderful surprise to jump on my computer this morning and find two of my favorite pilots flying together. I follow both of your channels and this was a joy to watch.
Loving the Excitement!
Nerves of steel, handled like a 172!!!
Nice seeing Mindy not only on the channel but sitting right seat. Both of you rock.
Awesome Flight, Max. It's so awesome to have u back. You have just shown the piloting world the true meaning of crew coordination into a very challenging arrival. Brilliant work.
Another great video!! Thank you both!
What a great duo video from two of my favorites! Great stuff and great editing! Telluride is awesome for so many reasons! Blue skies and smooth air!
Another great flight Max. Thank you.
You are 1 gifted pilot. I couldn't see the runway at all until the last 30 seconds b4 landing. Awesome work. Love it
I am in awe as to how smooth the communication was between the two of you.
Really enjoy watching both of you on your own but that was just a great collaboration of skills. I'll be watching this approach more than once for sure. Wild!
So great to see you both flying together
Former airline pilot here. Great crew coordination. I hope I get to see more of you guys in the Citation.
Great job! I always love seeing all of the ponds and lakes when you're flying in and out of Florida. Can't beat those Colorado mountains either!
Great Job Max and Miiindy!!!! Love your stuff
Great team flying from Orlando to Telluride!! Well done.
Awesome guys so glad you guys are flying and content sharing!!! Great stuff. More of this please
Thanks Jay! Appreciate you watching.
Great trip guys, we loved the mountains, looked mighty cold too.
"WOW" Amazing approach- I love this place
Great video as always Max! I saw the ground stop at HPN when the aircraft incident happened and instantly thought of you. Happy to hear you are safe, RIP for the pilots who were involved.
WOW!! Great Flight, Max!!
I love your vids Max, seriously outstanding quality. This one with Mindy was awesome. Can't wait for your next one.
I have not flown in years but I was totally hooked and mesmerized watching yalls approach coming into Telluride!!! Awesome video and enjoyed the relaxed dialog between you two!!!
My grandma's house was in Durango. During my whole young life, rarely saw Telluride by car, It's quite a long, difficult drive. Approach scene here is awesome, nice videography!
WOW, all of those lenticular clouds over the peaks! Great video!
Thanks so much!
Incredible approach and well flown - well done Max.
Another great video, thank you.
Thanks very much Ian!
Great team work between two excellent pilots.
That was busy and entertaining! Love to see you onboard more often, Mindy. You two work well together.
Thanks Keith! Mindy is on the next video as well! She fly’s us socal. It’s going to be a good one.
Thank you for sharing your trip.
Breathtaking view on the approach.
Wow! Awesome approach, looks challenging.
Great flight to see you two!! The Colorado mountains..incredible to see..and that bandaid of a runway to land on…amazing!!
Great approach!!!
Awesome views…..
Even better teamwork!!!
Awesome video Max ! I'm sure you put a smile on Greg's face as well for that approach and landing at Telluride ! Epic Max !!
Fantastic flying and landing from a true professional, and with a great co-pilot!
What a great start to a new year and what a surprise to see Mindy coming along as your number two. I enjoyed every minute of this video. Hopefully Mindy will return on future flights. Safe travels.
Thanks Mike! Glad you enjoyed it. She will definitely be on more videos.
@@CitationMax Thanks Max.
2 legends for the price of one, whats not to like? Awesome flight you guys, that was a very challenging approach and you both handled it like the true professionals you are👍 What a spectacular area👌
You could not ask for a better co-pilot CitationMax! Great video! Looking forward to more with you and Schmiiindy!
Awesome as always sir. Thanks for showing me Mindy's channel. So much content to explore. Also, dat landing 😲 Thing of beauty
Thank you Calis! Thanks for watching!
Wow!!! Good job !!! Impressive approach.
Thx! Cool approach sir!
I thoroughly enjoyed this latest vid. Excellent communication in the cockpit and an awesome approach and landing in Telluride. Like another follower said, Max makes it look so easy. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it Roy! Thanks for being apart of the channel. Take care
He knows his citation very well. Love watching you fly max thank you for bringing us along!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it
Superb flying, as always. Pro crew, two of you together…dynamic team.
I can imagine also some confused controllers, Max's friends, hearing a different voice on the coms :) Nice trip, awesome teamwork and great approach. Nice to have Mindy on board.
Thanks for sharing the meaning of 2RF ❤
Thanks for posting. Great stuff
Nice meaning to your call sign. Our dogs stay with us long after they are gone.
Well done… great video, thank you to both of you.
Great CRM in action. Well done. The Jetlink guy was out of bounds. The runway was yours, it's incumbent on him to respect that and adjust accordingly. His pushy radio calls were unprofessional.
Thanks for sharing , yet another great job!
Fantastic approach 👀. Thanks MAX
Great video....can't wait to see the rest of the trip.
Great job Max, using your skills. Love the video as always.
What a great colab! U work great together. Hope to see more.
Great video Max. Loved the comments from Mindy. Let’s see more like this if we can in the future.
My 2 most favorite aviators and I loved the flights with you and your husband Mindy, awesome. I need to get to Lakeland when everyone is there. Im in Brooksville.
Really enjoyed the video. Schmiindy doing an amazing job on the radios and the checklists.
The JetLink was on final for 09, head on to your landing. When you back taxied, he was behind you. That's why you couldn't see him. He just wanted you to hustle off the runway.
That was such a beautiful video. Awesome job capturing the environment and scenery!! Not easy to do……surgical approach too!
Two of my favourite pilots on the same channel, must be Christmas! Looking forward to more.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching Nigel!
Considering the conditions, this was the most impressive landing I have seen. The communication, call outs and planning were fantastic. Thank you for the video!
Nice ride. Thanks.
Great job Max! Fun flight!
Absolutely cool approach and air jockeying. Great job!
Very neat, love the approach.
Palms are still sweating watching that approach. That was intense. Would be damn near impossible if there was any weather. Nice job working together on that.
Definitely an "upgrade" to the cockpit! Awesome trip and scenery!
Glad your back Max
That approach was awesome! Like a rollercoaster.
I can proudly say that I have landed and taken off in Telluride flying a Citation V, and I have done the same in St. Barts flying a Piper Aztec. Both airports were memorable. St. Barts turned into an overnight though, since we landed just prior to sunset dropping off, and then the next plane landed gear up closing the runway. Thanks Air St. Thomas, for lending us the crew house that night. Thanks Max for sharing! I really enjoy your videos. For me, they are a nice walk down memory lane - well before RUclips became a thing...
Wow...double bonus! Max & Mindy and great ride to Telluride...gotta love it!!!😊Not to mention the excellent CRM by a couple of pros...
That was pretty amazing! Nice flying Sir, and great co piloting there lady! One heck of a ride! Had to watch that a few times! Exciting!
What a scary runway approach! Wow! Amazing !
That looked like an intense approach, so well executed. Congrats, Max. Enjoyed listening to the banter between the two of you during the flight.
It sure was! Thank you Rodney! Take care
@@CitationMax was the guy landing in the opposite direction a regular? winds 220 g 22 and he lands with all that tailwind?
Two of my favorite pilots I follow. Great teamwork and beautiful approach and landing! ✌️❤️🙏
Thanks very much Bob!
Wow, what an AWESOME approach and landing in the slop! Absolutely spot on and fun to watch. Max, your hand flying is just great man!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed the approach. Take care
Great work Max, Mindy is a great Co-Pilot. Thanks for the videos.
Man that approach looked scary. Surrounded by mountains. It was gusty and bumpy. It required Max's full skill set. Great job Max and Mindy!! Incredible approach, my heart was in my throat just watching!
It was definitely top 5 approaches I’ve ever flown. Thanks for watching! Means a lot. See ya on the next video!
What an excellent video! The scenery was awesome on approach. Great job!
Great job Maxx!!!!! Beautiful landing..
Beautiful video , thanks. ! 🙏
Incredible video man the approach was unforgiving amazing to see, like my pops always says great people doing great things !
