    Great content Seth. We can only wonder at their thought process and how they 'think' as they go about daily life. Looking forward to seeing your brothers aquariums again. 🍀

    YO RESPECT! I keep my fish in quarantine for 3-4 months to avoid camellanus worms OR I just treat them for camellanus worms for no reason (the dosage is too harsh for most plants).

    Absolute beautiful puffers if you don’t mind me asking how much did you pay per Puffer my local fish stores sell them for 280 apiece would love to see more videos on your puffers

    • @BecauseYourFish
      @BecauseYourFish  3 года назад +2

      Too much haha, just kidding, I’d pay more. Especially for puffers I could go and see, watch them eat and how they interact and see if they are healthy or not and how big they are... My only option at this time is online. 200 for the first one and 220 each for the others but that doesn’t include shipping. Thanks for watching and take care!

    So the one you gave to your brother- was that the one floating at the top in the beginning? Just wondering because I am having similar situation with my 2 but am hoping the tank upgrade and 3 rd puffer addition solves that

    • @BecauseYourFish
      @BecauseYourFish  3 года назад +2

      Yes. It was the puffer that took to floating at the surface and stopped eating. It displayed the same behavior when I put all 3 together so I moved it to my brother’s house to live without other puffers at least until it’s grown out a bit. I think as long as the fish keep eating you should be ok but I’ve seen puffers starve smaller ones out. I hope your issue resolves. Good luck and thanks!

      It’s a mix of fluval stratum and course black sand. The stratum is placed in the back and the sand poured over. Thanks

    How are they getting along with the hillstream loaches? I want to have few of them in my 33g long with a shoal of dwarf puffers. Would love to know what's your opinion on that, if that's a good idea.

    • @BecauseYourFish
      @BecauseYourFish  3 года назад +1

      Hi, my schoutedeni puffer does great with hillstream loaches. The loaches breed and seem to do well. I have kept a single pea puffer with a single hillstream loach but it is a timid puffer. It could work out just fine but it could also go badly. I can tell you that hillstreams are very difficult to catch so if it’s not working it might be difficult to move to a “plan B.” However, the only way to know is to try. :)

      @@BecauseYourFish do you think my 20 long is cycled it has 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and nitrate is around 5 cycled for about a week and a half and i have spotted congo puffer in cycled with stability and api fish flakes

    • @BecauseYourFish
      @BecauseYourFish  3 года назад

      @@alexp7824 hard to know for sure. It sounds cycled. If I was concerned I would feed lightly, maybe once every 2 days and slowly build up from there. I noticed that these fish have high waste loads. I would get nitrite spikes at first and spend much time changing water. I recommend testing regularly for the first few months you get one just to be safe. And then back to a “normal” amount of testing once it’s settled in. Let me know if you ever need some advice. I’m no vet and no professional but happy to give my experiences out to help others! Thanks again!
