- Hiya, in this video I am taking you around my small garden in late July. As a beginner gardener I am always learning and this year in particular has been a real learning curve. I have came across so many more garden pests than ever before. I think I’ve had them all! Of course the slug and snail pressure has been unbelievable. I am so happy though to see that after our fairly rotten summer here in Scotland, things are finally starting to bloom. Anyway, enough of my rambling, I hope you enjoy seeing everything and I hope you are having a good day.

Your garden is looking great. Those Hydrangeas are stunning and I think they've liked all the rain this year. I really like the Sunflowers with the multiple heads. I'll have to look out for those next year. Nice to have your dad's rose. It's a lovely colour. My mum died five years ago and I've got a few of her cuttings dotted around the garden. I always like the things that people have given me over the years. I'm really excited as I'm going to David Austin's in Shropshire when we're on holiday next week. My "wants" list is getting bigger and bigger. I've told the family that they could be walking home as there'll be no room in the car! Have a great weekend.
Aw wow, I can only imagine what you will be like at David Austin’s. How exciting, yip I think everyone else will need to hitchhike after being there 🤣.
I really love the rose from my Dad, I can’t believe how long they live, especially since that one has been pretty much neglected until last year. It is so nice to have cuttings from your mum’s garden, how special!
Regarding that sunflower, I think I’m going to pinch a few early on next year and see if I can replicate the slugs handy work 🙈. I think I’m going to try and plan the plants better next year and have them more organised. It’s hard to stick to just a few 😬. Thanks so much again for watching, I’m so glad you like the flowers in my garden xx
Your garden is beautiful, thanks for sharing ❤
@@alejandradlove thank you so much and thanks for watching 🥰
Your garden is looking beautiful!
@@lyntivenan4441 thank you so much, that’s so lovely of you to say 🥰
Wow!😍 ( I’m playing catch-up, been slacking on my subs😅 ) but how beautiful is the new path with all the flowers along it!! Your potting bench looks so lovely against the shed too, I really like the weathered wood look. I’m guilty of wanting all the plants other people are growing too😅 I feel like a plant hoarder!😆
Aw thank you so much, I really do love my path. It’s been just dirt for so long, I can’t believe it’s finally done. I’m so happy with my potting bench, it’s just the perfect height for me thankfully and even better that it was from scraps. I’ve always been a bit hesitant to show the shed as it really needs some tlc but hopefully soon. It used to be the playhouse so has been neglected for the last few years. I’m with you on hoarding plants 🙈. Thanks so much for watching and also leaving a lovely comment again. 🥰
Your garden is wonderful.❤
@@XXTERIA aw thank you so much, that’s lovely of you to say 🥰
@@aboutthegarden hi.Thank you too.I wish you success.💝
My poor gladioli gets snailed like that too but they survive. Are the raspberries in a pot? If not they will take over 😮 the area. I am new to growing dahlias this year and they are addicting 😂😂 like I need an excuse. My lupins are insanely tiny. Will you try propagating the Annabelle hydrangea? Your garden is looking absolutely stunning and I love a lily 😂😂 or 10. Have a wonderful weekend, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
@@myrustygarden aw poor gladioli, hopefully mine will flower ok. I had ones that i hated for years but they came back year after year without any care from me. The ones I nurse along seem to do so much worse. My lupins were really small but the one I put in a big pot has done really good. I already have a cutting from the white Annabelle that I took maybe September last year year. It’s really small but relatively healthy. I’m wary of doing much with it just now incase it dies. The pink Invincibelle Spirit Annabelle, I’d love to take some cuttings but there aren’t any branches without blooms yet so I can maybe try that in the autumn. Thank you so much for watching and leaving me such a lovely comment, it really makes me happy. I hope you have a lovely weekend 🥰
Ps I have lots of different coloured nasturtiums 😂😂 of course I do I can never have one kind
@@myrustygarden they are the one thing that’s really been taking off on my garden. Do you have pink ones, my seed packet was for pink but they are most definitely red? 😬
@@aboutthegarden I have a variety called Alaska Salmon I believe it’s a pink one
@@myrustygarden oh, I’ll need to have a look for those for next year. Thank you ☺️
Hi, could you tell me the name of the blue hydrangea? Thank you.
Hi 😊. I’m not sure of the exact name I’m afraid. I only know that it is a lace cap variety. 🐌
