For those not familiar...Max is Citationmax here on RUclips. Flying the Citation (N2RF) is his job. The plane is owned by his father and Max is the chief pilot. Anytime Max flies his father, the father requires two certified pilots in the cockpit. Most of Max's videos are just him flying alone on flights to re-position the plane or on the way to pick-up his dad. Some of his videos do have him and another pilot operating as a crew when Dad is aboard. Check out his channel...lots of great videos!
Two pilots are required by the insurance carrier of certain types of policies on various individuals. His dad is most likely one of those individuals. Very nice.
My favorite phrase for awhile now is "positive rate, gear up" which I use whenever my day gets off to a good start or some weekend checklist chore gets done according to the flight plan.
Nice to see both you and Max in the air again. It makes the videos double interesting. Any plans to do any more flights with Steveo in the near future. I'm an 80 yr old who nolonger flies because of health issues. I can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me to follow along on your flights. Your videos are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much !
Hi Mindy. Greetings from Australia. As a retired Air traffic Controller and private pilot I thoroughly enjoy your content, especially your flying adventures with Kevin. Having you and Max flying together is a bonus and as always an example of professionalism and great crew interactions. Fantastic landing by the way. I think I'd be hitting Max up for one of those custom "Greased It" windscreens for the Bose microphone. You earned it. Much love to you and yours and happy flying.
Great flying Mindy. You guys work well together and enjoy banter in non sterile phases! @citationmax more from you both please😀👌🏼😜!? Appreciate both you guys.. Andrew B South Africa.
“New Orleans” in the title caught my attention…Lakefront Airport is a spectacular place and Wendy and the entire crew @ Flightline First are as efficient as it gets! Hope you were able to grab a bite @ Messina’s Runway Cafe (way cool). Loved the video!! Fly safe. Mb
Great to see two of my favorite RUclipsrs collaborating. Excellent CRM in the cockpit, you guys are like a well-oiled machine! The only thing missing…klindy on the comms. Thanks for taking me along 🤗
Hi buddy how's it going hope you are well.brilliant flight Mindy did you learn anything new.awesome landing take care and keep enjoying life Phil 👍🍀😁🇬🇧
These two work so well together. PS Dad is a smart man requiring two pilots. He doesn't want to wind up on some of the other channels like Real ATC where a civilian gets on the radio asking how to land the airplane.
@@chrisjohnson6765 Sounds like that would get boring after a couple years of flying the old man around every once in a while. At least it would for me.
Someone on another thread said when his father flies in the plane Max is the copilot to a more experienced pilot. Is that true and if so why? Max seems from his videos to be a very competent pilot in the Cessna and it's rated for a single pilot.
Smid, is there some background about this flight? For example, are you in the process of being rated for that make and model of plane? Thanks. Love the videos. You two rock!
I have had my type rating for the citation since 2021 but had never used my certificate much. So this flight was still under my limitation of needing mentorship hours with another citation rated pilot :)
Hello everyone, can someone tell me what is the ATC controller saying between 14:42 and 14:46? He is saying 2 ROMEO FOXTROT, HOUSTON ………………….? CHARLIE ECHO WHISKEY CLIMB AND MAINTAIN FL340, I know that the pilot read back saying cleared direct to CRESTVIEW VOR, but I can’t understand the exact word of the controller 😒 please! Thanks
excellent video Schmiiindy, as always, the only comment I have is for Citationmax, I don't know why pilots have the bad habit of abbreviating the word Foxtrot, it is completely incorrect and denotes a lack of professionalism, we can clearly hear it throughout the video, Clearance, Ground, Tower, Departure, Center and so on, everyone says Foxtrot, the only person who says Fox is Max, and I want to make it clear that it is not a destructive criticism, on the contrary it is something constructive, I have been a commercial pilot for 30 years and more than 20 as an instructor and I always try to make each of my students sound as professional as possible, even if they are going to be private pilots, once again I apologize if my criticism seems destructive but it was not my intention, my intention is that every day we continue to grow as professional pilots
Can someone explain why having a tail wind when starting an engine is a bad thing? With the high pressures and temperatures involved I'm missing what the issue is...Thanks. Great video by the way.
He mentioned it was hard on the starter, and to have the same flow through the engine, you need higher rpms of the starter. All in all, it makes starting harder, and that is something you want to avoid. When blowing hard, it may even become challenging to start I would expect.
@@benpatana7664 Thanks for the reply...that's interesting. I was always amazed at how the Falcon 9 first stage was able to reignite its engine for landing with supersonic flow entering the nozzle.
I live down there and there are BIG alligators down there. Really good fishing. Need to do some meet ups. That is my flying territory. I could have brought yall some cajun goodies or some homemade cookies.

The videos with CitationMom in the cockpit are great.
We love Max and glad to see content from both of you
Well that explains a lot ... now I know

@@cdalton3169thanks for the clarification. The initial comment was informative but made it sound like Dad wants someone with Max.
Schmiindy and CitationMax in the same video is wonderful. Two of the best youtube pilots.
Totally!
Love these two in a video together. Always a treat.
I do believe that Schmiiindy earns a "Greased It" badge..... 🙂
Great to see Mindy back. Nothin better than watchin her and Max fly together.
Two professional aviators doing what they love. Great job Mindy!
My favorite phrase for awhile now is "positive rate, gear up" which I use whenever my day gets off to a good start or some weekend checklist chore gets done according to the flight plan.

My favourite two RUclips aviators. Brilliant. Thanks
I was simming on Vatsim and heard Max's voice and call sign one night around Chicago. Was happily surprised.
Always a pleasure to see Schmiiny aboard.

I love that one of the waypoints on the GRINCH arrival is WHOVL.
Double delight, you and Max in one vid but time you got your own jet!

The Cafe at KNEW is amazing.
So awesome. 2x great pilots!
You're flying with the best captain
The terminal there is very unique and the restaurant is excellent. I worked at MSY for 6 years and never visited NEW until I moved to ATL.
Great video, thanks for taking us along.
Enjoyed the flight! Thanks to both of you for uploading; hope to see you soon.
KNEW is my home airport! Thanks for visiting our unique city!

Hah! That would be the ultimate trio!!!!
Great video! Always good to see impeccable aviators in the air together!
Nice windscreen on the mic, Max!

Hey @Schmiiindy, did you guys actually record a meteor shower around 25:01ish? Top left of video.
Knew is always great to fly into and flightline FBO always great service and people!
Nice landing Mindy
Very nice job!
Y’all must be really good friends
Max forgot the bread... Mindy brings the butter !!!
😂🎉😢😮❤
I’m guessing the reroute was because active Warning Areas over the Gulf. I’ve seen Premier1 Driver get similar inland routes to KFMY.
Transporting Citation Dad today.
It's the A team back flying together..hope Max didn't forget the cookie's Mindy?
Thumbs up 👍 Thanks for sharing

Been thinking about you. Wonder about you and Max flying over the weather that’s been bothering the Midwest and the SOUTH.
Very enjoyable
What does Max do for work? I always thought he was going to go fly for the airlines.
His job is flying his dad in the Citation.
Flies his dad’s plane (this one) most of the time professionally…must be a lot better than flying a bus.
@@chrisjohnson6765 Sounds like that would get boring after a couple years of flying the old man around every once in a while. At least it would for me.
@@lenn55 Pretty much what the airline pilots tell me as well. I guess most jobs get to be that way.

Greased!!!!
Do you feel like flying the Citation has made you better when flying Mojo or any single engine prop?
Max, after departure you turned on the yaw dampner/dampener, or did you really turn on the yaw damper? Schmiiindy, which one did he turn on?
Can you explain to me in monitor terms why you repositioned the plane to
Start the second engine ?
Phenomenal! Great video as always!

Let’s not forget Citation Mom!
Next, Mindy flies the Atlas 747 cargo to Hong Kong. :)
Quick question, why do you wait until 14% to open the throttle during startup ? Doesn’t FADEC take care of that ?
You got a new sub
Ÿou kicked butt on this o e
It appears this plane has tiller on both sides of the cockpit?
How did you move before engine start? APU?
Can someone explain why having a tail wind when starting an engine is a bad thing? With the high pressures and temperatures involved I'm missing what the issue is...Thanks. Great video by the way.
I'm not a pilot but I've read that Jets are not normally started with tail winds.

I guess you will not be flying with them anymore?
I am new to the site...are they a married couple...thank you for sharing.
Nope, just copilots & friends 😊
I loved these two flying together on previous videos! Too bad she is married! They work really well together!!
9:10 takeoff
