    I never knew you could just change how a ship/station looks like that with saved templates. I spent hours trying to move these damn things. Beautiful. Thank you so much.

    If you're dumb like me, you can also just face your tug in the direction of your desired sector and dock with an unclaimed asteroid that way. They're so massive that your ship will be barely able to move, but if it has enough thrusters the autopilot can steer it the rest of the way toward the jump point ; besides which, the added bulk strangely seems to have no impact on hyperspace engine charge energy.
    Only thing to bear in mind is that taking a colossal rock into empty space makes it no longer empty, meaning the hyperspace cooldown bonus is voided : make sure your tug is strong enough to keep interlopers at bay, or bring an escort.
    Or, just keep doing what you're doing, since you seem to be doing pretty well already :P
    [All jokes aside, thank you for making this video, if only because seeing the title made me realize this is now possible]

      Glad to know it's helpful. Don't worry I did it the "dumb way" a few times before the idea popped into my head.

    Thank you so much for this. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why i couldn't hyperjump with my tow ship just to figure out i just need to give it a dock and not the station to move it.

    very helpful video.i salute you sir!
    i´m playing on insane difficulty right now and it is simply not possible to protect all the mines i need for my turret-production... i mean you can protect them somehow,but that will be pretty much all you´re doing for the rest of the game.

    Why wouldnt a public server not want you to move asteroids after you claimed them?

    is there a reason to build this setup in an empty sector? like wouldn't being in a high relations sector at least help ur defenses?

    • @deadmemegamming
      @deadmemegamming  Год назад +4

      building in an area with NPC stations and ships can be helpful vs pirates. You can even set up cargo routes to their stations and make easy money. After awhile to many stations will cause performance troubles. This makes me want my own sectors.

      @@ghbytdsrfhbduring my current play through I built a mine completely of Green material) gave it integrity field generators, shields and weapons in a sector by itself and while I was doing finishing touches a pirate incursion happened a couple times & yeah, the second they came into range they maybe lasted 10sec - 20max. You can exceed ship founding limits by capturing enemy vessels I gave them an overhaul and they were perfectly capable of holding their own

    02:08 Could you clarify something, if i have an Alliance, do i need to be allied with some one and have allied NPC sit there with Captain in "Attack enemies" command? Or can i be in An Alliance by myself. with a ship with a captain "attack all enemies" to keep the System "loaded" and running at 100% speed? instead of 25%? Please clarify this with mutch detail and be specific in your reply. i dont want just an yes/no answer. i want Detailed answer how the system works so i get better understanding how the system/game works with this kind of thing

    If you are running in SP does the supply chain keep running while your in other sectors?

    • @deadmemegamming
      @deadmemegamming  Год назад

      only so many sectors are loaded at one time, you can change it in the config I believe the default is 10. So if you don't go above that they should keep going.

    Looks like you could enter the asteroid as a ship, why not just fly it yourself to wherever you want it? Also does it make a difference that it is designed like a mine or whatever?

    • @TracedPanda
      @TracedPanda Год назад +1

      Stations can't be flown around like ships, but you can put them in "Transport Mode" and dock it to your ship. Note that the bigger the station the more power needed for your ship to move it, so I suggest building a small cube initially to move it where you want it. Then you can build it however you like, bigger/better.
      Making it look like a mine or anything else does not affect production, but more cargo bays can allow for more storage between traders coming to buy from you.
      Making stations out of rocks can be beneficial in terms of cost, and when pirates/aliens attack they won't do much damage to the stone portions of your station which can be a big help as well.
