    Good to see you back. Hope you’ve been keeping well. Enjoyed your April tour - thank you. You have some really lovely shrubs. I very much liked your camellia. It looks fantastic and brings a big splash of colour at this time of year, something we need after the grey and drabness of a British winter. I also liked your new edging and think it looks great that way round. Let’s hope for some decent weather soon so we can be out in and enjoying the garden.

      Thanks very much for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it, you cant beat a Camellia this time of year. The new edging is great . It is easy to install and is flexible.

    Lovely garden! Thanks for the info on the fungal issue from the humidity. We have a lot of humidity as well so good info. I love garden tours! Only thing I’ve posted my own channel because they’re my favorite thing to watch!

      thanks very much for watching. garden tours are great to watch, You can see combinations that give you ideas. I must admit it’s hard to keep finding something new to put on video.

    I've been watching all of your older videos. I've subscribed and love watching this walled garden evolve over time!
    In regards to the space you showed at 2:40... I know you said you didn't know what to do with it so was going to make a patio there... If you wanted to though you could build a pond there. During the summer the water will help cool the microclimate of that area. You will also benefit from frogs as they will protect your plants from slugs so you can get more plants like primulas in the future. Water sources are great for wildlife and I think your garden would really benefit from a wildlife pond.

    Great to see the tour mate. Superb palmage. My butias have done ok this winter but I'm a little drier on the north east coast. Love the edging on the lawn. Mahonia is super also. The patio idea is a great one. Enjoy the sunshine and put your feet up 🍻. Cheers

      Thanks again for watching mate, yes the Spots on the Butia are annoying, I hope it puts out a lot of new growth this year to compensate.

    Wonderful, Spring is such a fab time your garden is looking great and we've only just come out of Winter. The new edging looks very smart I like that you turned it it's very neat and your new patio area will be a lovely place to sit and admire all your hard work, your garden is really lovely I do look forward to your videos and the longer shots are lovely to see and appreciate the size etc. We moved end of Nov last year so we have a lot of work to do in the garden, the garden truck was bigger than the furniture trucks but the movers were brilliant and very strong it all arrived in the garden unharmed including an arbour! haha

      Thanks very much for watching, the edging is great as it was so easy to install and can be adapted as it made of rubber. It sounds like you have a very exciting project ahead in your new garden.

    Glad to see you back, your garden is lovely. I bought some heucheras after watching some of your earlier vlogs I'm trying to achieve year round interest.

      @@mywalledgarden I’ve just lost some of my heucheras due to vine weevils. I was gutted 😭

      Oh no! I saw them in my old property but not yet in this garden, I just hope they will clear off for you, sometimes you don’t know if you have a problem with a certain pest until you plant their favourite plant in your garden, I’m sick of lily beetles at the moment.

    Looks great! How about some annuals in that corner, maybe some pots or even a little veg patch?

      hi Thanks, Annuals or pots would work, I had noticed it is a great corner for sitting early evening when it gets cooler.

    Hello! Just subscribed! I really like the edging you've used and I have a question about it... As you have 'turned it around', do you still have to use a strimmer? If so, does it damage the edging?

    • @mywalledgarden
      @mywalledgarden  2 года назад +1

      Good question, I have not tried a strimmer yet as am yet to replace my old one. I have literally got down and cut it right round with scissors after mowing. According to the company website it is robust enough to handle strimmers but I can’t comment. I actually started installing it the other way round and then turned it the opposite way out of interest. in my opinion it just looked better.
