    I bought one of those Wagners years ago for my cabinet making business. It stopped working after about 30 gallons of paint. The rep told me that's about it, he said most people only use them a few times. Wall looks awesome!

    I know the pains of not having a hammer drill. I gave in and borrowed one to get a concrete job done and it just cut through the cinder block like butter. You can probably use the privacy fence posts to hang a sail shade. Very nice project!

      Do you think you can rent a hammer drill at Lowe's or Home Depot?

    • @g-wolf9445
      @g-wolf9445 3 года назад +1

      @@sylviaamado6777 Lowe's has contracts with some companies that rent out construction and landscaping equipment. These companies are usually co-located with a Lowe's store. I'm not sure about Home Depot. There are plenty of home and garden tool rental stores depending on where you live.

      Did you stain the back of the horizontal boards? I noticed in one of the close ups, the topsides of several looked unstained. If they’re not treated for exterior and unstained/not sealed, they’ll be more likely to rot.

    LOL.
    So many things that have to be touched upon.
    Attaching wood slats to an existing cement block wall is not building a privacy fence. This title misleads people who are actually looking for instructions on how to actually build a privacy fence. This is nothing more than adding a decorative element to an existing crumbling wall.
    At the very least you should have added some sort of hydro cement to all of the cracks in that old wall before you painted it. The wall should have probably been rebuilt but in a case where it's not your wall or you don't have the money beautifying it is fine.
    It looks like you didn't use pressure treated wood so expected to rot fairly quickly because of the sun exposure and the fact that you didn't even bother to paint the ends to protect and seal the wood.
    I get that you're not a professional but unless you're going to take the time to do a job right then don't give advice to others, who may be misled into thinking you actually know what you're doing.
