The SFM Animation community animation feels separate from other animation communities. Usually, you’d have to start from scratch in animation, but SFM gives you pre-set and dynamic material to work with.
Well, SFM requires a lot of practice, determination, and a shit ton of patience. I could just sit my ass off making an SFM poster for 3 days every week and the progress will eventually starts to show. And yeah, if the idea don't work, don't be afraid to dump it and start all over again.
It’s bad when I’m struggling to use SFM when it’s literally the easiest/baseline animating software out there. My mind still can’t grasp the concept of what joints/bones control what, so 9 times out of 10, I end up contorting the body in ways it shouldn’t be.
First time using sfm. It took me 3 months, 2 - 4 hours a day to create 6 minutes of animation with about 14 characters throughout the shots. I wish there was a way to make it a hell lot faster.
Animation is it’s own field. The more you do it the faster it’ll take. But also the more you do it the more you realize how much longer you actually needed to take.
Compared to MMD (MikuMikuDance), I found it much easier to animate in Souce Filmmaker. In MMD, you have to do several complicated things to make the movement more fluid.

+Davekillerish the video is for people who are looking into making art but aren't sure if they can since most people can't commit to long term art skills and that sfm is a easy and fun way to express their creative side in a much shorter amount of time as long as they follow general rules and get inspired by others. @@cassette7347 Do you know you replied to a 5 months old comment? Also, what if i meant i can actually make scout T-pose? Are you trying to make yourself look clever?

What do you think about other image editors like Paint.NET, GIMP and Krita? Are they better in any aspects comparing to Photoshop? I'm currently on Paint.NET and I find it nearly comfortable to make the posters almost like this. But I'm interested to see the differences in comparison.
I have used Krita for a long time, before colliding it with Photoshop, i can say that it's pretty good drawing textures, revamping low poly models, and stuff. with the help of a drawing tablet of course.

Although if you want something more complex and don’t care about how hard it is to figure out try blender. Also free but its a bit intimidating.
I learned it on my Summer break, and continued to work on it on the weekends during school.
