Thanks for pictures of the construction process and for sharing the aviary. Love Seraphina hamming it up or is she foxing it up? Montage of all the animals enjoying the new space shows off another AWM triumph. Kudos to all involved.

Yay! This adjacently reminds me of design concepts of universal and accessible design. Designing to meet specific access needs, addressing barriers to safe outdoor participation (for the birds) and ends up maximizing usability for many more participants. :) I love when things end up being very multipurpose/multifuctional! Glad to see all the animals soaking up all those sunrays before the cold!
I think I need one to keep the deer out of my veg garden LOL! This is a great addition to your facility. How nice of BirdTricks to help with the project. I subscribed to their channel as a thank you....and because I'm crazy about birds! I can just imagine them stretching their wings out for a nice sunbath.
The aviary gods blessed you, As a young adult I live in my childhood apartment with my mother, can’t afford or get my mother into the idea of having an aviary in our space, but I do stroll my Bird’s regular caging to our sunshine balcony, where he gets to experience the outside-inside, sunshine and breeze and his natural diet breakfast (where he’s happily content and often enjoy his “me time”), can’t recommend looking into how to outdoor-aviary enough.
Wonderful new space for your birds to "play" and soak up some sunshine. I would not have guessed that it would be used by your other animals too! Seraphina is looking gorgeous ... and happy ... today!

Yes, for sure only in warm enough weather for the tropical birds. And we can use the space for cold tolerant species throughout the rest of the seasons too!
Oh that’s super cool that Jamie Lee hook you guys up. She’s a sweetie too. Love all the hard work for the birds 🐦. We have an ancient connection with birds, do you guys know the Egyptian eye is actually the eye of the falcon… And you guys know if you have a parrot what happens to your bird when a falcon is in the air! The human connection with the animals of the earth… It’s not really a great way to describe it. We are of the earth just as much as they are.
Looks awesome! My dad used to have a 40ft long by 8ft wide aviary where he kept, Goldfinchs, Siskins, Bullfinches and numerous other birds. It was great seeing them fly from one end to the other. He fed them seed and live mealworms (chopped up sometimes) and were some of their favourite food. I used to like mixing up hard boiled egg yolk and the white with seed which the birds seem to like a lot and watching the babies grow was always nice.
Can you do a video showing all your mammals or amphibians, because you already did reptiles and birds*. *I'm putting an asterisk next the birds because, birds are technically reptiles and fall right in the middle of the reptile clade.
We usually only have one kind of animal enjoying it at a time. Strictly no predator/prey situations going on. Though the cavies and the parakeets do quite well together.
That's lovely! In the summer can the birds live in the aviary, or is it a space to be used during waking hours and then they go back to their own cages?
They could stay out at night if the temperature is going to stay above 60°F. Any animal that wouldn't prey on birds would be okay to co-mingle with them. The cavies, armadillos, Lollipop the skunk, the tortoises, and some of the lizards would do great!
Wow I saw those aviaries over on Birdtricks’ channel in so many videos. Can’t believe they’re now being used at Animal Wonders!!! That’s just so amazing

I used to watch you guys when I was about 8 years old and wow you guys are amazing.
My girlfriend did a photo shoot in an empty aviary dressed up as a parrot for a pet magazine to spread awareness about feather loss diseases.
