This was a great example of executing a unique artistic vision in movie form. The director (I don't remember their name) is able to blend both a masterful "slice of life" script with the odd feeling of some kind of Irish folk tale. The cinematography is top notch too, whoever was behind the camera captured what I imagine the feel of rural Ireland is like. I felt the wet chill of rainy Irish mornings and could almost smell the wet cobbles, the decaying stench of farm animals, and salty seaside air of Inisherin. Definitely one of the better movies of the last 20 years and I think it will be regarded as a modern masterpiece amongst film buffs down the line, if it isn't already.
next movie night we should watch this!

Even though it was my third favorite film of 2022, for some feckin' (😆) reason it was just so memorable to where I just love watching clips of it and from it was how I found this vid. Like man I definitely agree with everything you've said about it; probably should give it a rewatch because I was invested to where I personally didn't find it humorous. Also that ending was just so powerful with how serious it got. Really great vid and if you've enjoyed this, you should also watch his other films especially Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, that one has got to be one of my all time favorites!

And the end you have not talked about it. i think at the end even after all of this when colm asks shall we call it an end. padriac said he is not gonna let this go and they showed like they have a friendly conversation. and wrapped it up. but i think colm dies after that, black woman said when this all will be over there may be two deaths. one is dominic and the other one i think it is colm yes they showed like they had a friendly conversation but colm talked nicely to padriac before he cut off his fingers too. i think colm clearly understands padriac will never stop. and also when the movie ended you can see the black woman sitting on the cliff. she is the one saw the dead dominic and showed him to his father, so may maybe she knows colm will do sucide in the beach so only she was waiting .
