@@DreamWithCaroline hi Caroline, thank you so much and thank you so much for subscribing to my channel. I really appreciate that. The garden is definitely a work in progress but I’m really enjoying it. 🥰🏴
Hi, your petunias look really nice in that border. I think it's the cooler temperatures rather than their move that's made you think they've changed. They look a lot better than mine which seemed to change overnight. I'm clinging on to them for a few more days only because I'm lazy and don't want to get the ladder out to reach the brackets that they're hanging on! The Rudbeckia and Begonias are lovely. I like anything yellow. I go in my garden nearly every day and I had a little robin following me around for over an hour and it even came to the garden waste bin with me. They say a robin is the sign of a loved one but my brother told me not to be so bloody stupid! Definite nip in the air now but September is often nice weatherwise. Hope you got your car fixed.
@@wendybartlett6717 Hi Wendy, I totally agree with you regarding the robin. My husband was at work in a warehouse and would you believe that one actually landed on his shoulder. His sister had passed a few months before that. I think you are probably right regarding the petunias, I have really enjoyed them and will definitely be getting them again next year. I also love yellow in the garden, that Rudbeckia just never seems to fail me. It’s always lovely. I’m going to cling on to the blooms as long as I possibly can. I’m getting excited for planting spring bulbs but I will need to clear out some pots for them. Thank you again for watching and taking time from your day to comment 🥰. I hope you are having a good week ☺️
@@aboutthegarden Sorry for the loss of your sister-in-law. She must've been so young when she died. I'm sure that the robin landing on your husband's shoulder was a comforting thing. I don't know where mine has gone the last three days. Perhaps he's sulking as I've not had a lot of time in the garden this week. I'm usually in it every day. I've been busy driving my dad here, there and everywhere as he had a small crash in his car and his insurance company said rather than get the car mended, they'd write it off as it was over ten years old. I thought we were supposed to be saving the planet! Sorry to hear about your car too. I wasn't expecting to hear that and just assumed it would've been mended. Have a great weekend but I expect Saturdays are busy for you in work.
@@wendybartlett6717 thank you 🙏. I’m sure your robin will be back once you get the chance to get out there regular again. Sometimes life just takes over for a while. We have an old runaround car for now so I’m grateful for that. Hopefully next year we will think about a newer one. I hope your dad is ok after the crash in his car. Even small ones give you a fright. X
@@TheBeginnerGardener aw thank you so much Rich, that’s so lovely of you to say. That’s a really good idea , I think I’d really like to do that. Thank you so much for watching and taking time to leave a lovely comment ☺️
@@davidberrell4725 Oh, that’s so funny 😬. I have been looking at that the last few times I’ve been to the garden centre. I might need to get one, it does look lovely. Thank you so much for that, it’s much appreciated. ☺️
@@helentelford4301 Hi Helen, I have just googled about the eucalyptus and you are absolutely right. I probably should have googled it before I put it in 🙈 I’m going to dig it out in the next few days. Hopefully it will fit in a big pot. I don’t think my garden is big enough to put it in the ground. Thank you so much for that advice. Thank you, I have been so pleased with my dahlias this year. I’m hoping to save the tubers but we’ve had a huge amount of rain lately so i will need to see how they are looking first. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave this very helpful comment 🥰
Lovely selection of plants 🪴I am sure the eucalyptus will do ok in a big pot xx

Ps, the car is away to the scrap yard. Unfortunately the timing belt broke and wasn’t worth fixing.

Your garden is amazing!
IDEA: Will you do a monthly "Buy and plant this plant this month" to help inspire me?

@@aboutthegarden I would certainly learn and because it's just one plant paper month I'd be able to justify going and buying one 🌿.
A plant that might work in your shady spot is astratia? It has a lovely pincushion flowers that come in burgundy, pinks and white.

Your eucalyptus tree may be too near your house. They can damage foundations. Love the dahlias.
