This is the first video I’ve ever seen about the dip between the natural nail and the extension! THANK YOU! Sometimes the dip is huge. Could you do a whole video on that issue?
I am so happy to hear that you found this helpful! Building the apex and stress area is so important to creating natural, beautiful and strong enhancements. I will add your suggestion of going over this in more detail, to my list of videos to share. Thank you for watching and for your request!
I understand the structure building, it’s the space from the natural nail to the form that dips. The form doesn’t fit snug up against the nail so the product is lower than the natural nail.
@@nanasloves Sorry for the delayed response. Now I understand what you mean. You’ll want to pinch the form into more of a c-curve and push it up more, to meet the bottom of the nail plate completely. I’ll grab a link to a form video that you may find helpful.
It’s an absolute pleasure to watch your videos/ lives your voice give us a sense of calmness which is so helpful when we are learning. Thank you again😊
Hi Maxine. The Gen 2 Zippy has the digital read out, but the Gen 1 does not. They spin at up to 30K, so with the Gen 1, I would aim for approximately 1/3rd of the distance between min & max on the dial. I hope this helps. 😊
I get crazy lifting from the free edge when using jimmygel. I've been using vitaprime and tack underneath, but now I'm wondering if my nails are too weak for vitaprime, and I should just stick with tack. I feel like I don't get the same lifting with 1-step. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Hi Nina. If your nails are very thin and really flexible, you may require more structure for strength and support, when using JimmyGel. JimmyGel is quite flexible, so if the nail is bending repeatedly, this can lead to chipping or cracking. You may need a little bit less flex, so trying an overlay with Extreme Gel may help provide more support for thinner nails. I also recommend Airbond and Tack for this nail type. I hope this helps. 😊
@@darcyolin How different is vitaprime to airborne ??? Can vitaprime be used under Extreme gel, my nails are VERY thin can you advise me on this please, I appreciate your advice. All the way from Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺
Hi @@angiestojanovski1463 VitaPrime is an acid based primer and Airbond is a non acid bonding agent. I would suggest Airbond & Tack and then Extreme Gel for thin nails. Airbond works with water to create a strong bond to the keratin and really helps with bonding gel to thinner nail plates. I hope this helps.
@@darcyolin Thank you so much for your response. I was told to buy vitaprime by my distributor here in Perth so do you think I can use this for now or will it compromise the nails.Thank you once again 🙂
We recommend working in thin layers because it ensures a proper cure of each layer. If building too thick, the light may not be able to penetrate through the gel all the way to the nail plate, which can leave some uncured gel on the surface of the nail. Building in a couple of layers will produce the best long-term results for your clients.😊
Thank you Doreen. You can use Tack if you plan to do fills on the enhancement, it will increase the adhesion. I used QDbase because she wanted to be able to remove the enhancements easily by soaking off, after 2-3 weeks.
I have a really important question. If I use a hema free monomer (kiara sky) and use acrylic powder that I have that’s not the same brand (igel beauty, mia secret) will that still be hypoallergenic? Please I need to know. I want to mix brands but I heard it can give allergies if the acrylic does not cure properly since I’m mixing formulas. But does that still apply with a hema free monomer? Any response please. I just need something.
There is a risk of an improper cure when mixing brands. The systems are formulated to work together to cure properly and give the best result. If using different brands, even when the same "type" of product, you cannot ever be certain of the optimal cure, which will always put you and your clients at risk for over-exposure, which over time, can result in an allergic reaction occurring. Mixing products from different lines is something that should not be done.

Beautiful, I was wondering if you knew about how many services a bottle would do, using this way?
JimmyGel bottles typically last for 17 - 51 applications depending on length of the nail and thickness of application.
Where on the Zippy would you place the dial for 8000 ? Thanks 😊

Can you do one slip layer and dollop or will it leak in the cuticles?
