Yo man not sure how active you are but all of your tutorials for this game have been super informative and helpful even if a tad out of date. I appreciate the effort
Don't forget that the size of the object is very important. If you have one item that I 500 credits with a volume of one and another that is one hundred with a volume of 0.01. Do the math. You have ten small objects taking up space that one object would in your cargo hold. One for 500 or ten for 1000 (10x+100). Don't just look at the price per unit. I sort by smallest first then look at the most valuable listed. Once I figured this out my credit total exploded. Grav units sold to noble mines made me billions and funded everything else in the game I wanted to try. find a site with multitle grav unit factories and sell to a site with multiple noble mines.
I found a nice little trade path in the world im in. Was buying Anti-Grav units and selling those, then taking body armor and Power units back to the Anti-grav factory's sector. Sell the armor to the military facility and the units to the anti-grav factory to make more anti-grav units. Ive since stopped that since I have built 3 factories and they have made me like 60-70 million so far.
So it's an Epic trade chip that shows supply/demand areas on the galaxy map! I had seen the map before and was thinking it was a modded thing. Good to know. I have a yellow (exp) chip and it just shows the sp/dm the for the sector i'm in. haven't found a better 1 so i'm going to collect/buy as many low level trade chip as poss and take them to a research station. Need that chip for mine/factory placement. I really wish the trade route table told you how much stock the station was willing to take, i have been left with a full cargo hold of stuff cause i couldn't offload it. And no, I don't think your rambling :) I think there good guides for both beginners and more experienced players a like so keep them up! iv'e subbed for more!
I hope the below points help answer your questions when it comes to station building. • Understand the market. • Location, Location, Location! • Set your sell price to match or uncut competition. • Cargo Space. • Shields. • Increase manufacturing lines to maximize production. • Defence weapons or defence force to protect your asset. • If you are building a home sector you could build a salvaging ship to clean up after each battle you have with pirates. • Have Realistic Expectations. • Supply Chain Management is a real life skill and understand your customer’s needs. • Have a Supply Chain Strategy. • Design your own Supply Chain network, start simple and learn from it then grow from there.
Could I make a non-alliance ship and fix prices for metal plate from 11% to +30? and how would I know the right stations/how far? I destroyed every metal plate factory nearby but there is still +14 demand and +12 in supply. Thank you!
Sorry for late reply just seen the comment. Did reloging into the game fix the prices for you? Even if you fill that demand it will drop off over time unless you make something like a steel factory yourself to keep the demand high.
Gary, I appreciate you, I appreciate your video and the knowledge that you're sharing! Thank you! But please... there's no 'n' in turret. It's not pronounced turrent. Thank you!
Do you think it is a must to get a legendary trading chip to make the most out of trading? I got to midgame-ish. I have no artifacts but I know I can likely get some, and I have 1 ship with 8k cargo and a range of about 15-17 in jumps.
@@epyjacek normally i would stay away from low volume items but if there is a damand I won't pass it up. High volume expensive items seem to always turn to good profit even if the margins are smaller. Tools, body armor just off the top of my head.

Excellant!!! Now we need a 2.0 update video for trading! With new content like fleet up orders ;)

How to automate?
Good stuff Gary. Not quite ready to start trading yet, but plan too! So quadrant maps also show the stations? Now that is nice!
subbed...

No you can get away with lower tier trading systems. I just got lucky with the one I was using in this video.
@@gary0073 do you suggest a particular item or items for trade that will provide better margins?
