I know you have been busy with touring Canada but I check every week for a new song……and you have not posted. What ever you post, I know one thing for sure,I am going to love it.
There are a lot of extremely talented guitarist on youtube, but absolutely no one else brings the same level of intricate detail or captures the original vibe of these songs in the same type of way. Every minute detail of each instrument and vocal is retold authentically and true to the artist's original intent, but with only two hands, some crazy fingernails, and a amazing sounding guitar. Always excited to watch these.
I love the fact that Kent’s song choices are not your obvious covers that would work on a guitar. I would have never thought of Moving Out as a candidate for finger picking acoustic interpretation.
You might be the only one that dares to play this song on acoustic, there's so much to the melody and rhythm to pull it off and do it justice but you nailed it again like with all your covers. Not only that but you have great taste in music. As a guitar player of 50 years you have my vote of confidence. You are amazing!
OMG!!! WOW!! But I don't have to say it, anyone who knows anything about music knows this is an outstanding, perfect performance! Awesome talent young man!!!
WOWWWZAA that is sheer astonishing I have never heard that classic song played in such a way be proud buddy you made some fine art in this bless you 💪🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👌🏼
WOW!!! Unbelievable young man, you never cease to amaze. I can't even begin to imagine how it is that you compose these songs, but I do commend you for staying true to the original score. As always, every single note is as was written, and I for one appreciate your efforts in doing so. AMAZING!!
Just discovered this amazing talent, and can’t stop watching his videos. Haven’t been so impressed with a guitarist since first seeing Stanley Jordan in the late 80s.
Ontario is lucky to have you for so many shows. You are a guitar wizard. Time and again you design and petform compositions that are simply magical. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
You have a very wonderful unique talent and style Kent .. I love it ... not unlike Robert Johnson with blues guitar playing and singing where everybody was convinced there was more than one person playing the guitar and this was in the 1920's ... ie. 100 years ago ... but they reckon he sold his soul to the devil at the Crossroads... some say he was just an ok guitarist before then one day he came back and was an awesome player ... the rest is legend ... you are there already ... !!!.... cheers for sharing
This is just fantastic! Another master piece by Kent to one of my Billy Joel’s favorite songs. You make the guitar sing with each note, which got me in the mood to sing along with you… but I then I decided to stop and just enjoy your brilliant rendition.
What an interesting choice of a song to cover. Amazing! I've been a Billy Joel fan for many years, but hearing this instrumental makes me appreciate how musically interesting this old song is. Thanks!
Many young Fingerstyle guitarists are great when it comes to techniques like drumming on the guitar. But this kid is great when it comes to choosing the better and classic songs to play
that tiny sub-number absolutely makes no sense at all, he should have blown up years ago already, cant wrap my mind around that... hes upmost amazingly calm while hitting these complex (nowords) and crisp clean... 😮😊
Kent you talented son of a gun. Thank you for producing tasty nostalgic jams like these to calm my mind before going to sleep each night. You are a treasure my man, keep shredding.
Maybe this is unnecessarily controversial but... There was a wonderful documentary on the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section on Netflix for a while. People like Aretha Franklin backed by the all-white band. More recently I watched the Summer of Soul, mostly to see B.B. King but the whole documentary (I really recommend it) was wonderful. I also got to see the lineup for Sly & The Family Stone. Whatever soul is, musically speaking (like so much of life) it refuses to fit into the tidy narratives we develop. Kent plays so soulfully to me and whatever soul is it seems to be, in part, a spiritual phenomenon (Lenny Kravitz was my guy in the 90s who was half Jewish on his fathers side). Anyway, I love the way this kid plays and it is always a highlight when a new video is released--I like Rock with You the best maybe. To conclude: Soul, whatever it is, is always disruptively unifying. Dylan at the march on Washington... anyway, there you have it. Kent Nishimura - to me a VERY soulful player.
Perfect Kent! Great dynamics, phrasing, transcription of this fantastic Joel's composition. Most importantly wonderfull listening experience hopefully will bring you more fans.
This is one of my all-time favourite tunes, and I cannot believe you were able to arrange and play it on a damn guitar.. Your talent is astounding... Bravo!
We were at the Sudbury Concert last night. What a thrill to be present for your first date on your first tour! It was a great show. Congratulations Kent. Enjoy Canada and please come back again some day! ケントさん、ありがとう!
Another excellent Kent masterpiece! Thank you, Kent! I love your taste in cover choices. And as always, such good arrangements that are as enjoyable (sometimes ever more) than the originals! Blessings to you!
Man the way you get the melody and the chords is really amazing. I look forward to listening to your music for many years. I would love to hear you speak about how you do this and what you are thinking about musically.

oh my absolutely
Kent always respects the original songs! You can almost hear Billy Joel's voice. Brilliant as always. Bravo Kent!
I love the fact that Kent’s song choices are not your obvious covers that would work on a guitar. I would have never thought of Moving Out as a candidate for finger picking acoustic interpretation.
Another brilliant Ken Nishimura video, the guy who made me make a nice big bonfire in my backyard and throw all my guitars in it.
Thanks.
Yeah, I am piling the kindling myself now...
😄
Every time I think Kent is as good as he can get, he releases a new video.
Return of the King!
One of my favourite Billy Joel songs
Kent is the human music box with the guitar. You just wind him up and he plays every single note and nuance
You make it look so easy, but I know it's not. Since I can't play, I'm just going to enjoy your great tunes. Keep on jammin' !!!
Remarkable arrangement again, Bravo maestro.
Billy Joel is one of my absolute favorites.
Saw Kent play last night in Sudbury...The sound of his guitar filled the room-so amazing. He should play Nothern Lights Festival some day...
That young man is amazing!!!
The absolute best guitar player on RUclips that plays this style of guitar
I always come to see the technique of playing the song on a single guitar.
I always STAY for the excellent MUSIC!
Incredible musicianship as always. 😊
We could talk about your playing all day and night, but your song selection and arrangements deserve recognition as well. Great job as usual!

Whenever Kent posts I immediately stop what I’m doing and listen. Especially if it’s a song I like such as this.
Nicely done mate. This arrangement is fantastic.
Kent blessing us with one before he goes on tour! Sublime, as ever.
Every upload you keep reminding everyone why they can never reach you 🔥🔥
Gasp my favorite yay!!! Thank you so much!
OMG!!! WOW!! But I don't have to say it, anyone who knows anything about music knows this is an outstanding, perfect performance! Awesome talent young man!!!
Good God almighty this is amazing! He's playing all the parts at the same time!
Definitely enjoyed this cover!! 😄Awesome as always! I would love to hear your cover of “Just the way you are” by Billy Joel next time! 🙌☺️✨
WOWWWZAA that is sheer astonishing I have never heard that classic song played in such a way be proud buddy you made some fine art in this bless you 💪🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👌🏼
Like Butta’ 🧈 Another awesome job👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You’re the best guitarist I’ve seen ever
Excellent rendition. 👏 👏 👏
Oh my! Beautifully unique expression❤
Lead, rythem ,bass and percussion with one guitar Wow

That was awesome, Kent. I could hear him singing it through your playing. Incredible!
All of his videos just make me so frustrated that there is only one like button!
For SURE, the BEST 3 minutes 23 seconds of my day thus far .... GREAT JOB kind sir.. Thank you for sharing
Great cover. Such brilliant dynamism in your playing
You are not only a joy to listen to but also watch, fantastic voicing’s !
Excellent! Hope you play more Billy Joel, one of my favorite artists.
Another great KN interpretation! Thanks Kent!

One of my favourite Billy songs ever…. And you absolutely did it proud, you genius ❤

The pacing is so good! The original intent of the song is all there in one guitar. Bravo, so, so good.
Such a lush sound! For all of your technical accomplishments, the groove is so incredible.
I agree completely! His playing is off the charts, but his pocket is unwordly…
that tiny sub-number absolutely makes no sense at all, he should have blown up years ago already, cant wrap my mind around that... hes upmost amazingly calm while hitting these complex (nowords) and crisp clean... 😮😊
Wow unbelievable. I imagine his rendition of “JEFFERSON STARSHIP MIRACLES” would be out of this world.
absolutely brilliant, Kent. the way you've captured the essence of the tune.... I'm in awe!
Kent you talented son of a gun. Thank you for producing tasty nostalgic jams like these to calm my mind before going to sleep each night. You are a treasure my man, keep shredding.
Wow that’s good! thank you so much Kent. Really really enjoyed it!
ah man my favorite billy joel tune
This has moved to the top of my favorite Kent covers! (Or at least into a top 3). Whatever wizard tuning it took to play that sounded amazing!
Wow. Just wow.
🎉❤😊
I sure wish I could play like that. This is absolutely wonderful talent.( and a beautiful guitar !)
Man... You are just... different. And the result is enjoyably amazing! Keep it going!
I got so excited seeing you posted something new 😊

Kent, your arrangements of songs for finger style solo guitar are the best I have ever heard. Thanks!
Perfect Kent! Great dynamics, phrasing, transcription of this fantastic Joel's composition. Most importantly wonderfull listening experience hopefully will bring you more fans.
Another great cover! Your playing is truly beautiful and is often the soundtrack for my drum practicing. Thank you so much!
Absolutely impeccable
