I ABSOLUTELY LOVED playing this mini-game! I remember swimming behind the sea turtle in the Indian Ocean level and having it go into the ruins with me, same with the seal into the pirate ship in the Atlantic Ocean level. I was even able to successfully retrieve the pearl from the clam
For anyone wondering what happens if your air tank hits the red, Arthur will start saying, “Hey, you’re running out of air. If you have to stop, tap a letter on your keyboard.” If you either waste time or get attacked by a sea creature and the needle goes down more into the red, a game over sound will go off and the diver will start levitating upward. The screen will stay on the spot where you were before you ran out of air without the diver present since he floated upward, then Arthur will say “You ran out of air.” Then you will start over from the beginning of the level.
@@Quietworld43 if you waste time and run out of air or if you get attacked numerous times by the sea creatures and lose air that way, that’s when he drowns after when the needle gets into the red.
Yep, I know that from experience. The Atlantic and Pacific Ocean levels scared the poop out of me as a kid! So, I would try and stay close to the top. Unfortunately, I soon realized I couldn’t pass the levels unless I traversed through the deep, dark parts.
@@Quietworld43 even as a kid I I'd purposely do that because I would love watching the death that's also another thing some of the realm deep sea levels or if you swam down deeper to explore like I would were super scary also. Lol
As kid playing this in the 2000s it was so cool to me that this is a game within a game that you can actually play. Imagine if the Simpsons Hit and Run made you play BoneStorm 2 somewhere within that game.
Even as a kid I remember how ear rapey the treasure music was. Arthur would always scream “AWESOME YOU FOUND THE ANCIENT-“ *BOOM* Music destroys my ears but the memories are great.
Did anyone else remember this game out of nowhere after 20 years?
I do
@@johncohagen2793 that's lit bro. I'm playing Super Mario 64 rn lol
Yes.... and Freddy Fish, reader rabbit...
Yes
yup
i was terrified as a kid to play the harder maps. the dark areas scared me
Me too. I still felt it a little bit when I saw the deep sea fish 😂
Would it be cool if arthur's computer adventure was made into an app just like other living books games.
I’d prefer they appeared on a PC gaming service like Steam.
I just thought 2 myself this should become a theatrically released _movie_
Perfect game for an app

I Remembered Playing This Game When I Was In Elementary School
I always loved how at the end of each level you get your eardrums blown out as a reward :)
Was reminded of this while watching Subnautica clips. Those deep dark regions instilled a similar fear to kid me 🥲

Whenever I played the Atlantic Ocean or Pacific Ocean level, I mostly stay above the sea level.
Same! Those fish scared the crap out of me! Unfortunately, I couldn’t pass the levels until I faced them.
Surprisingly enough is that I'm a huge fish fan, so I'm not scared of those fishes one bit
Anyone else get scared by this as a kiddo
I did!
@@avalasialove How?
Same. When I reached the deepest part just for the first time, I quickly tried to find a quit key on the keyboard in panic! xD
OH MY GOD
It's too bad no one mentioned the seal in the game and how it'll give you an air tank
This game needs a remake
I remember playing this game in preschool.
Ah, childhood memories!
Man I have memories playing through these mini games as a kid. I treated them like they were an actual minigame at age 6-7
I Member Was Playing Deep Dark Sea At Farias Elementary School I Went Ms. Moreno's Class When How Was 6 Years Old
2:04 I don't understand why the sound cripples when playing on a Windows XP.

Yo, since I don't think it's on YT, you should upload all of the gifts from the mystery game in "Arthur's Birthday" :)
I'll try to do that this monday.
