The patient has been experiencing extreme shoulder, neck, and arm pain for the last 4-5 months which has resulted in her inability to move her arm to perform basic activities like opening doors. Her previous treatment attempts included medications, acupuncture, and massage, none of which could alleviate the pain. Before ASTR treatment, she described her pain level as a constant 5 on a scale from 0 to 10, with the pain getting as intense as 8-9 at its most severe. Along with her excruciating pain, her range of motion was extremely limited. Doc ! You told in this video that pain signifies localised inflammation , so there is not point in rubbing or massaging that particular painful area which will aggravate inflammation, that's true I agree... But on the contrary you rub it with that " Hammer " .

Hi @The Human Mechanic, thank you for your interest in ASTR! There is a fine line between causing and not causing pain in the site of the inflammation. Often times, rubbing/massaging the area that the painful will create more pain and aggravate the area. However, with the tools that I use, it avoids increasing the pain. I also let the patients know throughout the treatment to let me know if they feel any pain to avoid it. No that's just a moderate frozen shoulder, not severe. With severe restriction you can't move more than 30° in any direction. She gets to 90°
