Apparently the new Crowns and Dreamlines will ship with the new magazine system where the top comes off the magazine for easier loading. I searched high and low for this information and it was not available or found by me at the time of filming.. Sorry for any confusion on this.
I love everything about the Dreamline, first of the accuracy is amazing up to 50 meters with standard 10Joule in .177. Stacking pellet in pellet at 30 meters. Its not an Impact for almost 2000 EUR, its not a Crown for 1500. Its a Dreamline Lite and it cost 950ish, really felt I purchased a premium rifle when I got mine and I recommend it to anyone! Thanks for the review, cant agree on everything in this world :)
Great review! I am just researching which PCP I want and a nice walnut classic Dreamline came up on sale so I stopped and watched it. Very thorough. The DXreamline platform looks like a great unit for those who want to play with their toys as well as use them accurately as well. Thank you for this insightful detailed review and keep up the good work!
Thank you for taking the time to provide your views about this rifle. I’m new to Airguns, and very very excited about it...(more excited than I am financially ready unfortunately LOL!) BUT THANK YOU! GOT MY EYES ON THIS RIFLE!
Thanks for the wise advice about the box full of costly LEGO pieces. I have thought of this as well and will be watching and waiting a long while. The new power plenum is a prime example of what I mean. I will wait till Freddy is done playing around and settles on just a couple that stand out and the majority rave the most about. Thanks again.
Great honest review. I can see what you are saying about buying extras. I would stick to the version that was easiest to shoot and hold. If i got the different stock I would most likely only use 1.
Went out to see what could buy with my refunded holiday money, and returned with a fx dreamline classic 5.5 mm. so light to shoulder, fantastic trigger. I love the mag, holds eighteen shots and all you do is turn the lid quarter turn load replace lid and lock. I found it hard to miss with this rifle, which is strange because I have plenty of experience in missing lol
Good points Steve about buying all the attachments / options and then settling on one configuration and the rest of the parts being left on a shelf. Lovely bit of kit though. If only it were easier to change things around and have it already zero'd in the new configuration. Auto config' / auto zero / that's what will come eventually. Just joined a local club and a couple of the members knew you when I mentioned your channel. Looking forward to getting along there regularly, I've been busy with my wife's medical stuff and daughters wedding. Great idea with the website and 3d printing etc. All good stuff mate, keep it up.
Thanks buddy and blush, people are starting to know me :) You can get around this if you plan ahead and mark your scope (depending on scope) with the correct POI's for .177 and .22. It is a bit hit and miss and you will still need to POI / Zero when swapping, but you can make it quicker.
Totally agree about the cassette style magazines, how can the pellet acting as a spring stop every shot not damage them? The Daystate/Brocock/Evanix/JKhan style mags are really the way to go. New Steyr mag is even better, separating the spring system from the loading method!
Thanks Steve for a really good and informative video, extra usefull for me since i been thinking maybe to buy the Dreamlite for benching and FT, thanks again Mate . greetings from FX Country

At last a sensible review of this rifle system! It has struck me that FX have hit upon a great way to minimise their production and stock management systems whilst producing the perfect product for middle aged men with an addiction to gadgets and too much disposable income. Personally I want to pick up a rifle and shoot it with the same POA as when I last put it away. I don't have the time to muck about with calibre changes and re-zeroing, let alone spending even more money on different stocks, bottles, rails etc. If you have money, time and patience to burn then fine, go ahead. I will just buy different rifles for different jobs or styles of shooting.
Great review do you think for a left-hander this would be a suitable choice even though you cannot change the cocking lever to the other side, even though I’m a left-handed shooter I actually find the cocking lever on that side easier to use than if it was on the left side
Nice vid Steve ... many valid points. I got mine back in may and it came with the sideshot mag which threw me at 1st as i'd only seen vids of the Dreamline with the standard mag. I made a slight mistake due to information not being found at the time of recording. See the pinned post about the new magazine system they are releasing. Still stupidly expensive and a cop out if you ask me. Now you take the top off, slot in the pellets and put the top back on. All this does is avoid pellets not falling in correctly as they can't get their manufacturing tolerances correct this this style of mag.

@@airgunology Hi, I searched alot for getting this gun by google. But here in pakistan no any dealer to provide me this gun or understand me the way that i get this gun.
Think I’d still have an impact. At least then you can convert the magazine fittings over to the new type. That one has the magazine under the scope with metal underneath. So no chance of using anything else. At least the impact has the magazine at the butt end without anything under it.
as long as people realise that if they buy the tactical version, it doesn't come with a butt stock! really it doesn't, you have to buy a buffer and the butt seperatley .. madness

A little cynical, but there is some truth in it. It definitely works in FX favour and reduces cost and that is good for the customer. As long as they are wise about their purchases and are happy, it is good.

Still stupidly expensive and a cop out if you ask me. Now you take the top off, slot in the pellets and put the top back on. All this does is avoid pellets not falling in correctly as they can't get their manufacturing tolerances correct this this style of mag.
Ware can i get a copy of the manual.. in pdf form
Please
Google my friend, that is where I would start
If this rifle made a love child with a Red Wolf Super Model - it would still be ugly!!
hahaha
What scope is on the impact in the back?
Can .177 is good for small game

Hi,
I searched alot for getting this gun by google.
The Dreamline will soon come with the new magazine from FX
Sangat istimewa sekali kawan
as long as people realise that if they buy the tactical version, it doesn't come with a butt stock! really it doesn't, you have to buy a buffer and the butt seperatley .. madness
Getting sick of all these ads!
Unfortunately something has to be accepted for free content to you the viewer.
In the price you wrote £ 1100 or you meant 1100$ 🤔
I am UK based and so UK pounds.
FX Dreamline - Jack of all trades and master of none of them - why keep it simple when you can over complicate matters!!
True, I have that feeling too. Good for FX and production, but is it for the customer ????
David Routh Why is it over complicated giving people choice? If you don’t want the extra bits don’t buy them.
Don’t like fx guns. Cheap handle grip. The gauge stuck on the side like that. And how stupid does the mag look. I’ll stick with my gat gun thanks
So............you pay more for less!!.........FX must have some special Marketing formula working there, this is just a very clever Marketing Ploy, i can see the biggest market will be the U.S. who will buy into this Con in droves!!............or am i just being a bit cynical.?
A little cynical, but there is some truth in it. It definitely works in FX favour and reduces cost and that is good for the customer. As long as they are wise about their purchases and are happy, it is good.
Like all FX's this rifle is seriously ugly!!
Some people like them. I like the Impact, but many don't :)
It may shoot really well but it's ugly, it looks like a walking stick with a scope
If you confess so often that your not a good shooter , why do you have a rifle shooting site.
I’m a was a doctor ,Listen to me, you may die but ai talk a good game..
try camping equipment.. you could be a big hit. I shoot with a passion as much as I can and do it well..
why should we lest to you?….
Maybe people like hearing the opinion from a normal blokes perspective..
Instead of talking that much, you could have shown shooting accuracy, consistency, energy etc, yours is really boring videos
Thanks for the constructive criticism. You seem to be in a minority according to the comments.
silly rifle . Pointless
