So nice to see there are some excellent panel beaters and sprayers out there . I’m a van owner and it’s very common that most body shops attitude is it’s just a van mate ! I treat my van like I would a 40k jag or bmw . Excellent repair with no filler shadows etc it’s to see someone doing a high standard of work regardless of what the vehicle is 👍
Your welcome mate I’ve had accident damage repairs done on a few of my vans over the years and especially large panels that require filler always stood out nice to see it can be done properly with time and skill
Reminds me of one I did in almost the same two spots a few years ago but it was made harder with it being black gloss you know yourself with black any tiny marks no matter how small shout out at you the first time I did it I had two tiny pin marks so flated it out the second coat was better, you've done a nice job as always mate
Another first-class video of a top-quality job. It's much appreciated as always but I can't help feeling concerned that you're not resting like you should be!
Firstly mate Thankyou and I am mate I uploaded this weeks ago fella and have a lot already edited and uploaded incase I abs a busy few weeks then I had some videos ready but as I’m taking it easy this next few weeks they have filled the gap here instead so don’t worry mate I’m not mad editing atm the opposite infact
You certainly know how to work the metal Tony, it looked spot on before you started the filling stage, blend was invisible as always, great job mate and looking forward to your block review 🤗🙏👍
Tbh mate I’d never really blend one to a Boot lid is just try to use the absolute best Match I could , I could do a video on it if one came In but the chances are massively slim mate I’m afraid
Thanks Scott and not to bad mate , trick is to colour the area first then drop your pressure right down on the blends and drop coats so you don’t get that dark line

Hope your getting back on track Tony🤞quick question what size compressor would u recommend for home use that can run air tools and spray guns without stopping 🤞
Good health wise but aBit crap in myself mate today had a load of tests today and they think it was a minor stroke so gotta go for another barrage of tests next week now 🙄
@@TonysRefinishingTV 17 yrs ago mate I had a cerebel embolism which is nearly the same as a stroke !!the tests are to make sure you get the right treatment 17 yrs on and I'm still working driving and doing everything a normal person does put that bad feeling to bed mate all will be good 😊😊
@@TonysRefinishingTV you can say that my man it's your body's way of telling you to slow down get an apprentice on board to do all the donkey work under your tuition of course !! Take some pressure off yourself a 17 18yr old would cream his pants with an offer like that 😊
Nice repair. The thing I don't like about spotter repaired panels is all the pimples raised by spotter, which then get sanded to tissue paper thickness or in some cases break through panel completely. I'm not saying that happened in this case though. That's only thing putting me off from buying a spotter. Anyone else noticed some VW seem to use a clear lacquer which has a slight aged or amber tint that normal clear doesn't have, this makes the new silver look slightly lighter as this quarter does compared to back doors? Maybe it's just my imagination or an optical illusion Lol.
Tbh mate this vans about ten shades so we did the best we could to match it up so it looked spot on to the side , and the spotters also have a shrink attachment so you can pull the highs back down mate if you need to but on this they were only slight once I’d done so sanding was fine
@@TonysRefinishingTV good stuff mate im using the optima medium filler its a made by upol and is the exact same as the premium dolphin filler some stuff
@DrivewayAutoBody I disagree as it appears to be an 8" disc which is indicative of a "Mud Hog." I know of no 8" DA's (or more accurately random orbit sanders.) He did call it a rotary and not random orbit.
I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY THE VIDEO THIS IS ONE I EDITED A WEEK OR TWO BACK SO ENJOY AND IL SOON BE DOING A REVIEW ON THESE BLOCKS

Great job not easy to do especially LA7W
Thanks mate used a wet bed just incase as it can be a pain for dark blends this stuff
Wont the rust come back? Also dont you have to spray the whole side door all after
Your definitely a Wizzzzzard when it comes to blending silver paint.
Lol tbh I don’t find silvers hard mate easy enough if you follow the basics
Dare I say this was a SMASHING repair? ;)
Haha see what you did there mate lol 😂

150 litre 14cfm buddy I wouldn’t really recommend less , you may get away with a 100 litre for home use , and slowly mate but getting there
